you talk about manny's head being snapped by EM
what about EM's body flying across the ring? :P
if you've watched the fight(im sure you did)
round 2!!! now thats power!
where have you been dude
what fight did you watch????
you are the moronic dickhead
whos tryin to make EM more of a loser
everybody knows he has a great chin thats why
its impossible to KO him in a single blow
but if youre gona insist that he also has the better power
then pac has the better chin and obviously the harder hitter
its all about who remained standing and who gets KTFO at the end of the fight
and its pac, cuz your main man EM cant KO a natural bantamweight
and gets KOed by a guy who started as a mini-flyweight
if its about one punch KOing power
you gotta go with pac
a-hole :'(

Theres no way in my mind that this fight ain't gonna be a cracker. This has fight of the year potential. Pacquiao will win by KO IMO, but its gonna be fireworks for as long as it goes!!!

how am i a hypocrite when i have given credit to both fighters on each of their victories, made no excuses for Morales when he lost to Pacquaio, especially by not saying that Pac-Man beat a completely shot Morales like others on here have said, i bash on Pacquiao facts, he has been KO'd 2 times by unknown fighters, so the theory of him being this invincible kingpin of the jr lightweight division is utter bullshit, all 3 Morales, Barrera and obviously Marquez can beat Pacquiao, he's one of the best in the division without a doubt and his power is amazing, but unlike it was at 126, at 130 he doesn't have that one punch that'll put you down and out, Morales lost by TKO due to being spent, and after taking many big shots mainly by his own choosing, he chose to slug it out from the get go instead of boxing and slugging like he did in the first match, which he didn't eek out by the way, both fighters have their advantages and neither is full of weaknesses, so nobody should be completely stomping out the other fighter to win, which is exactly what i said in previous posts

what you said arent facts but just opinions
and your opinions negates each other
its ironic that every aspect where you thought is a morales advantage
is an obvious disadvantage for us
he has a great chin indeed we all agree
but him havin better power is hypocrisy
strange the guy whom you said has less power and worse chin
is the one who just KOed someone and still standin
hey no one said pac is invincible
but if you insist the god damn fact that he was KOed by some bums way back
then you are nuts :P
do i have to repeat this again?
honestly do you believe manny is the 'pacman' in both of those fights were he lose?
hey had he went down against EM? i thought he has great power?
ohhh boy forget it >:mad i lose!!!

hmmmmmmmmmm all this talk makes me wish i had tickets to this fight. :-X

Re: Pacquiao/Morales III is going to be a stinker!
No way its gonna be a stinker...the variables alone keep this one more than interesting...
Even if there is a quick stoppage it sure as heck aint gonna make it a stinker...very few are predicting an early stoppage anyway....
An early stoppage would be a very surprising and therefore none stinkerly result...
Nothing like a bit of shock and awe...

Re: Pacquiao/Morales III is going to be a stinker!
Morales is so shot at this point in his career it isn't even funny. The only thing that is funny is all the Morales fanboys here that think he still has it in him...that part of him checked out long ago. He's just here to embarrass himself one last time and get one more big paycheck.
The guy couldn't even muster a descision win over Raheem. He didn't even deserve a second fight with Pac after that showing....but, there he was, thrown in by promoters to get his SHOT ASS kicked in the second fight anyway to cash in his name.
But now...a third fight? Please... this has to be the worst "superfight" of all time.
Morales is lucky, lucky, damn lucky if he can even get his shot ass to make weight and even get the chance to get his shot ass KTFO'd.

If PAC wins it's because he deserves it. Hes a young, strong fighter with great power.
If Erik loses there is nothing to be ashamed of, all it means is his time is up and to be honest even if he wins he needs to start thinking about retirement.
All in all this will be a great fight, regardless of the outcome.

Re: Pacquiao/Morales III is going to be a stinker!
If it's the worst super fight of all time, rather than fwocking complaining like a bitch, just don't watch thr fooking fight and leave it to us real fans to analyse and enjoy it! Some people.... ::** ??? >:mad

Re: Pacquiao/Morales III is going to be a stinker!
Oh my god! After seeing the weigh in pics of Morales I can't believe anyone can think this is really going to be a superfight. The guy looks like a warmed up corpse where Pac looks fight ready.
So sad to see a fighter like Morales get thrown to the dogs.
Even sadder are the people that will pay to see it and claim it will be a good fight!

The reason people think that is because Morales beat Pac stylistically in the first fight & was ahead on the cards up to the 7th in the 2nd fight. Had Morales been able to handle the weight & keep his stamina...the outcome might have been different but Pacquiao gained the upper hand when Morales's feet began to fail him & when Morales feet stop moving...he's fwocked.
Pacquiao Morales is still a compelling match up for the fans because of the what if factor. Morales was written off coming into the first fight...Pac was the underdog in the second fight...& now Morales is back to being on the low end of the totem pole.
It's not that hard to understand why everyone's excited...these two are both determined warriors & are what defines our sport.

bleech1 your trying to hard to be the one to predict the outcome of the fight...
If your right, this won't be the 1st time someone predicts the outcome of a fight...
But if your wrong people here won't let you live this one down... Myself included.
With that being said, I bet you'll still be watching the fight. ;)

Re: Pacquiao/Morales III is going to be a stinker!
There's one big difference though, looking thin and looking gaunt is two different things. There are lots of thin people who live longer than most, while being gaunt may be used to describe a person about to say goodbye. The last time he certainly looked gaunt or haggard with hollow eyes and dark ring around it and his shoulder stooping. Now he looked thin but he looked sprightly with a more spirited and sharp eyes. So definitely this fight won't go to the stinker, whatever that means.

You were wrong...the fight was competitive...but Pac just cracked him flush & hard & Morales just couldn't take it.
Watch it for free all you want...but everyone in the Grand Theatre was thrilled with what they paid for.
Good fight. Two champs that did all they good...but all good things come to an end.

Re: Pacquiao/Morales III is going to be a stinker!
The first hard right landed midway in the first round staggered Morales and eventually set the pace of the fight. No surprise Morales got ko'd in the third, the man has been in far too many wars, time to retire.

I have to disagree with this. I was happy to see the fight because I can't stand Erik Morales, but this was about as one-sided as a fight could possibly be. I think Morales was competitive for about a minute and a half, but it was clear from about halfway through the first round that he wasn't going to be able to hang more than 4-5 rounds max. I agree that he looked like a walking corpse at weigh-in too.

I'm not sure you need to be such an ass about it, but I have to :coolclick: you for calling this perfectly. And the being an ass doesn't really bother me either, since I've never liked EM. I predicted Pac by KO as well, but I actually thought Morales would hang a little longer than he did in the second fight. Anyway, cheers for calling it in spite of all the bile you got from people.
-
Re: Pacquiao/Morales III is going to be a stinker!
You're still an ass, just because you got the prediction right, read your thread title idiot, you said it would be a stinker?? I didn't see a stinker at all, that was 3 of the most action packed rounds I have seen.
-
Re: Pacquiao/Morales III is going to be a stinker!
Was not a stinker at all, Undercards were bad but BOY the main event had it all action, drama.... These are two great warriors duking it out in the ring it's just that the other was on the decline and Pac is on his way up and still getting better. And I believe Pac really looked like the bigger man for the first time in three contest and may have really given him that additional Pop to hurt Erik early and often.

I'm right here my man!!!
Whats good?
You predicted the outcome of a fight right...OK.... your not the 1st or the last. BUT to say that Erik & Pac would participate in a fight and it would be a stinker is absurd.... Those 2 guys there are warrios, I applaud Pac on his performance and look forward to seeing him more, I mean hearing the crowd at the Thomas & Mack for a pslit second I thought the fight was in Manila.... ;D
Gotta love the guy and hes earned it... Much love and respect to him and I wish his fans would be more like him....

Had morales won the fight you would have said different things. It's so sad that people are always trying to make reasons for their fighters to the point of discrediting the ability of other fighters. Morales said that he intends to knock pacman. Let us take his words for it. Morales trained hard and had he fought a lesser fighter like Guzman or Valero , there could have been a different result.
Take the case of Barrera. When Pacquiao annihilated Barrera, everybody was telling that Barrera is a spent force anyway. But take a look at his achievements after his fight with Pacman. He even has the titles with him right now. His defeat at the hands of Pacman is clearly a sign that Pacman has the ability and is the best fighter in the featherweight. Let us not deprive Pacman the respect he deserves.

Re: Pacquiao/Morales III is going to be a stinker!
Bleech you were right about your prediction.......................
But i wasn't wrong when i bhought PPV
Morales even fought with heart than Arnoutis/Villoria combined
And the excitement i got proves my money is worth spending as a boxing fan

I agree and disagree. I definitely enjoyed watching it, but I also really dislike Erik Morales. It was only dramatic in that it was fairly shocking to see Morales get finished that quickly. As far as competitive drama, it was all in the build up. The fight itself was entirely one-sided. It was clear from about a minute and a half in that Pacquiao was going to completely dominate the fight--he was staggering Morales in round 1, and didn't seem remotely bothered by anything that was coming back. He was also about three times faster than Morales. Those weren't things that were going to change, even if the fight had gone longer than three rounds. I mean--you pretty much knew what was going to happen from the opening seconds.

You mean the punches that landed on Pac flush prior to the 3rd knockdown werent dramatic to you?
Morales landed some shots on Pac and had him against the ropes a few times... Those moments were tense regardless who you were rooting for...

good post got to give Pac man credit. I was impressed when he got hit hard and came back with hard punches of his own. However, I do have to voice the fact that despite what Morales said, I have been calling him a shot fighter since before the Pac-Morales I. As a matter of fact I am surprised that he one. I thought that the major reason he won was because he was bigger and also that Pac looked out of balance.
It was clear to me that Morales was shot when he lost the very fight after he won against Pac. He was slower and seemed to get winded.
He looked like what we used to call when I used to compete in 10K races, "the bear jumping on your back". This would happen when we would burn out. I recognized that in Morales and saw it again in Pac II.
Give credit to Pac, it is clear that he is P4P. I like him, I am a fan but it is also true that Morales has been a shot fighter for over a year.

I agree with Violent Bob on this one. Yes, Morales landed a couple shots flush (about 1 for every 4 Manny landed), but Manny didn't ever look hurt by them. Morales, on the other hand, was visibly getting hurt from about a minute in. Put it this way--the punches Manny was landing, and the way Morales was responding, made it look like Manny was definitely KTFO EM before 5 or 6 rounds were up. The punches Morales landed, and the way Manny responded, didn't provoke any such thoughts.

Re: Pacquiao/Morales III is going to be a stinker!
both fighters put their all into it and both fought with courage and with tons of heart, i kind of knew that Morales was going to lose before the first punch was thrown, as soon as the bell sounded he looked too heavy on his feet and i knew that that was going to be a problem, but no excuses Pacquiao is definately one of if not the best Jr Lightweight in the world right now, IMO his best option would be fighting either one of these fighters, Guzman, Barrera, Marquez, or even go up and fight Barrios, Freitas, Chavez, Juan Diaz any of those fights would be great.
-
Re: Pacquiao/Morales III is going to be a stinker!
This fight was a stick of dynomite! It was short and sweet and both fighters took as good as the gave. Morales is great. Paquiao is greater. This fight was even until the knockdowns. Even after the knockdowns Morales fought valiantly.
