He's more relentless than JLC,who in my and most people's opinions beat Floyd the first time. Margarito already stated that he'll break Floyd's body down, that is something NONE of his other opponents have even thought of doing, going to the body and along with all the above factors mentioned, makes me believe that he will give Floyd a great fight...far far better than anyone Floyd has fought since JLC and better than anyone else at 147 by a long long way.
Well if he EVER fights at least 1 REPUTABLE fighter then I'll buy into it

Maybe Floyd should stop running his mouth about business deals because he looks foolish turning down $8million and fighting anyone else for less. Where is the business sense there?(I actually aimed the original post at JTrock ;D)
Listen man you do a lot of Floyd hating dont you!!!!!! I mean C'mon dude you are smart enough to know that its a business 1st before they get in the ring......You know just as much as me when it equates to whtas going on behind closed doors which is NOTHING!!!!!!
Here is the Facts Tony Hasnt done SHIT against anyone!!!
Floyd is the #1 pound for pound fighter in the world that my friend is universally recognized by various sports writers and Boxing analystis you know people who get paid to write about boxing not forum goers like BOTH OF US
Here are some more interesting FACTS FLoyd has beat better competition than Margarito so has Zab Judah , Cory Spinks , Sharmba Mitchell and even Arturo Gatti..
But back to my point all this shit on the net is all heresay and rumors WE dont know whats really going on PERIOD!!!

I hope it's wrong too bro,but Manny Steward does not sound like the type of person to BS about fights being made and I guess he really wants this one made, seems as if he has been waiting a long time. Maaan, how will Tony feel if PBF fights the guy ke KTFO(Cintron!maybe he should have lost!)or the guy he sparred and probably beat up(Baldomir, and I posted the article myself about that, months and months ago,Carlos stating Margarito was very very powerful and he would not fight him)

Depending on Floyd's next fight,I'll bet 1,000000 cc's that most will not have him at P4P number 1 and if Pac beats EM third time around, hardly anyone will especially if he fights Cintron.Second, like I keep stating,I don't hate on Floyd,I just want to see him fight the most dangerous fighters to prove he is the best and third $8million is a fact,it's been stated by Arum, everyone etc, there was an arena lined up etc etc
And if you want to take your view,I can just flip it around and say,oh its all BS,no one offered Floyd $20mill for Oscar,it was just hype/reasons not to fight Tony,we don't know what's happening,he's ducking etc etc.

well........boxingtalk.com reported that floyds decision would come next week sometime, so that rules out baldomir since hes fighting later this month (thank god)
i would hate to see either of those happen, but if i had to choose 1 it would be baldomir (at least then floyds unifying)
if he does fight kermit though, i will be very disappointed
but i think its gonna be spinks, then maybe tony can come up to 154 (probably a better weight for him) after doing a little clean up and making a name for himself at 147 and challenge floyd for the belts there
the spinks fight makes too much sense for floyd when you take everything into consideration (his dream, belts, the epic unification with oscar next year) and to tell you the truth, its a solid opponent and a pretty safe fight for floyd at the same time

Like I have been saying name me an opponent that Margarito has fought that was worth a damn???
How does that get him a shot at Floyd???? No one can intelligently answer that question for me they just start ranting about how they think Tony will do this and Tony will do that and if Tony traps him on the ropes OH!!!!and Watch him work on Floyds body blah blah blah OK again who in the Hell did he do that against that was of any signifigance???? Dont strain yourself I got this one for you..NO ONE WORTH A GOOD GODDAMN!!!!!!!!!

As much a Margarito fan as I am he has never beaten anyone the caliber of Karmazin and didn't have success at 154 in his first fight up. I think that Spinks and Margarito should fight each other. You agree with that game?
-
Re: PBF's mystery opponent for November is...
Spinks definatley makes the most sense and no it would not be a walk in the park for Floyd. At 154 I think Spinks would be a live underdog ;)
I hope Gatti beats Baldomir so i can finally give in to the Floydmania.

No. That's what boxrec says but it hasn't been reported anywhere else.

I wouldn't doubt it. Margarito's record is full of bums like Rivera. If you go by numbers alone, Margarito is actually stepping up. Gomez had 10 losses, Rivera only has 9. It's a start, I guess.

As a Margarito fan I would say what about Kermit Cintron who was undefeated. But as a boxing fan I say who was Kermit Cintron to begin with. I hate to admit it but I will be disappointed if he fights Rivera I wanted him to fight Sharmba Mitchell! Doesn't matter how far gone he is he's better opponent then Rivera and if Tony by some way loses whats it going to say about all this hype.

The same joint that reported Mayweather vs Cintron, right?
Maybe they're trying to make a smokescreen for Mayweather vs Margarito. ;D

Re: PBF's mystery opponent for November is...
and maybe the undercard will be Cintron vs. Rivera
-
Re: PBF's mystery opponent for November is...
Spinks is proberly the best move, easy fight for Floyd & a good way to move up to another divsion. But Margarito will proberly be next. DLH is the fight I really wanna see.

;D ;D ;D Naaa,Margarito's camp has stated,Carlos Quintana is the next target and THAT would be a respectable fight,a hard fight against a southpaw slickster.

Jose Antonio Rivera
Kermit Cintron
Paul Williams or

Tszyu would KO mayweather just like he did Judah. Would be simalar fight IMO although mayweather may make it to round 3-4.
Once he gets tagged he'll be doing the chicken dance - just like judah. His chin isnt good enough and he will get caught, even though kosta is apparently 'a washed up fighter'

C'mon guys. Are we playing fantasy boxing here? Let's look at some of the suggestions:
Jose Antonio Rivera -- would be a good 'step-up' challenge for PBF, and I think Floyd beats him, but he is not going to take that challenge. Rivera just knocked down the heavier champion 5x to take the title.
Kermit Cintron -- WHAT A JOKE! This would be the promoters fight, not the fan's fight. He doesn't belong in the ring with Mayweather.
Paul Williams --NO WAY! At 6'+, he is now being avoided by Margarito... GO FIGURE!!!
Luis Collazo--this, to me, would be the best fight. Collazo has something to prove, and really doesn't have enough power to KO PBF. Good brawl!
Maragrito --the common sense opponent. Let's see if PBF will actually step up at 147. He already gave up the IBF title, so I don't think he will fight at this weight.
Hatton--IMO, he lost his chance at Floyd by the way he fought Collazo. He looked horrible. If they did it, it would be a nationalist fight, but PBF dominates him and may stop Hatton.
Spinks--could this be why Don King gave Spinks free reign at his gym? Is this why he got a title shot at 154 even though he lost his last fight (just like Mayorga)? Looks like a perfect setup for ODLH next year...
Mosley--he won't take this fight. He wants to finish on top, not as a loser. And the pending PBF/ODLH fight in 2007 is too lucrative for him to go out and try to WIN against PBF. He will follow his promoter...
Great post!!!

Like the thought, but Tszyu has been out just long enough to be too slow for PBF. If Tszyu comes back, he will be shocked at how much he has lost from his inactivity. Did you forget he is a small fighter who is already 30+???
??? ??? ???

tszyu would get pummeled by floyd en route to a tko by 8
you think floyds gonna stand in front of him and take shots?? not to mention, tszyu isnt that big for 140, what happens when an old, slow, inactive tszyu tries to make a jump to welter to fight pbf?
seriously..... ::**

I would have to agree here. Fighting Tszyu would prove nothing, and I don't think Kostya has shown an interest in coming back. A prime Kostya would be a different story at 140,he was a master against boxers, they gave him time to think and we can see what he did to Zab, and Mitchell.

Ya thats a true unbiased analysis!!!! :dummespost: Yep Floyd has no chin....So you are comparing a focusing Lacking clowning around underachieveng dumbass like Zab Judah???
I guess we will just ignore the fact that Floyd is one of the premier defensive fighters of our generation

I think it would be a great fight guys ! Tszyu- Mayweather. I like the sound of it ! Tszyu would do better then you all realize ! kind of of a revenge match for Floyd for Tszyu kicking Rogers ass years ago! I like the hype all ready ! Make it happen promoters ! ..Darren get Kostya ready mate !

That’s what I am talking about Hairdoo! CC bro ! LOL !! I think Floyd gains nothing by fighting Margarito. Margarito needs to peel back and fight a few named guys to build up to a fight with Floyd. Now Kostya is always going to look good on your resume ! I think Tszyu would snatch that Mayweather a** personally ! but I must say, I am a big fan of Tszyu's ! Kostya is really good people, and I like to see really good people win titles and kick a** ! Nuff with these gangsta bitch dogs ! Know what I mean?

Re: PBF's mystery opponent for November is...
I think that Corrales is a much better fighter now than he was when they first fought he is much more seasoned than he was back then and Goosen has done a great job with him. Belive it or not I think it would be a pretty good fight if they did fight again, certainly much closer than the first one

I love watching Corrales fight don’t get me wrong, but he don't have the chin, for an accurate sharp shooter like Mayweather, and as many times as Chico went down in that first fight , there would be very little interest. I agree he would do better, cause he damn sure couldn’t do much worse ! Hope im not coming off like an asshole. Not intended brother ! Cool Click !
-
Re: PBF's mystery opponent for November is...
..Corrales just fights with the wrong mentality he should be a guy who keeps fighters at the end of his jab and cross and only use hooks and uppercuts when in close and while in close he really should tie the other guy up.
But oh well Joe Goosen is the mastermind behind him but those are just my 2 cents
