PBF says that fighting Baldomierda is a huge risk.
There is no risk!
Baldo has like 13 ko's out of 60 fights (wow! He is deadly as sin) LMAO
The risk is and will be for a long time against fighters like Hatton, Cotto, Margarito, Paul Williams. PBF's plan is to fight those fighters who are not a threat or a danger to his would be legacy. He is like the school bully who beats up on those he knows he can beat but he leaves the real tough guys alone. He can not fool me but if you are fooled by his hand pickings and believeing that he is taking the most dangerous fighters on, you are wrong.
So what if Baldomierda beat Gatti. Any of the fighters that Baldo or PBF beat for that matter would get mopped by Kostya Tszyu.
BTW doesnt Tata mean grandfather in Spanish?
Cus that is who PBF is fighting El Tata.
PS. the large image of the mask can be found here.
http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/3079/pbfmask4nt.gif
Wear it with pride. PBF does.
:)
Oh, snap! This perfect for my halloween costume. When they ask me who I am, I will say PBF. I will wear boxing atire and a robe :)
It will be funny. I know, I know.
so a good fighter always gets knockouts?
thats how you determine how dangerous a fighter is?
i guess that pernell whitaker wasnt all that good if you use the danny g ranking system ::**
and the last time i checked, baldomir has fought and beat better opposition in the last year, then margarito has fought in his whole career.
margaritos so great, but he recently lost to daniel santos...........truly a legend ::**
as for your stable of dangerous fighters........................
hatton has repeatedly turned down mayweather....... and cotto, margarito, and williams havent even so much as fought anybody worth a crap (at least cotto and williams havent yet lost to ANYBODY, let alone worthless ass scrubs like the ones who beat margarito ;))
so i guess youre right, mayweather tried taking the easy route by trying to make fights with delahoya, hatton, mosely, then finally baldomir who is the linear ww champion (who beat the guy that margarito is fighting in december) instead of going up against the "dangerous" margarito ::**
how old are you danny g??
seriously, im guessing that youre not even 15years old with all these corny ass pictures you keep posting.
grow up little boy, and start posting like an adult (not a knock on the young boxing fans that are on this forum who actually know wtf theyre talking about, just this immature, corny picture posting little punk)

frozensolid_702? Everytime I say anything about PBF or Peter Manfredo Jr. People go bannanas and start calling me names. What!? I don't have the right to talk about PBF and argue his false claims without getting personally attacked or insulted? I am not even a Baldimierda or a Antonio Margarito fan but I still think Tony has a better chance against PBF than Baldomierda. Do I have to feed into PBF's bullshiet lies when he say's he is better than Ray Robbinson, Ali and Leonard? Do I have to feed into his lies when he and his promoter try to tell me this is a risky fight for PBF? I can not help it if PBF's nut huggers get offended but they should not run around making personal attacks against another posters opinions. I try very hard not to insult the posters but if they go there, I can insult them back. We can do it either way but I refuse to be brainwashed, or hard sold on something I see as not true. When and if PBF fulfills his prophecy than I shall give him his accolades. His claim is, if he quits today, he will go down as the greatest boxer ever. Not in my books and not in millions of other peoples books either.

damn, watch the interview again without your hater goggles on
he said that his goal was to retire as the greatest fighter of all time, and to do so he would have to believe that he was currently the greatest of all time who was in the middle of his career

There are now about 15 interviews that I know of. Which one do you want me to watch and listen to? The ones where he said he is better than everyone else or the one where he starts cleaning it up and saying things like I did not mean it like that and Ali is great and Robbinson is great? Show me the one you want me to buy into or do you want me to post the first ones where he made all those insane claims before people became outraged and called him on his shiet.

Bro I'll give you that Margarito has a better chance against Floyd than Baldomir. But at the end of the day Baldomir is the WW champion of the world, Margarito is just a belt holder. This fight may not be a huge risk but it is a more important fight IMO than Floyd/ Tony at this point.
-
Re: margarito vs. the welterweights
Being a huge fan of Floyd...here's the thing...Floyd says a lot of outlandish things...things that Floyd says for one reason & one reason only...PRESS & NOTORIETY.
Floyd does & says many things that I find hillarious & ofcourse...outlandish to say the least...but first & foremost...Floyd is a student of the game & no matter what he says during or after the build up to the fight...Floyd always shows respect to his fellow opponant in the end.
Fighters like Floyd don't come along everyday...much less every decade. Mouthy, flashy, arrogant, or what not...everyone that knows boxing recognizes the fact that Floyd is the real deal & that Floyd is a fantastic fighter...trust me fellows...even Danny G knows that Floyd is the goods.
He's just proding a bit. ;)

One thing is consistant here and on any forum. When some one has nothing more to say and can not argue a persons posts they resort to name calling. (That is what you did)
I made a lot of good points and I am sure Gamo will appreciate them more than the PBF nut huggers are right now. The difference between you and I is, that I am not a PBF nut hugger. YOU ARE! I am not a Margarito nut hugger either. You are a Margarito hater and you said a lot of insulting things about Margarito but I can't talk shiet about your Queen of the ring PBF? You were the one that began posting those stupid large images of Arnold Swatanikku so dont come here and try to get all stupid and try to insult me when I post an image or two. Just because I dabble in graphics that also pisses you off? Cus I got some skills? Just cus you are too stupid to understand any programs don't mean you have to take it out on me. (U LAMER) Who died and made you the forum queen biatch boy?
Me la pelas mil veces y te la tragas mil veces mas pinche putillo vales verga.
PS I will not talk about your boyfriend PBF again. You are glued so tight to his nuts, I doubt poor PBF can even use the restroom standing up. Does he squat to pee? Do you get splashed?
Si, PBF se sienta para miar. LMAO
Igual que tu chavalita.

Nope not big on Tony but I am not big on PBF either and if I had to bet on either one, I would bet on Tony. But that will never happen cus PBF es una gallina. pluck..pluck..pluck.
Just tell me with all your heart and soul that the fight they are calling 'Pretty Risky' is all that? RISK?
Is this really a risky fight for PBF? I don't see the risk. Explain what chances El Abuelito (Tata) Baldomir has against PBF?
I know there are a lot of PBF nuttys here, one of you explain it to me.

I like both guys, I just wish they'd fight so we could put a rest to this

hes the undisputed welterweight champion of the world who is something like
19-0-1 with 18 knockouts in the past 8 years or something like that, and he has beat quality opposition in his career, like judah and clottey
baldomir is proven, margarito is a big question mark that just lost to a bum 4 fights ago and is now going on to the toughest fight of his career (somebody baldomir already beat ;))

Just tell me with all your heart and soul that the fight they are calling 'Pretty Risky' is all that? RISK?
Is this really a risky fight for PBF? I don't see the risk. Explain what chances El Abuelito (Tata) Baldomir has against PBF?
I know there are a lot of PBF nuttys here, one of you explain it to me.
hes the undisputed welterweight champion of the world who is something like
19-0-1 with 18 knockouts in the past 8 years or something like that, and he has beat quality opposition in his career, like judah and clottey
baldomir is proven, margarito is a big question mark that just lost to a bum 4 fights ago and is now going on to the toughest fight of his career (somebody baldomir already beat ;))
Baldomir beating Judah, even though I think Judah's the ultimate underachieving idiot, is a bigger win than Margarito's ever had. Clearly. But Baldomir didn't really beat Clottey so much as Clottey fucked up. Clottey was on his way to a pretty clear decision over Baldomir till he got stupid and dirty.

Old arguement...easy answer.
Floyd has done exactly what he said he would quite a few years back...he moved up in weight, he beat Gatti, beat Judah like he said...& this was before the Baldo debacle was discussed, & now he's gonna beat Baldo...who is a true welterweight that has been running undefeated for the past 19 or 20 or so fights...IWO...that's pretty good & what he's accomplished is damned impressive.
There are other fights out there for Floyd...but he's taking the best one out there right now.
It says a lot that Hatton wouldnt fight Floyd...but then he would...but then he wouldnt again.
Margarito is hyping himself to be a world beater...& that is something that he is not.
As far as the fight being risky...sure as shit it is...anyone that follows boxing knows that it is...hate or not.
Floyd has moved up undefeated through the weights...hes gotten his belts & hes gotten the recognition...if Baldo were to beat Floyd...it would cost Floyd a lot...so...easy answer...YES...it;s Risky & Baldo does have a chance...no one gave him a chance against Judah...look how that ended...same goes for Gatti...& he TKO;d him.
The Oscar fight is what Floyd is shooting for the most & wants the most...I think that its a mistake.

Re: margarito vs. the welterweights
Iv just managed to spoon up as much video footage of Margarito as i could and i must say...
Whats the big deal.
I'll tell you what the big deal is, he hasn't fought anyone.... Thats it.
I think some people have put 2 & 2 together and come up with 22 ::**
He reminds me of a Tito (bad balance issues) with even less variation, much less speed (Including a riddiculously slow looping right hand) and he seems content to march he's man down, which given my estimation of some of the other fighters @ 147 could prove to give some exciting fights but ultimately he, as some has already stated, is no world beater and he will fail to find that success that makes a fighter "The man".

Re: margarito vs. the welterweights
CC back Frozensolid buT I disagree,I don't know much about boxing and guys like DG and Mick have been fans for much longer so they know what they are talking about. I see Floyd's talent but I am still critical of whom he has fought.
One thing though guys, relax a little more!! I read this thread at uni and could not stop laughing!! Everyone was getting all heated up!Take it easy, hopefully they will fight each other when Tony has fought more names/been more active and when PBF has done his business with Oscar.

I totally disagree from the beginning bro,he' s no Tito nor has he proclaimed to be nor does he fight like him. Margarito has balance issues at times, can be open at times,is huge for a WW,has a decent jab, works head and body brilliantly creating openings, good power, tremendous work ethic, switch hitter, etc. He just asks for a shot at the big time, that is all and I guess he needs to work harder on that but I'm sure he can do it.
My advice to him(if he;s reading this) would be to fight more, beat the rest of the field, then call out the big names, that's the advice Oscar gave him too and it's the right way. I still believe that it is a dangerou dangerous fight for Floyd which is why I want to see it so bad, more dangerous than anyone he's fought since El Temible.

Re: margarito vs. the welterweights
Margarito is a very exciting fighter to watch and he delivers on the opponents he's fought. I agree with that. But here's the main question. Who has he fought? If he;s the best welterweight on the planet can somebody the "best" welterweights he beat while on the way up there?
How long are you going to milk the Cintron victory. Cintron made a career out of knocking out fighters moving up from 140 and naturally smaller then him and beat Teddy Reid. So they threw him in with Margarito because of his record when it was more padded then Margarito's imo.
I agree with some of the things, but along with facts you need to acknowledge every fact.
If he's the greatest welterweight on the planet, answer this question, who were the 'great' welterweights he beat to get there? Because I cant find any on his list.

very true............
now theres talk of margarito fighting corrales ::**
that is totally ridiculous, imo
corrales WAS a solid lightweight, now hes gonna jump to 147 and margaritos gonna take all kinds of credit for this fight if it comes off
i give margarito a lot more credit for fighting clottey

CC,i'll totally go along with that. I just think his list of opponents is not great but it is not filled with bums in my opinion, they are all decent fighters but like you said,he needs to beat more top FIVE contenders rather than beating the top 10(bottom 5) ones.
Personally speaking,I don't milk the Cintron win and nor have I seen any other Margarito fans do so but I just thought it was impressive how he dismantled him. He looked very good.

Well lots of fighters have made the jump and even Castillo should and hoppefully will make the jump,I don't really see what is so ridiculous about it. He was killing himself making 135,he should fight closer to his natural weight ie 147. and as for the Clottey fight,Margarito totally deserves credit for fighting him and quite a few members here have admitted that. Clottey is a threat, very dangerous.

Judah couldn't even beat Baldomir, floyd don't wanna fight him for a number of excuses as for Margarito getting any good (probable to happen) fight soon the only one I would look foward to is Williams vs Margarito

Re: margarito vs. the welterweights
Margarito needs to chase down the winner of Cotto/ Qunitana or a bout with Collazo a win against one of those guys & I'll say Floyd needs to fight him. Thats if he gets past Clottey.

Yep,I agree with that OR add maybe Mosley or someone to the list.I mean Arum has promised him big fights! I'd loooove to see him fight the winner of Cotto-Quintana!!

Yeah Mosley would be great but I don't know what that dudes up to (should have fought Floyd this year). You put victories over Clottey, & anyone of those other guys mentioned on Margaritos resume & I guarantee Floyd steps in the ring with him!
