Em needs to nail the conditioning and the tactics,GO TO PACS BODY!! That would slow him down and remember,he has lost by stoppage to bodyshots before!EM also needs to wear the Reyes gloves,if he can shake Pac with the pillows.he can hurt with him with the smaller gloves!!
Go to PACS BODY Pacmans body is harder than your head dude thats a stupid thing to do and yeah they should use the smaller gloves coz pacmans punch is sweeter on it better ask your "FAVE BOXER" if its true or not!!! O0
I was just saying HOW Em could win the next fight. He has stopped PAC in his trakcs on numerous occasions in the first and second fight,so if he wears the smaller gloves,Manny will fell his power more and I think you forgotten when Manny was koed to the body and do you forget so easily that EM beat the crap out of Manny the first time around>?A prime Erik Morales would sweep Manny aside,he is fighting a faded EM,remember that.

fyi erik cannot wear the reyes gloves cos of his brittle hands. he tried training with them for the second fight with pacquiao but decided not to use them for the fight cos he would risk breaking his hands.

But manny didn't kissed the canvass on their first fight even he's suffering from a cut on his eye he's a one eyed fighter on that fight but look he still manages to fight back if manny just used the reyes gloves on that fight i'm sure he knocked down Erick that time already!! ;D

Manny was just a skinny kid when he sufferd that knocked down when he was hit at the body fyi but there's no way now you can do that to him again...
And on their first fight Manny sufferd a bad cut on his eye he's a one eyed fighter but he still manages to fight back and he never kiss the canvass so he's surely one tough fighter!!! And if Manny already used the reyes gloves on their first fight of Moralles i'm sure he knocked Moralles down already!!! :dontknow:

Re: Erik Morales focused on conditioning.
sorry, i don't see morales having a chance here. he should have retired after the last fight. pacquiao TKO 6 or 7.
and pacman STILL hasn't hit his prime, so all this "but EM would kill him prime for prime" is a joke. erik was a great "warrior," but was never great technically, and was never as devastating a puncher (or as tenacious) as pacman. i know that a lot of people love him for his heart, and he has had a great career, but he's getting seriously overhyped on this thread. and he's going to get seriously beaten down in this fight.

Morales at his prime was P4P number top 3 easily. He could box,go to war and I suggest you look at his KO record, there was a time when it was impressive. I also suggest you check out his resume and see who he has beaten...there are very few active fighters with such an impressive list.
Yeah,KK,I know he can't wear the Reyes gloves but I think that if he is to hurt Pac and if this is his final farewell, then he should risk it.

he KOed bantamweights, where he is too big (until now he is too big for 130, cuz he has trouble making the limit.. i think if he will bulk up with muscles he shud be at 140-147 considering his frame)
the only fight where he scored a KO was against guty espadas jr. (TKO4)
(the fight with jesus chavez was stopped because of a hand injury)
dude EM is no wear near pacs power P4P...
-
Re: Erik Morales focused on conditioning.
The Jesus Chavez fight wasn't stop. Chavez fought him competitively with one arm.
-
Re: Erik Morales focused on conditioning.
Neither did I say that EM hits harder than Pacquio p4p nor was the Jesus fight stopped because of an injury. ::** ??? ;) Also,EM damaged his hand badly against Jesus too,and still knocked Jesus down twice if I recall correctly.

Yeah good points Bro,Manny was alot younger but still,Erik needs to change his tactics. And of course Manny is tough, incredibly so,I never once questioned that.

First, Manny (still approaching his prime) is P4P top 3 easily now, so even if this were true it wouldn't make your point that "a prime EM would easily sweep away pacman." Second, RJJ, B-Hop, James Toney and Barrera (and arguably Holyfield) were all better than EM during EM's prime.

C'mon Mr. Game, I've been reading this 'prime' thing ever since I've came here last January; and besides there's no way of proving it anyway. Well, on second thought, I won't blame you coz I'd probably be saying the same think when my idol Pac gets clobbered some day, but I hope he'd retire before that.
-
Re: Erik Morales focused on conditioning.
Seriously, I think conditioning is not the only thing Morales should be worrying about. Boxing experts and press had been hyping Larios' unbeatable conditioning and stamina, and Larios himself said if he can get Pac in the later rounds, he'll win and from the looks of it (after reviewing the video) he probably believed it because he came charging forward and forward on the tenth up to the early eleventh and then gave up. Pacman just toyed around with him all the while - Larios just didn't have anymore energy by that time. Simply put, Pacman outlasted a guy known for super condition and stamina.

Pacfan,I'm adressing you here too bro,I believe EM to be superior in his prime simply because he could do it all.Fron foot, back foot, counter, good defence EVERYTHIng.Manny may be getting better but imo Erik was by far and away the more complete fighter in his prime. You make a valid point,Pac may still be reaching his prime(or he may have peaked). I never wrote sweep away Pacman either so why that is quoted........

My bad,I seriously do not remember writing that! Someone must have edited my post!! ;D Hey,even the best amongst can be wrong at times!! :-[

Re: Erik Morales focused on conditioning.
No problem, LOL. At least the best of us can admit it too--unlike at least one notorious poster here. Hey--I'm not an Erik fan, but he's definitely legendary and he's been in some great fights, and i really hope this is another one; I just don't know if he's got it left in him, and I don't think he'd pull it off anyway. Anyway, have a CC on me.

Who's the notorius poster you are referring to bro? Thanks man and you are right,it would be a miracle if EM won but obviously I am going to defend a guy who made me a boxing fan in the first place.(And lest we forget, overall, his career is better than Pacman's ;D).Have a cc on me too!!

Who's the notorius poster you are referring to bro?
Here's a hint: this poster has a name that starts with "st" and ends with "rr", and has a penis.

Re: Erik Morales focused on conditioning.
Ok to end this forum they're both great boxers (Manny and Erik) thats why they're fighting for that belt
whoever wins on November 18 2006 he's the greater one among the two of them but i'm sure the first name i mentioned a while ago is the greater one :lolololol: peace out!!!! :sneaky:
-
Re: Erik Morales focused on conditioning.
There both great fighters but it looks like all the wars Morales has had are finally cathing up with him. Pacquiao will do the same thing again.

Sure did and it was a beautiful uppercut that did it, but Jesus did catch Morales good early. But I think that people that say Morales is going to win are expecting a prime Morales to show up. I would love to see that Morales come back its the morales that has the greatest chance at beating Pacquiao, but the one dimentional Morales that fought Raheem and Pacquiao the second time is headed for another loss. And I hate to see it happen to such a good fighter. But I sat through all three Jones Tarvers, and I sat through Ouma Karmazin, I guess I can sit through this :'(

Re: Erik Morales focused on conditioning.
As great as Morales is, he won't be able to beat Pacquiao this time, to many wars have taken there toll. A prime Morales sure but not know

Thanx pal for the nice, civilized chat. Got your point but it's hard for me to swallow the 'by far and away' part, did you really mean it?
If you did, wow! you're a true, full-blooded Erik fan, and I wish I can be like you when it comes to Pac; just haven't got the courage to declare that Pac is by far and away the best, maybe just a simple "best" (and already I can sense howls of protest here!).

Re: Erik Morales focused on conditioning.
Pacfan bro, honestly,Erik was a joy to watch and always will be. He ruined himself slightly by engaging in too many wars but I honestly feel,a younger, well prepared EM beats Pac. He was juat more complete for me and when he was younger,he could go to war and outbox you! And there is nothing wrong with that, right now,Pac is STRONGLY claiming a position as P4P number 1.I respect him ALOT and think he is incredibly exciting to watch, but EM always has been and will be my fave.

Got your point, pal, and although I may not agree with you, I will not question your sincerity in your belief. But still, the 'by far and away' part is just too much for us Pac fan(atics), can't you just make it a simple 'he was better' instead? - naw, just kiddin'.

I would have to say that this is a pretty accurate assessment IMO.....to many wars.....
