Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds: De La Hoya vs Mayorga
Mayorga is in ODH's head for sure, that is why Dela Hoya will fight Mayorga inside...
He is going to win in brutal fashion.

ODH has been around long enough not to let Mayorga's punk a$$ tactics affect the way he is going to fight him. If Oscar tries to fight him inside from the start it is going to be a long night for the golden one. But it would make for a much more exciting fight for us fans.

you're probably right, but ODH sure as hell won't do a stunt like the Tito fight where he runs away the whole match...
ODH said himself that he wants to fight with Mayorga....ODH ko 9

Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds: De La Hoya vs Mayorga
Mayorga will win IMO, is Oscar is anything less than 80% of the guy who beat Vargas. I too have somewhat of a liking for mayorga, he's a dick but is extremely crazy, sick, unpredictable funny, and he's the polar opposite of ODLH, who I find extremely irritating. You can't take your eyes off mayorga.
'Give me my respect, bitch!'
'This isn't a movie, your not gonna sing like a fag'
PS CC wacko!

Everyone has an off night or two...but he looked totally ineffective at certain points...not that Freitas didn't either...but I took that fight pretty lightly as I don't think that either fighter's gonna make any waives across the lake.
At times Raheem looked to be the busier fighter but he wasnt as effective.
Freitas won...period. It wasn't a land slide...it wasn't even worth watching. It was about as much fun as a fwockin Augustus fight...which you know I aint into alla that either.
By the way...weren't you leaving this forum forever because another one of your favorites was wronged & boxing had yet again gone down the crapper?

There won;t be. I wont stick around to see Oscar De La Hoya vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. It's a pointless fight.

It won't be pointless if its for the WBC Light middleweight championship of the world. If oscar loses to mayorga ( I think he will get KTFO) THEN its useless.

i think oscar will show his age in this fight and is anyway beyond his best....i really have no interest or expectations in DLH: PBF....
-
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds: De La Hoya vs Mayorga
So you'd rather see DLH vs. Mayweather instead of Margarito getting his shot?
-
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds: De La Hoya vs Mayorga
I'd much rather Floyd faught Hatton! or Margarito, but I'm not saying i wouldn't watch/buy PBF v ODLH if it was for the championship!

Apart from the training casmp part, you have no real facts, how do you know he is in Oscars head, you just belive that, you dont KNOW it for a fact...
Because he said it on HBO countdown.

On the countdown...he didn't exactly say word for word that he had gotten under his skin...but he has said that Mayorga finally got under his skin:
"All this anger and hatred towards me started when we started shooting the commercial for the fight. You know he started talking to my face and this and that, and in a press conference he slapped me across the head. I mean, you know, you don't do things like that. Show some respect here, and so that's why I just keep on mentioning, hey this guy is pumping me up so much. This guy is just; I mean he has just got under my skin. He hasn't got into my head, but he's got under my skin, and he made me train as hard as I can to really teach him a lesson."

Wacko I am happy to see that you and Oscar are dating and so happy together. If I am wrong correct me, at least if he asked you out on a date you would except. I have never seen so much ass kissing in my life, do you have rug burns on your knees. You describe Oscar as an unbeatable archangel who god sent to earth to save the sport of boxing from the son of Satan who is Ricardo Mayorga and he will save the sport and the future generation from the beast. All of Oscar De La Hoya's mega fights have ended in controversy with the exception of Vargas. You give credit for him being a smaller fighter when he fought Hopkins justifying his knockout, but yet you will not give Trinidad justification for he loss against Hopkins at all even though he was a smaller fighter. You are bias and bias leads to bad decisions and bad predictions, get ready for this knockout tomorrow, but don't worry after Mayorga wins demons won't emerge from the ground and start roaming earth, heaven will not fall, and it won't be the end of the world.

No I don't have rug burns on my knees...but you do seem to know a great deal about such matters as you have plainly explained the situation for us all to understand.

I have a gut feeling this fight will end in the early rounds by Ko, Mayorga with a brutal ko. Like Saddo said, Oscar is ripe for the picking.
-
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds: De La Hoya vs Mayorga
Oscar's still got enough in the tank for Mayorga.
Oscar late rounds TKO...or maybe UD.
-
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds: De La Hoya vs Mayorga
Rodel Mayol lost to WBC Strawweight Champ Eagle Kyowa by UD in Tokyo, Japan.
117-110 114-113 115-112
Tough close fight to call. Home fighter wins!

Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds: De La Hoya vs Mayorga
DLH by UD. I'd bet money on it.
-
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds: De La Hoya vs Mayorga
Why would anyone want De la hoya to win? Him winning doesn't move boxing forward at all. De La Hoya Mayweather wouldn't move boxing forward at all.

Your are correct this is a place to argue your points, but we should argue these points in a realistic manner. I do have favorite fighters of the present and the past (Pernell Whitaker, Tito Trinidad, Terry Norris) but these people are boxers and boxing is a sport and it should be viewed in a non biased way. I also have fighters that I have hated (De La Hoya, Lennox Lewis). De La Hoya is the type of person who thinks that life owes him something, and the reason he believes that is because so many people pump his head up. Now we are on this great web site giving our views and anybody who has anything close to a compliment for Mayorga you immediately expell their opinion and begin to brag about Oscar. I understand if you don't like Mayorga or even hate him, but at least give him the benefit of the doubt of being a very strong fighter (Not very skilled) and a great chin, also a heart the size of his native country (Nicaragua). Oscar has had this star power since he won his gold medal. The biggest PPV non heavyweight in the world people seem to flock to him (such as you) and pass up on fighters with better skills (Winky Wright, PBF, Mosley before the headbutt) and they don't have that same kind of star power. Let me know with that star power does, it allows for De La Hoya to win disputed decisions such as against Pernell Whitaker who clearly outboxed him, Quartey, and Sturm. Not only did he win these fights but some of the judges scorecards were so unrealistic. Vote for who you want to because that is what sports is all about, be a Larry Merchant not a George Foreman

What does any of that have to do with me dating Oscar?
Also you don't know jack about me nor do you know enough to base any type of opinion or pass judgement on me...so do us a favor...if you don't have anything constructive to say...if you don't know anything about me...then don't say anything at all.
Floyd Mayweather jr, Winky Wright, Felix Sturm, & Oscar all happen to be my favorite fighters...what's laughable is...I have argued endlessly with everyone on this forum about Sturm & his points & how he beat Oscar...then thing is...you don't even know that but you start shooting your mouth off. ::**
