it's neither sweeping, generalist or bigoted. Lyle IS a right wing conservative who hates foreigners.Quote:

I don't hate foreigners...I dislike illegal immigrants but not ALL foreigners are illegal you socialist pig lady!
The Clinton administration was one of the most progressive and positive administrations of the 20th Century. Took care of a pitiful budget deficit, created lots of jobs and even got a little action in the Oval Office ;DQuote:

Clinton did ok but the main difference between him and W is that Bill was very personable, W is not. People would rather listen to blatent lies than a bumbling idiot....yeah that's what I said bumbling idiot.
Clinton did have his troubles though: White Water, the NUMEROUS sexual infidelities (which is why Hilary would be very dangerous to elect) , the "Wag the Dog" war in Bosnia, the failures in Somalia...except when he got in trouble he'd stop those things...W just keeps at it figuring "even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes"
I think you'll find the people in those countries did it themselves. They've done wonderfully from from capitalism, cheap beer and all their women work as whores.Quote:

If you would like to read some great text on poor administrations, I highly recommend 'On War' by the brilliant historian, Howard Zinn. That book will knock your sock off!

I guess they think we are so stupid nowadays that if we don't like a program we're watching or a game we're playing we aren't intelligent enough to take it back to the store. Parents need to get a little more involved in the lives of their children.
I don't know how you can make 50 bombs at home and carry an AK-47 and your mom doesn't know shit about it :dontknow:

C'mon Lyle. I think I know you better than that. It's going to take a lot more than an unwinnable war and 2 assinine political partiesQuote:

However, I do agree. Alternatives to the 2 party system have to come into 'serious play' very soon!

We really do need the rise of 1 or more new parties. It's about time. Also Bush better not get us into wars with N. Korea and Iran, or if he does he damn sure better not try to occupy them and rebuild them and all that nonsense. Too many young people are getting killed in Iraq every day as it is.
N. Korea and Iran are just posturing...they want to get better deals with the US as far as trade and if not anything else they just want more respect.
The War in Iraq is just a fault of us not sending enough troops, we all knew it was going to be easy to take the country but never thought about how hard it would be to hold the country together.
One thing I dislike about the US is that they boogeyman all of Europe and anywhere else people might want to visit I can't tell you how much I heard "The people in France will hate you because you are American" and "it's dirty over there" and "the women don't shave and no one showers".....uh BULLCRAP they were very nice and the people in Belgium are nice too. The women were goregeous and all shaved as far as I could tell, pretty much everyone showered but it was 90 degrees with no AC, of course people will smell. The main idea to get across is there are assholes everywhere but there are also nice people everywhere too.
Some people did, Lyle !! That's why we said that the current plan was flawed. :(Quote:

Regan and Thatcher, now that was a good team there !
Well let me rephrase thatQuote:

Also the tiny army thing was an ok idea but it needed to be tested somewhere smaller and less important than IRAQ...you mess with Islam and it's like spraying water on a hornets' nest! Those fuckers are crazy as hell
Those who fail to learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them.
Yeah that's fairly obvious....your point???Quote:

In WWII 2,000 soldiers wasn't bad to lose in YEARS it was a reality that they were losing thousands A MONTH, A DAY, or A BATTLE...look at D-Day, Battle of the Bulge, and so on...War ain't for the feint of heart...we need MORE soldiers there if any progress is going to be made. War isn't something you do half assed RUMSFELD!!!
You'd think it was fairly obvious, but the idiot US Govt didn't understand it, and they dragged our idiot lapdog governement into an unwinnable conflict.
Come on Lyle, you seem to think it's OK that we kill their civilians .... then you say that you are not in danger. The very fact that we do kill thir civilians is what puts us in danger from radicalised suicide bombers.
I'm disappointed that you think it'd OK to lose 2000 soldiers, obviously you have never served in an army or been anywhere near a front line or combat zone. That does cheapen your argument somewhat and make you come across as a bit of an armchair commentator who gets his opinions off CNN????
I think you view may change if you yourself were lying in a ditch being shelled, or on patrol in a 'Bombing Belt'
*Anyway, sorry Lyle - rant over*
CC. You earned it. Though Lyle makes some good points, and his smart ass response to your first post was amusing, I gotta agree with you. Way too many innocent Iraqi civilians have been murdered, and that is what really pisses off the terrorists, radicals etc. Also 1 soldier's life is significant, let alone 2,000. Initally the war in Iraq may have been necessary, but occupying them for this long and losing young men and women every day has just gotten to be senseless IMO. What the Hell are we doing over there ?!Quote:

Soldiers are people and they are important but it is their JOB to put their lives on the line..like if I was an accountant I would you know do taxes and shit, that would be my JOB that I got PAID FOR. Same with them, if they don't like it they shouldn't have signed up. I myself tried to but alas my asthma has kept me from serving (for the time being, I might just try again). I have friends in Iraq right now my cousin is.....well he's fine unless some suicide bomber is able to hold his breath really long. He's in a sub. Anyways yes I would feel awful if any of them got hurt or died but it's what they do they are soldiers.
What is it with you people and CNN do you know what CNN is called over here "The Communist News Network" it's not a good source of news.
And yeah it's ok that we kill their civilians because they choose to fight with Guerilla tactics and HIDE behind their own people who would not be killed if their "soldiers" if you can call them that, would stand up and fight although I can't blame them for not wanting to it would be over in a matter of minutes. Now the US gets busted on for doing this and that against the "Geneva Convention" but MY WHOLE DEAL IS: The terrorist/Islamo-Fascist/The Enemy don't wear uniforms, don't care about POW's, they do much more against the Geneva Convention than us but it's all the US we have to fight a level above them when in all actuality we could blast the fuck out of the whole region with 1 bomb.
I understand your points but we're over there now and to ensure that things don't get worse we need more troops over there...we needed more to begin with and if the Democrats ever figured out that if we had more troops over there we would be there for a much shorter period of time then I sure as hell would vote for them but the Democrats have no balls and that's why I won't vote for them
you got whuped in 'nam you'll get whuped in Iraq, you've not learnt a damn thing.
I think we The " U.S and Britain " are doing the right thing , Keep the war over there and don't let the terrorist 's country asses off the hook. It's already paying dividends . The Middle East has dangerous leaders , those people got to be dealt with . Listen to Iran's public statements.I mean you can't let that guy get any kind of weapons ! Are you crazy ? think about it ! We need to tap dance on his goofy ass before he gets any further along. ! ;) I also think every time we have to go Baby Sit one of these rogue nations, we use their oil to pay for the expenses ! ;)Quote:

Right now, WHUPPED....don't make me laugh Missy. We are hardly getting "whupped" We're at a point where the War for Iraq has been won a loooooooooong time ago the rebuilding has taken a long time due to lack of troops and liberal cunts who just oppose any war whatsoever. I'm sorry WE got attacked Missy, we'll try not to next time.
As for the Iraq 1) Deposing Saddam wasn't W's brain child it was BILL CLINTON...W was just stupid enough to go through with it 2) Yes it was WRONG to go there but we are there right now and if we "Want the world to be a better place" for all of Missy's socialist offspring we have to increase the # of troops there and stick with it because it might not mean much to you if we leave but poor little Achmed and Muhamed will be stuck there in the sectarian violence that we all know happens and will that be good? Will you feel better just because Bush and Blair will be wrong? Because they failed? That's all the leftist opposition is, if these leaders were Clinton and whoever is a favorite left winger in UK then everyone would be behind this war they wouldn't be happy about it but they would say "let's do it let's get it over with"
It bothers me that you think that way Missy...seeing how England is the frontline for home grown terrorists. Have that Anti-England Anti-US attitude all you want, I support my country and I want us to come out on top in this war, we need to. I don't like camels, the desert, and NOT eating pork or drinking alcohol.

If you do ever join, do what I would do, JOIN THE NAVY! Much lower risk of gettin killed, but you are still serving your country. NAVY would be the best IMO, there is a lot of cool shat to do on those huge ships, even take up boxing, and join the boxing team.Quote:
