Floyd did have huge air balloons. It did help him. Not saying he would have lost, but it did help him.
Even HBO had to explain that Floyd's air bags were OK to use.
Anybody who says boxing gloves don't matter... better do their research.
But that's the gloves they decided on, and Judah lost.
Fair statement, but Zab was landing until Floyd made adjustments, and even after that, most of the punches Zab missed with were weaved, not blocked. So really, how did they help? Maybe by cushioning his hands, but like you said, Zab agreed. Same gloves or different, the outcome would have been the same. It's not like those gloves got bigger.Quote:

To the point where they only allowed their fighters to use Reyes gloves.
See, here's a picture of a Klingon.
And see, Erik Morales found out the hard way, to become a Klingon. ;)

So, it was the gloves, not the adjustments, or Floyd's higher boxing IQ, or the brutal body beating he was giving Zab, or even the fact that Zab was discouraged after he saw Floyd could take any of his punches. Is that what you're saying? I don't think it is, but you're starting to sound like Sal. ;DQuote:

But your right, it was "Floyd's higher boxing IQ, or the brutal body beating he was giving Zab, or even the fact that Zab was discouraged after he saw Floyd could take any of his punches."
Thats one of the most complete explainations of that fight, I've heard yet, by the way.
So in all fairness, shouldn't Zab have torn up Floyd's face with the smaller gloves?
What if Floyd wore smaller gloves and still landed the shots he did?
Couldn't he possibly have knocked Zab out in return?
Coulda, shoulda, woulda.
One could make any excuse to justify a fighter's loss.
But at the end of the day the better fighter won.
Even Zab ackowledged that.
Zab credited Floyd's superior defense work after the fight. Didn't say anything about the gloves.
And besides, white gloves look even bigger than they actually are.
Film yourself with a camcorder wearing a white sweater, then film yourself wearing a black sweater.
The white sweater looks huge!
and of corse they didnt say it that way,Quote:

Those big giant clown gloves looked like thos inflatable ones people buy for parties.
Massive inflatable gloves + 2 piss heads + a bouncy castle = shitloads of fun ;D
