Same thing can be said about Roy Jones Jr. ... he didn't want to fight out of the country, and he wanted to make as much money as he could... Nigel Benn wouldn't come, and Roy JOnes was the man to beat yet people wouldn't move into his weight class to fight him... who's fault is that.
I feel that he ducked Roy Jones, in a way.. Sure he didn't get as much money as he wanted, but I believe he had an option close to 40% of the purse, and RJJ was a WAY bigger draw back then.. He could have made alot of $$ anyways, although maybe about the same as he did to fight DLH, and that's where the business aspect comes in. Anywas Roy is one fight I think he may have avoided, but to say he ducked Calzaghe is ridiculous. calzaghe wasn't known anywhere but Wales, and wasn't willing to leave his backyard.. Besides that neither challenged the other and both had other fights to make..(Only Hopkins actually did make other fights, Calzaghe just did nothing for a few years and waited for someone to come to him eventually.)
if calzaghe wanted B-HOP he could have lost a few pounds and beatin a #1 contender to force B-HOP into a fight ;)
Of course B-Hop ducked. It's so obvious when you see the style he fights. Thats how he gets hit so little. DUCKING!!!

First off, Salthebutcher, there's nothing "great" about Klitschko. When I see him beat a legit sized heavyweight then I will be impressed.
And for you folks who still believe Hopkins was somehow ducking Calzaghe, what dont you get about this? Hop was THE MAN at 160. Who says you have to move up in weight? His skills were maximized at 160, so thats where he fought. That doesnt mean he was ducking guys at 160. Thats just stupid.

Hopkins didnt duck Calzaghe. Calzaghe just wasnt a big enough shot when Bernard was sharp.
