If Lennon was still alive he would have been an antifacist and you and Wally'smates would be lining up for a chance to shoot him.
Glad you saw fit to post this. Really gives us all some insight as to what major malfunctions you're dealing with on a day to day basis.
Seek help
I saw fit to post it because it is a forum on which to post opinions. Your cancel culture bullshit doesn't work anymore.
Imagine if i really did have mental health problems. Can you not see how damaging your constant gas lighting would be?
Really bruh?
Did you mention "mental health problems"?
Would I be wrong if I had?
Can anybody fill me in on wtf beaner babe is going on about. I just kind of say what I mean and mean what I say I can’t be bothered with the game bullshit.
Again, this will be John Lennon’s 80th b-day weekend. There are a lot of tributes and music being played in my area. That was the reason I posted this. Always loved the Beatles and the impact they left will not soon be forgotten. Forty years ago he was shot in front of his apartment, or condo I should say. I have visited the site a couple times but mostly spend my time at strawberry fields in Central Park the memorial they made for Lennon.
Re: John Lennon would be 80 years old this weekend
John Lennon was a great songwriter. I find it very peculiar to suggest anyone would want him shot and to actually associate posters and those they know with such a terrible thing. In my view Lennon was outgrowing his 'Antifa' teenage years by his mid 30's and like most sensible people decided to get domestic, accumulate wealth, and along the way bake a good loaf of bread. He had changed a lot even in those final few years. I suspect Lennon, like Lydon or Morrissey, being the complex contrarian he was, would probably not be all that easy to read or predict.

Miles is back. Cool good to see you miles. I was baffled as it’s just a tribute to Lennon thread. Politics and personal agenda need not permeate everythread. I wrote it because it isn’t political and I certainly didn’t have an agenda to stick anything to anyone. Here is a song Paul wrote for John. It has an ad at the start but I always thought it was a nice tribute

Well here's the nuts and bolts of it. @El Kabong made a factual statement about Mark David Chapman and his intentions... and in swooped Beanz to take an unprovoked, unwarranted swipe at Kabong and by the way mention you in the process.
Even my next door neighbor who doesn't know what Saddo's is... knows that much.
Re: John Lennon would be 80 years old this weekend
I apologise.
Maybe El Kabong and Walrus mates would just have kidnapped him.
Look how all four of you can't live without rehashing the same old sick narrative.
Re: John Lennon would be 80 years old this weekend
The point is look at the hypocrisy of these alt right corporate soy boys claiming to have some kind of kinship with a Socialist musician whilst repeatedly backing and voting in parties that want the arts to die on their knees and are sustained by arms dealing.
Vacous narcassicm by wanna be militia boys ex MIC boot boys and a ex pat who dreams of becoming a nazi vegan.
Re: John Lennon would be 80 years old this weekend
Hypocrisy is anyone who writes the lyrics to Imagine while living in luxury. He owned 7 apartments in the Dakota, one of the most expensive buildings in New York at the time. Yoko worked the markets like a busy bee. Lennon was more like Walrus and Co than you would care to 'Imagine'.
In my view Imagine is one of his worst songs as lyrically it is so bogus. Lennon is better acerbic and true to himself. Nowhere Man, I'm So Tired, Watching the Wheels. I like those more.

There @Beanz goes again I think he might love me. Maybe baby beaner should approve all accounts and all posts prior to them making the boards, perhaps then he will be ok with things

OR I could do what I have done with people talented enough to pull it off which is not pay attention to their political beliefs and just appreciate their work as an artist. John Lennon wasn't so much a socialist as he was just an anti-authority kind of guy. And he wasn't a nice guy, like not at all.
Do you like Salvadore Dali? Do you appreciate Ezra Pound? I've got bad news for you dear.

You see what you want, I see a troubled man, a little bitter, a little cynical, with a lot of questions and not a lot of solutions. But hey then there's you, you've got it all figured out don't you sweetheart.

Re: John Lennon would be 80 years old this weekend
@elkabong you, or for that matter I, could pick out many instances of Lennon being an ass. I think you mentioned look what he did to his first wife and son. Poor dude had his mother killed pretty much in front of him and the before he turned 30 he was amongst the most famous humans on the planet. He went through a lot of phases trying to find things and was a notorious nasty drunk. No doubt he was full of flaws. I hate to tell you how many books and videos I’ve watched about the Beatles. I was certainly obsessed with them for years. Thing is he was an artist. He had a gift not many are endowed with. It seems at 40, when he got shot, he was finding himself again. I’m not as smart as beaner I don’t know if he would be antifa or whatever but I would think after what Nixon did to him and how the left tried to use him he would be apolitical. Purely a guess on my part.
On the ride home from work I was listening to the Beatles channel on XM radio and they are interviewing Paul McCartney and playing obscure Lennon stuff. It’s quite nice, they played an acoustic “watching the wheels” I don’t remember hearing before. So whatever politics Lennon had I really don’t care. The guy had an impact on the music we listen to that continues to ripple through time. Beatles music brings me happiness and although I never met Lennon I will always be thankful to him for that. That’s all I had in mind when I started this thread. Very sad he was killed at 40. He was writing some decent stuff after not touching a guitar for years. Had he lived fuck the politics I would have loved to hear what he came out with. A man full of faults who left us music to enjoy for many years to come. Thank you Mr. Lennon.
Re: John Lennon would be 80 years old this weekend
I don't see why people are celebrating the life of this man, and even wishing he was still alive.
He was single handedly responsible for the creation of a totalitarian system like no other in human history, millions of deaths, deportations and genocide. The Tsar's family were murdered under his direct orders, he demanded absolute rule and no discussion or dissent.
Its amazing how people forget, or look at the past with utter rose tinted glasses.
Unbelievable. Simply unbelievable.

And he could sing to boot. How many other genocidal maniacs can sing like he did. Granted i heard Hitler was pretty good at belting out show tunes but still.
