A metabolite is a byproduct of the body breaking down or metabolizing a drug into a different substance. When a drug is leaving the user's system, it leaves these intermediate end products.
Dianabol is an anabolic steroid that is taken orally (often in tablet form). It was developed in 1955 to treat hypogonadism but is no longer used medically and is no longer legally available in many countries, including the United States. It can still be purchased in the United Kingdom and is often used as a performance enhancing drug (particularly by bodybuilders). Among its many side effects, it can cause serious liver damage.
The amount of epimethandienone and hydroxymethandienone found in Whyte's "A" sample was very small. It could have been ingested as part of a supplement rather than the direct ingestion of Dianabol tablets. But the WADA standard for epimethandienone and hydroxymethandienone is qualitative, not quantitative. In order words, any amount of epimethandienone or hydroxymethandienone in an athlete's system is a violation of the WADA code.

Re: Dillian Whyte Tests Positive For Banned Substance
Now we’ll probably have to listen to him cry about how he should be allowed to cheat, no worse than his BS argument that the WBC was mistreating him over the 4 days he was a mandatory
Re: Dillian Whyte Tests Positive For Banned Substance
Sports need to be tough on punishment. Tragedy will need to occur before the problem is taken seriously
Re: Dillian Whyte Tests Positive For Banned Substance
Odd how the fight was allowed to go ahead despite the drug test fail.
Silence from Whyte and Hearn telling too.
Re: Dillian Whyte Tests Positive For Banned Substance
What a sham that this was allowed to go ahead if a “commission” knew about a positive test for roids beforehand. That would never happen in fucking tennis, but in blood sport, yeah no biggie. Rivas should sue the UKAD if they knew about it, what possible defence could be presented? Joke.
Re: Dillian Whyte Tests Positive For Banned Substance
Really is a new low, though it's probably not the first time, that failed result was known prior and fighter and promoter withheld it from opponent and everyone else concerned. Who exactly is responsible for sitting on that info and when do they face charges? Whyte should be dropped from rankings banned and decision void. Irony, Hearn finally stops talking for once.

Re: Dillian Whyte Tests Positive For Banned Substance
Interesting points raised by Hearn.
Whyte paid for VADA testing out of his own pocket - around £40k.
The panel were presented with the facts about these "substances" and saw fit to let the fight go ahead.
Either a criminal act has been committed or Whyte had something non performance enhancing in his system.
I'd be amazed if the BBBOC allowed him to fight knowing he had PEDS in his system.
Re: Dillian Whyte Tests Positive For Banned Substance
We must remember drugs are prevalent in all sports cheats are clever but as time go.
The testing is getting better but they will always be playing catch-up.
Every body is looking for a edge so many will take a chance weather it be boxing rugby etc what can be done not a clue.
Whyte is just one of many others will come to light we can ban them but as they have made millions out of cheating do they really care.!
Re: Dillian Whyte Tests Positive For Banned Substance
What makes this worse is that any time a fighter does a lot of bellyaching about "not being given opportunities".... "being shunned for one reason or another"...... "being ducked by X of Y opponent"..... and whatnot..... it just makes it twice as bad when you then get caught with illegal stuff in your system.
I mean WTF?
Re: Dillian Whyte Tests Positive For Banned Substance
The thing is, Hearn is no mug and I find my intelligence being insulted by the fact that he is playing it as coy as he is. He knows all the potential outcomes, in light of any number of potential banana skins. He knew that if a fighter tests positive, the fight could still go ahead but imagine Rivas testing positive and Eddie not telling Dillian. You can't, because it would never happen!

Thing is this isn't about throwing, running, kicking a ball further or faster.
The aim of the game is to punch fuck out of the other guys head and body, the harder and more frequently you can do that the more damage your gonna do.
A Heavyweight boxer around 6 and a half feet and 17-18 stone upwards who's trained to fight is dangerous enough, stick PEDS into him and the damage he can do increases loads.

"UKAD do not sanction boxers for PED breaches until the full adjudication process is complete, including B sample testing, and subsequent hearings by the NADP – National Anti-Doping Panel.
This meant that the BBBofC had little option but to allow him to fight"
From talksport - not sure if thats true or not but if it is..its absolutel fucking bullshit and the rules need to be changed
