Nobody looks the dogs in every single fight chaps it's boxing end of the day the most important thing is too win Hopkins would win ugly with most of his fights but he was regarded as a master craftsman so just think long and hard.;)
You get confused with being impressive and being boring. Fury was impressive beating Wlad because he just shut him out easily. Doesn’t matter that it was boring. AJ beating Parker wasn’t impressive. He won the fight but didn’t look great doing it.

Never confused mate I have seen thousands of fights through the years stating facts some win ugly some impressive it's how it is,!!!! it was boring but AJ won it was not a classic.
Many fights I have waited for inantisapasion that they were going to be classics but turned out to be stinkers or simply shit.
Many fights I have watched thinking I have wasted 36 minutes of my life but I am a fan my son has boxed I help train him boxing is a great sport and I love it.
Anybody who gets in that ring should have respect the average Joe would be on his back in a pool of blood and snot in under a minute.;)
Re: 2 Shit performances from AJ..... I'd pick Wilder to smoke him
Despite Joshua's limitations becoming evident in yesterday's fight, I'd still pick him to defeat Wilder (with fair officiating).
But I do have some doubts about it now.
Wilder has even longer arms than Joshua. Can Joshua defend himself against a man Wilder's size? Wilder is a poor boxer, but he does have world-class KO power with his windmill punches. And where will the fight take place? The referee could make a difference in a close fight, and now we've seen both boxers with a corrupt referee helping them.
It's an interesting match-up. We know one thing for certain: someone will be knocked out.

Exactly!
I've never understood the Fury bandwagon. Other than him being the one to end Wlad's long reign, he's a one-hit wonder. The Wlad fight was the worst HW title fight in the history of boxing... and he's done nothing since, but implode. Talks a lot, like Haye, but little else. Frankly, I think he gets soundly beaten by both AJ and Wilder. For those who don't remember, Wlad threw about 4 punches per round against Fury. Don't think that would happen against either of the current champs.
For me, a contender for worst heavyweight title fight in history would be AJ vs Charles Martin
Re: 2 Shit performances from AJ..... I'd pick Wilder to smoke him
Does Wilder know how to maintain distance and move around?
If he can do that and land keeping Joshuas chances of getting close to minimum, then has has a chance.

Wilder has the height and speed to outbox AJ for parts of the fight and certainly has the power to keep AJ respectful. Wilder has boxing skills to cause AJ problems but think as soon as AJ lands he will knock out Wilder cold.
Re: 2 Shit performances from AJ..... I'd pick Wilder to smoke him
Won't say it was shat but he definitely acted disinterested or frustrated in spots. Fact that he couldn't keep Parker pinned and cut off a ring is a red flag concerning any Wilder fight, Parker wasn't exactly missing him by a mile when he decided to sit down and time off the jab. He didn't gas and owned late rounds with better jab down stretch but when on his heels and facing quick shifts he was lumbering a bit. If he has that approach with Wilder I can see him secondary in hand speed and somewhat predictable but for sure he has a deeper tool box, composure and sturdier foundation than the one trick pony that is Wilder. What makes Wilder dangerous as much as flawed is his recklessness and unpredictability. May have just been a case of the ol 'win today and look great tomorrow'. I saw it about 116-112 closer than the absurd 119-109 but clearly Joshua wide winner.
Re: 2 Shit performances from AJ..... I'd pick Wilder to smoke him
You have a point about the unorthodox nature of Wilder, that would cause the conventional AJ a few sleepless nights.

I'm going to slightly take issue with this, mainly because I don't cut Fury any slack. I think it was more a case of timid Wlad shutting himself down, than Fury doing any shutting down of his own. If anything, Fury did his work before the fight, when he obviously got into Wlad's head. Had Wlad come out against Fury like he did against AJ, it would've been a whoooooole different story. Think Cunningham knocking down Fury. A non-catatonic Wlad would've KFTO'ed him emphatically.

Fury beat Wlad in his own backyard and that deserves credit. He also deserves abuse for throwing it all away. He is a Prat.
Re: 2 Shit performances from AJ..... I'd pick Wilder to smoke him
AJ got the win and it's sometimes difficult to take a 0 off of somebody as some fighters are willing to give that 0 away at the drop of a hat and some will fight tooth and nail to keep it. This all will boil down to Wilder and AJ and how they treat their 0's....who is ready to give it up?
You have to start to wonder how much that fight vs Wlad took out of AJ. Deontay Wilder hasn't had a knock down drag out like that one, AJ proved he was the better man that day, but at what cost, it's a question that has to come up now. Also it must be asked can Wilder cope with adversity in a fight? Not many guys have stood in there with him long enough to make him answer those hard questions about himself.
I think more and more it's looking like a 50-50 fight which is good for boxing, it's good for PPV and this should indeed be a PPV fight just based on the status of it...undefeated, undisputed, heavyweight championship of the world, that's PPV regardless of what names are on the card.
I think Anthony Joshua will win, I am not really cheering for either fighter as I'm not really a fan of either guy, I'm just hoping for a good fight and most importantly that the fight happens IMMEDIATELY not in 2 years, not in 5 years, not a decade from now, but right fucking now.

Don't see anything from Josh that tells me he's got another level to go to.... has the Hype got to him?
For me a "Wlad Fit" Tyson Fury toys with the pair of them ;)
I've never heard anyone describe Wilder as fluid and slick.
I'm still picking Joshua. Wilderes only chance is to land big and honestly I dont think he'll take the chances to go for it. See it being a awful Joshua UD.
Re: 2 Shit performances from AJ..... I'd pick Wilder to smoke him
I think Wilder should be more worried about the preferential treatment AJ will get fighting at home. The judges scored it too wide for AJ, so Wilder will not get a decision over here. Also the ref in the Takam fight was premature in his stoppage so think the ref will be with AJ too.
Do not blame Wilder to make demands now for some equity in the fight.
Re: 2 Shit performances from AJ..... I'd pick Wilder to smoke him
Fury is a decent boxer but hasn't got the power to trouble AJ. Fury got in against Wlad who for some reason did fuck all..i can appreciate that people might say that fury didnt allow him to, or he made wlad miss but wlad didnt throw..he looked shit against Fury that night...very off.
AJ would close distance and throw a lot more against Fury..and Fury would get stopped..as AJ would not be able to outbox Fury so would just open up, close distance and blit Fury. Wilder too would stop Fury in the same manner
Fury is a fat chinny pikey :)
