Beterbiev and Ward would be my top two as far as who i would favour to beat him, Bivol also has every chance. I think how effective he is at 175 is still a bit of a question mark, as Kovalev wasn't exactly red hot and still gave him big trouble(I didn't think Kov was winning like many did, but there was room for him to have been, if that makes sense.) Callum Smith does marginally better than his brother did imo, Saunders would need to box out of his skin to capitalize on what advantages he'd have, and GGG is clearly not the same fighter who beat Canelo the first time, regardless of how you scored the second, they are going in different directions. David Benavidez would have the best chance of anyone not mentioned so far, that's a great fight.
you are right, lets not say 100%, lets say who he would be the underdog against

Re: three guys you 100% think beat canelo
There's no 100% in boxing. Of anything let alone beating or meeting someone. Sometimes things go sideways, guys phone it in just happy to be there, divas eat to many special steaks and forfeit dates, judges drink to much at the open bar before sitting down with pen in hand. Canelos two hardest more impressive W's are equally flanked by guys perceived to be the weakest links aka belt holders in higher divisions. If he's asking himself who stands a great chance of beating him at 175 he full well knows he's not about to sign for Beterbiev or Bivol. Which he will not and shows no interest in doing so. It's not like he can blame Corona for uncertainty and fans not clamoring for a certain huge scalp..he and Hearn seemed rudderless beforehand opponent wise. Golovkin III seems all but inevitable and he'll probably require him to come up in weight, to which Golovkin will completely comply at this stage.

yeh i just said that to p4pking above. it looked like billy joe was going to be next before covid, he fought sergey before artur & dmitry have, with only one fight at the weight, he can't fight everyone in a night. he still has fights left on his dazn deal so lets see who he fights

Boo Boo was also signed to fight a Charlo before saying he should get more money and opting out. He's now also rudderless.

To fight who? BJS. Who wanted to see that preening pose fest ???. No if Canelo wants to climb new heights he can't go back to a guy who just went life and death v an unknown with 3 names none of which I can pronounce. Even divas need standards ;D

callum turned down the fight, should canelo kidnap his family & force him to fight? callum was lucky to even be asked after the gorilla john mugged him. name a guy that you would be happy for canelo to face in his next three fights supermiddleweight & below
Re: three guys you 100% think beat canelo
Canelo wasn't in his prime against Floyd or anyone from 6 or 7 years ago. His improvement in the past couple of years is plain to see and he's still only 29. There's not a single guy at 160/168 who could have been favourite stepping up to face Kovalev.
He has the best resume in boxing by miles (excluding Pac), hence why every reputable publication have him P4P no.1
Salty fan feelings don't trump facts. Fact.

do you think austin, floyd, erislandy, ggg & jacobs were clever matching?
Trout - meh ! Why shouldn’t he have fought him and beat him at the time? Or do you have to have a whole career of dead certs?
Floyd - no . I said that, if you care to look.
Lara - a lot of people thought he lost.
GGG - undoubtedly yes! I have to say it’s just as much Golovkin’s fault for hanging on Canelo’s nuts for the big payday. But there’s no doubt he waited for Golovkin to grow old . Have to say, he fully deserved his win and draw in my opinion .
Jacobs - kinda. I like Jacobs, but he wasn’t active enough in his career fights wise for whatever reasons , GBP took advantage of that and sneaked a win.
You make it sound like me saying he was cleverly matched is a criticism, whereas it’s not , if anything it’s a compliment. “Law of the Jungle, A-side,B-side” and all that.
But hey, i’ll See your names, and raise you Rhodes, Hatton, Gomez,Cintron , Moseley, Angulo, Kirkland, Khan, Liam Smith, Chavez, Fielding and Kovalev, and tell me he wasn’t “cleverly matched” against them?
Don’t get me wrong, with his record, I wouldn’t argue too strongly with his p4p ranking.
It’s not insulting him to say he could lose to Callum Smith and he would lose to Bivol and Beterbiev. they’re bigger guys with loads of power to someone who started at WW.
Re: three guys you 100% think beat canelo
There isn't a fighter who ever boxed you can't play that game with. Canelo has fought a slew of guys he'd get major flack for having not fought otherwise, in fact most of them. Whether anyone like him personally or the way his team negotiates means sweet fuck all... That shouldn't have to be said, but apparently does.
