I don't sadclick people for difference of opinions ;)
Actually, the only person I can recall sadclicking is Royal...
Its Floyd's fault... why it should make a round a 10-8 round I'll never know... ::**Quote:

I always thought when people say 'wow, did you see the Knock down' they would be talking about a hard accurate punch that hits the opponent right on the button and shuts him down... seems like its been watered down recently for Zab fans I guess... ;)
Yes it does.Quote:

You mean like the way Eric Esch caught Larry Holmes off balance and that wasn't ruled as a knock down?
yes. I also think its stupid for butterbean to go around claiming he floored Holmes...
Don't worry Starr... I'll say it just to keep you happy, your man Floyd legitamatly knocked Mayweather down, just like when Tua dropped ruiz and Lewis dropped Tyson. He's just that good.... ;)
it may of been a crap knockdown but thats not really the point, fact is that it was legitiment and Zab deserved a 10-8 round.....because he was winning the round anyway.Quote:

:coolclick: All the "if"s are stupid. It WAS a knockdown, and it should have been ruled caused by a punch but there were a bunch of other factors that led to him going down, the punch probably being the least of them.Quote:

What would that make a round then? 10-7? 10-6? ;) Marcus of Queensberry would not be impressed... :P
knockdown is caused by a punch.
Answer me this, would Mayweather have staggered and needed to put his glove on the canvas if Zab hadn't hit him?
I think your just missing my point because you like the idea that Zab was able to properly put Floyd on the floor. Sorry.
I'm not saying that according to some sanctioning body it wasn't within the rules of being scored as a knock down... I'm saying it wasn't a real knock down... there was no power in the shot and it didn't hurt Floyd more than any other glancing shot would of.
People are saying that Zab properly knocked Floyd down as if he had the skill and work rate to be able to bring the fight to Zab enough to floor him. Not try... a proper knock down (again try and forget some sanctioning bodies for a second here if you can allow your self to actually put your boy Zab in his real place here) is caused by some one getting hit with enough force and in an area that caused either enough trauma to the body to paralyse the legs or enough power to cause a concussion... Zab didn't do that to Floyd... you can use what ever technicality you want and phrase it in a way that makes it sound like Zab rocked Floyd and put him down but the fact is HE DIDN'T.
I'm not a fan of either and once the mayweather and Zab fan boys get lost maybe this fight can be discussed properly with out the massive bias every one (mostly the zab camp) are throwing around. Respect to Zab... he showed up with a good fight but he wasn't good enough. End of.
To answer your question: no, no answer this... if some one slips and touches the canvas from another boxers foot... would that of happened if he'd not been in the ring?
Good point.Quote:

He was hit, something other than his feet touched the mat as a result to the punch, it's a knockdown.
It just makes it possible to make sound decisions in accordance with the rules.
