Woodhouse takes it, it's his to lose now. 2-1 Woodhouse.
Final round. Nice left off the back foot. Antonio catches Woodhouse with a decent left. Massive left floors antonio. Woodhouse's first touch of class. 3 good lefts, third hook knocks antonio on his arse. less than a minute to go. Antonio desperate to finish now. Hanging on deperately. Looks to have weatherd the storm. Good right is the last punch. Seems to slip on sweat at the final bell. Nice start to a career. Looked good against Antonio, reasonable left hand. Wait and see on what comes his way before passing proper judgement.
LOL!!! This is the wonder of British boxing mate.....because there is a much smaller pool of fighters, even the lesser guys can get on the box!Quote:

I prefer Isaev's entrance music....even though Queen's We wWill Rock You has been a bit cliched since 1990 :p Mitchell looks comfortable. Isaev looking a little nervous. Good to see an east end boy doing alright, at least I guess that cause his corner's all in the West Ham colours.
Man, this audience must be a bloody nightmare...it's like Justin Timberlake walke on stage at a Napalm Death concert it's so quiet. Let's go.
Isaev tentative. Good combo gtom Mitchell. Nice left to the body. God jab from Mitchell. Isaev caught ocming forward with a short right straight. Good pair of left's by Isaev once he got inside, but Mitchell has to stay at distance. Six unanswered from Mitchell, he's showing the legs in this one so far. Nice left....mitchell is looking very handy, showing some proper vicious punching.
Mitchell takes it, 1-0 I reckon.
good first round for Mitchell.... needs to watchout for the haymakers ;)
evening all, im here dont worry
mitchell looking good, didnt see any of the other fights
strange seeing a young prospect on a frank warren cards opponent fighting back though ;)
Isaev showing intention at the start of the second....Miotchell catches him with two counter jabs though. Isaev ducks down a lot....another frustrating Eastern European fighter. A little marking on Isaev, looking very red faced. Good guard though, but Isaev has found very little except gloves. Nice left hook from chell. Good 5-puinch from Isaev, three good hits from Isaev.
Tight round, Mitchell may have edged this second, but Isaev is at least showing some more fight than the last eastern european
That ios a good left on Mitchell, Isaev with a good guard though. Biggst challenge of Mitchell's career so far, and it's good to see. Isaev is good on the inside, but Mitchell's jab puts him on the front foot. He might want to follow the jab up with more rights though. Isaev swinging a fair bit. Good right left to the body from Mitchell. I can see his reputation for a banger is well deserved.m but ISaev is trying to keep it on the inside. Not such a good guard from Mitchell, he caught a good few shots against the ropes.
Mitchell's early work may have edged it for him agian, but this one is really competitive, and i bet that audience are glad to get some proper entertainment.
Yeah good scrap...
Mitchell is wearing him down for my money as his punches carry the power ;)
Mitchell is certainly throwing more. Nice left uppercut from Mitchell, could have caught flush, but Isaev got it up towards the temple. Isaev is certinaly handy, andMitchell needs to keep it at a distance. Mitchell looks a little shell-shocked now there's punches coming back at him. Nice left hook from Mitchell, but Isaev caught him with a good right too. Nice left from Mitchell to finish.
I got him 2-0, with two tied rounds.
Nice left to the body from Isaev. This is a proper good tear up, but with boxing skills as well. Good right on the counter from Isaev. Good lefts from Isaev. Nice left counter again from Isaev though. Mitchell swinging and missing with a huge right. God combo by Mitchell out of the clinch though.
Mitchell edges it again. I got it 50 47 after 5, but I expect one of those two ties to go to Isaev on the cards....it's to be expected.
hes starting to take control, keeping his distance more, the other fella is still getting the hooks in at close range though
There are people with their backs turned to this one....flipping eejits. Mitchell stronger early in this round. Nice left right from Mitchell, catching Isaev in the chek with the right. Isaev looking to wrestle a bit, getting in with the shoulders and all. His strngth is certainly on the inside, but Mitchell is giving him less chances to get in. AS he tires in each round though, Isaev can get in. Nice flurry to end the round from Mitchell.
I got this one tied again, Isaev's countering is working for him, though I'm loath to give him a round yet, because he isn't throwing enough for me. Three rounds lead for Mitchell from my slab.
Nice start from Isaev. Mitchell caught by counters. Coming in with big punches, and aught on the way in. Isaev pushing a bit though. Good RLR combo from Isaev, he's looking better, and Mitchell's counter's aren't as good as Mitchell's. Isaev throwing some good rights, and tying up Mitchell when he gets his wind up. Good flurry from Isaev to finish.
He took that one for certain. I got Mitchell ahead by two now, and Mitchell is looking as if he's starting to tire.
More tnetative from both of them atthe start of this, is the frenetic pace starting to show?
Mitchell doing a bit more so far. Glove binding gives them both a breather. Isaev pushes forward. He's definitely taking the inside part of the fight. Mitchell caught wth a combo on the way in, this is definitely the fight of the night. Good RLR from Mitchell, he's working hard, not looking too fresh.
Mitchell probably took that one. It's still pretty tight though, no more than 2 or 3 round in it. The Belarusian Isaev lloks pretty decent.
Isaev caught with some short punches on the way in. Mitchell needs to keep thework up on to the body. Money in the bag as they say. In Fight Night 3. Mitchell's right jab and hook doing some damage, but Isaev comes forward. Isaev cut on the outside of the right eye. Blood streaming, and he doesn't llok too happy for the first time in 3 or 4 rounds. Mitchell finally seems to have rattledthe Belarusian. So the pendulum swings back to the Englishman. Round ends with a tear up with Mitchell's ack to the ropes. Isaev looks worried in the corner.
Mitchell's again.
Looks like another that will go the distance. Me and my predicitions clearly aint too special. Isaev coming out strongly though, pushing forward, wrestling, pushing, and using that right. Criticism of Mitchell's guard by Duke seems accurate, Isaev has made good work with the right. Mitchell starting to work on the outside again. His longer arcing shots are hurting Isaev, though many go to the arms and gloves. Nice left hook from Mitchell, Isaev could go. Isaev coming forward just looking to clinch.
Mitchell has got this one in the bag. No doubt, it'll take an Isaev KO i reckon. And that ain't seeming too liekly.
Mitchell starting strong again. Nice right left from Mitchell. Isaev wanting to hang on. Isaev's right eye lloks like a depe one, plenty of blood coming out. Right to the body from Mitchell, not too much back from Isaev, even on the inside. Mitchell hangs on, maybe a little tired. Ref's gone to the corner about the eye. It's been stopped on Isaev's cut 1.55 into the 11th. Mitchell can be well pleased, a good step up for him and the hardest test he's had so far.
didnt really look like the bad a cut.
good test though, y cant amir fight someone like tht ???
Mitchell moves to 21-0 giving Isaev his first defeat. He was taking the fight, but Isaev doesn't like the stoppage, reckons his vision was alright. Definitely the best fight of the three that was on tonight. Frank Warren reckons Mitchell did better as the fight went on. Official timing is 1.37 of the 11th, and Mitchell retains his IBF Inter-Continental title. Good job, and all of the headline fighter pull through.
The Hobson fight wasn't the best advert for the British Cruiserweight divison, but Woodhouse had a decent scrap, and Mitchell did well in a good step up in class for him. All goes to plan here!
Good question, though this is a Warren fighter, and it took him 20 fights for him to get some proper opposition. That means we got a fair bit to wait for Khan to get a challenge.Quote:

mind you he can always say his first loss was because of a cut rather than the UD that was coming so he may thank the ref one day ;)
good work again on the rbr mate 8)
Cheers mate. I can see that Wacko's art has been honed over many years. He must have fingers like lightining though, he can pack in a lot about every round. CC to everyone on the thread...I was really just checking this out to make sure I knew what I was taling about ;)Quote:

you did great mate ;)
Good job on the RBR. I usually miss out the experience.
I missed out on the second half of this one. I had to pick my g/f up from the market at 6pm (she works there) and she decided to do some grocery shopping without telling me in advance. She came out at 6:50 pm. :cwm23:
I didn't like Mitchell much but am starting to warm to him. His is still a bit too keen to out macho the other bloke at times but he is coming along nice. Good fight for him. He must be fed up to the back teeth of hearing Amir Khans name. He should have Frank sort out the interviewers before hand, he isn't going to be fighting Amir any time soon if at all so shut the fuck up about him.
When will there be results for the wayne Elcock fight? Should have been overwith by now, huh?
I realize that it's a different card than these two fights...
well it was over hours ago so not sure why theres no results in anywhere yet ???
