Re: Who's got money on Mayorga?
So eberyone that's banking on Oscar winning by boxing..
Do you think he can do it for 12 rounds against a guy who will be relentless in coming at him? Remember, Oscar always fades in the second half of the fight.
He said in an interview about a month ago that he has just discovered that staying relaxed is the key to making it 12. How is he going to stay relaxed in this fight?

Don't worry about it bro,I notice it is common around these parts! Ask Wacko! I really want Mayorga to win but I feel Oscar will have enough left in the tank to win,but if Mayorga can work on his stamina and keep that relentlessness going for more than 3-4 rounds, hen I think he has a better chance of winning. I just hope he does not come out swinging for the first 3 and then loses the rest!

Once he gets hurt he will probably run, hold, and try and land pitter patt punches at the end of rounds. Pretty macho eh? You remember like how he fought B-hop, but I doubt he will be THAT cautious and much of a pussy.
Why is everything about being Macho to you Hulk.. You like big strong macho guys huh ::** to bad this is boxing and that's how Oscar is going to win this one... It doesn't matter who is a tougher guy, it might on the street.. Im sure Mayorga would kill Oscar in a barfight.. but he will lose on may 6. And who cares how DLH fought Hopkins... How would Mayorga do against B hop? Stick his chin out and become a punching bag before the ref mercifully stops the fight by round 4... Oscar did what he could against Bhop he was just too small, .... Kind of like Mayorga did what he could against Tito he just isn't in the same league, except at least the way Oscar fought Hopkins he gave himself a chance to win rounds, a concept apparently lost to Mayorga aginst trinidad, I mean what the hell was that fool doing. He doesn't even know what to do against a great fighter, you'll see.

Re: Who's got money on Mayorga?
betting on Mayorga is like giving your money away. He is not in Oscar's head he did however get under his skin, but look at what happened to the last guy that did that. It was vargas.

true but Vargas wasn't far from taking ODLH out early on, Oscar said it himself that he thought early on Vargas was going to be to much, not the most positive thoughts!
some might say the thoughts of a quitter :-X

yes, but the better boxer won. The same will happen on may 6th because this is boxing. and Mayorga will be outboxed/outclassed by Oscar.
Re: Who's got money on Mayorga?
Skill for skill Delahoya thrashes him. The only ways he looses are if he brawls or if he's shot (mentally or physically). It's a pain in the arse always hearing Delahoya described as lacking heart by FANS (not peers). He's been in the ring hundreds of times pro and amature and won some tough fights against hard men. I supported Trinidad in their fight and I'm not in the Delahoya fanclub.
Mayorga's stamina isn't necessarily a weakness but his intensity does seem to drop from the middle rounds (Forrest 2, Pirricillo). If Delahoya survives rd 5 he'll have an easy UD.
Re: Who's got money on Mayorga?
I don't have money on either fighter. Too many variables, too close to call. If I was forced to pick, my money would be on Oscar for a UD.
Re: Who's got money on Mayorga?
pls guys, put your money on ODH
Mayorga will not win

Im tired of everybody givin Mayorga NO CHANCE. Or a "Punchers Chance", which in my book is the same as NO CHANCE. He is the champion, he KO'd Vernon Forrest. He is a warrior. Give the man some respect. He can and will win this fight, it's the fight of his life.

The last time he fought before that was another 10 months prior when he got his face smashed in by tito... So what advantage does Mayorga really have here?? He has been completely inactive as well, and isn't even a proffessional boxer to begin with.. if DLH has been training hard then there is no way Mayorga even has a chance, after all... He has no talent, no skills, no trainer, no good sparring partners, no idea how to train, no idea how to box, he smokes, he drinks, it's just too easy for Oscar..
Ha Ha Ha Ha .....that is exactly why Mayorga will drop this Fool.....

I know Mayorga is a good fighter man, whatever the result it will be a great fight

Remember that fight? Whenever Vargas was aggressive he won the round. It was when he stood back and waited for Oscar that he lost the round.
Re: Who's got money on Mayorga?
DLH wins a UD by a wide margin.

you where saying?
Re: Who's got money on Mayorga?
I said it before and there was the proof tonight, Oscar way too good for Mayorga he is and always will be better then Trinidad and PBF. When facing the same competition Oscar has finished them off first, and by that I mean in less time, with the exception of B-hop of course. And who was saying Oscar did not hit as hard as Trinidad? could you imagine what would had happened if he dropped his hands for Oscar like he did for Tito? I think he would be waking up now.
Re: Who's got money on Mayorga?
this seems suspicious.
Mayorga won the championship a year ago, never defended it, Vargas 'suspiciously' bows out of a fight with him. I wonder if Don and DLH set this up to be Oscar's title shot to look spectacular in ???
I'll be skeptical till I see this fight on the replay. Need to know if DLH looked spectacular because of Mayorga's style, or if he looked spectacular because he truly still is.

did Oscar really knock him out? Or was it like the Vargas fight?

Like Vargas destoyed him for getting under his skin, and even dropped him in the first round. I bet mayorga realized he f*##*# up when he hit the canvas. and no Oscar Looked great because he is.
