Heading into 2022 it looks like this:
Oleksandr Usyk.
Brian Castano.
Naoya Inoue.
Roman Gonzalez.
Juan Francisco Estrada.
Josh Taylor.
Inoue
Jared Anderson
Keyshawn Davis
Boots Ennis
Usyk
Since I gave 6 for some reason last year, I'll give 6 for this year. Heading into 2023 it looks like this:
Usyk.
Inoue.
Roman Gonzalez.
Juan Francisco Estrada.
Radzhab Butaev.
Subriel Matías.
Castano has slipped outside my top 5 until I see where he is when he returns.
Taylor has a chance to put on a better performance in the rematch with Catterall.
2023 could be the last year for both Usyk and Gonzalez.
That whole "taking names" list needs much work. Benavidez is at least set to take a name. Well take one lol. But that's it. Teo is one or two distraction nights away from taking orders at Texas Roadhouse. With his Dad. Ennis is fighting a Karen and succumbing to 'interim' hibernation.
You tell me these guys are fighting and I need/want to see based on recent opposition...
Inoue
Usyk
Prograis
Charlo 154
Bivol
Bam Rodriquez
To be continued
Cool! Yes... let's revisit. ;D
Inoue is still there.
LOL @Spicoli on Teo. Nail on head. Dude needs a serious turnaround to the suddenly glaring chinks in his armor.
Subriel and Xander are still there, of course. ;D
Acosta has faded from my rearview mirror.
To take his place, I'll have to give the nod to Bivol. Won my instant gratitude for bringing a certain red-headed diva crashing back down to earth.
These would be mine:
Regis Prograis
Naoya Inoue
Stephen Fulton
Frank Martin
David Nyika
Inoue
Bivol
Usyk
Haney
Josh Kelly - not in the class of the others , but just like watching him fight.
Joyce
Fury
GGG
Loma
Yarde
My new list is as follows,
Naoya Inoue
Anthony Yarde
Tyson Fury
Dan Azeez
Artur Beterbiev
Inoue - been saying he's #1 p4p for years
Bivol - anybody that spanks Canelo is ok in my book
Xander Zayas
Subriel Matias
Oscar Collazo
(Yes... the last three are local fighters). ;D
