When i see a fighter put hatton on his backfoot, I may agree with you, Until then
To much pressure, and way to much Jailhouse tactics...he will not loose...

Hatton can march forward all he wants he wouldn't have hit Sharmba. hatton relies on his left hook too much and not his straight right hand. Mitchell would have beaten Ricky then as well :)
i disagree. hatton won in a closer than expected bout.Quote:

there was something lacking in hatton, he can be much better than that...
In all fairness i think Hatton would of been better off continuing his carrer at 140. I think the only reason Hatton is at 147 is Mayweather.
The sooner he gets that fight, what ever the result, the sooner Hatton fucks off back to 140 because Hatton looked "out of sorts last night" and its something that i always knew would happen.
Hatton just isnt Hatton at 147 :-\
Im still a Hatton fan though, brin gon Mayweather ;D
i agree something was missing from rickys preformance last night. he usually programs his attacks. this was one big guy he was facing last night. a genuine welterweight who would have had ricky out of there if he had more punching power. however i do think he won the fight. his earlier work was the difference. if he fought mayweather again a totally different fight. say what u want about mayweather he aint a genuine welterweight. its funny cos had this been any other fighter he would be admired for the grit he showed in 12th round. STRANGE EH!!!!
Strange? Nah just Fickle, as usual ;D
Sharmba Mitchell couldn't live with Hatton at any time, he couldn't live with Tszyu and we all saw what Hatton did to Tszyu.
Mitchell is a has been trying to resurrect his career.
He's gone.
Mayweather doesn't want to know about Ricky hatton, there is too much hard work for his pretty face to cope with.
Hatton is like a Tyson at 140 and Mayweather is still a 140 fighter in my book.
I don't care how many old fighters he knocks over, Gatti, ODLH, who ever, none of them will put the questions to him that Ricky Hatton could and would.
had mayweather come through a fight like that everyone would be kissing his royal behind now
Cool click for you buddy :coolclick:, thats a very good call.Quote:

i think ricky just nicked it by about a round
that will be a good wake up call for ricky, it definately wasnt the best ricky hatton in there last night. but he got the win and thats one more step to mayweather.
While I'll agree that at this stage Hatton would probably beat Sharmba, the rest of what you said is fukin nonsense. Hatton is a Tyson at 140? Really? Well at 147 he sure is hell ain't. Or if he is, that must make Collazo Buster Douglas. I cannot believe some of you guys, actually believing Hatton one that fight, he had his head bounced around almost as many times as Prince Naz against Barrera. He was out on his feet in the last round. :oQuote:

Tyson had trouble with rangey boxers....does Ricky? Tyson was in trouble when he got tied up on the inside....does Ricky???
But they OBVIOUSLY aren't alike right?
Is everybody fuckin nuts on this forum? Yeah, Hatton had a tougher than alot of people expected, and Hatton fought a naturally bigger, possible stronger man than himself, and yes, he was hurt in the 12th rd, but he was'nt flailling around the ring, and he still won!!! Hatton never stopped pressing the action or the fight, so all the Hatton-haters need to go somewhere!!! Hatton took on a full-fledged welterweight, you could see the difference in there bodies, Collazo had a much bigger frame thru his back and shoulders, and this was his first venture into 147ibs, once his body adapts to 147ibs he'll be even more dangerous and even better equipt to handle true welters. Like Hatton said even Floyd did'nt take a champion in his first time at 147ibs, he fought a blow up lightweight-jr welter at that(Mitchell). Then Floyd took the title from a true jr welterweight(Judah), and to all the people on this forum saying that Floyd and Zab are better punchers than Collazo, ..I don't think so, Hatton would go right thru Judah, Floyd would pose a problem, but its not a sure thing for Floyd. So give credit where credit is do! And Hatton has bigger fish to fry then giving Collazo a rematch, it's not like Collazo was a long term champion anyway.
No, just a bunch of Hatton fans still trying to hold onto some hope like Hatton has a chance against a Judah or Floyd.
The same way that they held on to Trinidad to beat Wright after his performance against Hopkins ;D
Well I don't think anyone needs to worry about Zab for a year so with PBF nah Hatton doesn't need to fight him until he's his normal self at 147
Then Hatton has to take the Collazo rematch
And whoop him so i can come on these boards and make fun of youQuote:

Ricky Hatton is not a easy man to beat
I knew Collazo was skilled and I been talking of Hatton's flaws that Collazo exposed.
But don't you find it uneasy that those flaws that were there 5 years ago are still there today? Shouldn't those have been taken care of?
he gave up 3 inches in height and it was 22 in to 20 in in arm length....are you adding it all together?......get off the southpaw track how many fights has Hatton had.....amateur and pro? did he not have left handed sparring partners? i know he's in britain but the could have gotten some decent lefties here in the US.......Quote:

And as to star's question, i seriously doubt Hatton will ever change....sure he could polish up abit, more headmovement, hands higher etc etc. But that fighting style is in his grain, he will always have a problem with slick boxers.
But if he beats Floyd Mayweather, i would probably be the happiest man in the world ;D
And once Floyd demolishes him?
i STILL think the site would be a HUGE factor. The fight against Collazo, with the ref doing a good job of separating them after long clinches and admonishing the fighters for mauling tactics, put Hatton at a DEFINITE disadvantage. But if Hatton-PBF happened in the UK with the same ref that did the Tszyu fight, PBF might be hard-pressed to keep Hatton off of him.

Im proud of the fact that I thought Hatton wouldnt make it to the last bell when Collazo had that good half minute in the last but Ricky did come on the stronger after that very bad patch to make the last minute a fight.Quote:

The same way you are holding on to zab beaten somebody.....anybody for that matter, just for the record Hatton would swarm Judah and zab would eventually get nailed and the fight would be over.Quote:
