Froch is a good fight for Anthony Mundine. Two obnoxious shit talkers in the ring. Mundine would handle Froch easily IMO. He' d pile the points up with Froch's hands down defence and Froch wouldn't be quick enough to tag him. The victory would solidify his ranking in other organizations until he waits for Kessler to recover.
Part of what makes the great ones great is that they can make it look so easy. My favorite boxer Pernell Whitaker made Julio Cesar Chavez look very beatable and made it look very easy, but it wasn't.Quote:

Enjoy!!! 8)
The thing about Lacy is this...he stepped up higher than anyone has in the last ten years...atleast that I know of...in that young of a career.
Look at most up & comers records...they don't fight the best...& I MEAN THE BEST of their weight within 20 some odd fights.
That racist piece of trash Royal or whatever name he's going by above azumir or whatever will disagree...but check facts...Lacy stepped up & he stepped up too fast.
Lacy will still be a force & it's nothing short of stupid to say that he's done.
His opposition before his loss to Calzaghe was a lot more impressive than...saaaaaaaaaay...Kessler.
Hell...check anyone's first 25 fights @ 160 to 168...it don't read anywhere close to Lacy's.
Denmark doesn't get a sporting hero that often and those ones are probably in sports like curling and snow shoe racing. It's not Kessler's fault that these morons are salivating over him. He seems to conduct himself well in the interviews and publicity I've seen and would have a good chance of beating Lacy IMO.
His china and workrate are the issues in a Lacy fight as his best prformances haven't been against punchers or high volume throwers like Lacy. He's more fundamentally correct than Lacy and will catch him coming in. He's also probably a bigger puncher than Calzaghe (not that I think he'd beat him)
Kessler should fight Froch and the winner fight a tune-up against fight Yusef Mack. by that time Calzaghe would have retired and Allan Green will be a top contender and they can fight each other with Lacy somewhere in between. The beating Calzaghe gave him will either ruin him or make him greater.
I don't think Froch belongs with the better American super middles who themselves are probably a step below Kessler let alone Calzaghe. He fights like a slow motion RJ. He hasn't got the reflexes to avoid punches and with his hands down he gets hit a lot. His power is above average but not awesome. He's not quickfooted or that fast with his hands. A good boxer will shut him out and a boxer who punches hard will stop him. Dale Westerman made him look ordinary for several rounds before he gassed out and Dale is 36 and has never been of international caliber. Froch's days are numbered.
I don't really like Froch, but I do know that he wants to fight Calzaghe big time! Any chance of the fight coming off? I think Froch is not versatile enought,I mean he believes in his power but if it does not work? I don't think he has a plan B and I agree with whoever said it,I think he could be easily outboxed.
There are not a lot of people calling Calzaghe out are there ?
I think on that level, regardless of the probable outcome, Froch needs to be given some credit for his balls in not only calling out the main man - but also adding that his old man is 'steptoe' and that he would 'smoke calzghe's boots' - Froch is certainly game and entertaining regardless whether you love him or hate him ! http://smilies.vidahost.com/contrib/blackeye/hihi.gif
With regards the fight, he had confirmation that he broke his right thumb quite nastily the morning after the fight. So he fought through the pain-barrier, got the KO and the W without complaint.

I agree with you when you say froch has balls for calling out calzaghe, but IMO froch would get killed against joe. I have watched froch several times and he hasnt really convinced me that he is ready to step up and fight with the big boys yet. He gets hit an awful lot as shown against westerman and magee and for me calzaghe would easily beat froch. O and for arguements sake i am english and i am slaging off one of "our" own ;)Quote:

Froch has improved but its only ever enough to edge his current level of opposition. If he continues to improve he can do more but he still won't beat Kessler, Lacy or Calzaghe. They will murder him. There are even prospects out there like Bute who are much better in terms of talent and skill.
