He deserves to be there, unquestionably. James Toney is a lock, him, Hopkins and Jones are all legends, and Jones whupped em both.

gatti cause of his entertainment value plus heart and determination

Can't argue he had/has all of those, but that don't get in you in the hall of fame
...............And neither does losing to Ivan Robinson and Micky Ward ;D)

The following should also make it:
Shane Mosley
James Toney (though his trash-talking will make some guys vote against him)
Joe Calzaghe
Felix Trinidad
Manny Pacquiao
dark horses:
Tarver, Glen Johnson, Winky Wright, Arturo Gatti, Jose Luis Castillo, Corrales, Hatton (if he keeps winning for awhile)
Re: How many current fighters are future Hall of Famers?

Two absolute certainties that no one here has mentioned, Holyfield for sure, he hasn't fought in what about a year and a half. Which means he needs about 3.5 more years of inactivity, and Thomas Hearns if he ever stops fighting. He just fought a couple of month's ago so he has 5 years to go before he gets elected in. I believe both will fight again so who knows how long for either.

Absolutely. If either Holyfield or Hearns doesn't make it there's something wrong. They were both so good that I figured they were in there already. ;D

:coolclick: i agree definatly ...speaking of hall of fame ...i always wonder how good u have to be ...its not the hall of skill ..its the hall of fame ....and so is it basicly popularity? and fame that they look for? if so butterbean even deserves to be there ....lol (maybe) but u feel what i'm sayin
Re: How many current fighters are future Hall of Famers?
If Tarver gets in on the sole purpose of being Roy Jones Jr's conquerer then Jermain Taylor is a shoe in already even if he gets beaten by Wright ;D
