Understood but it's a hypothetical fight, lots of things COULD HAVE happened, that's all....I see it ending by KO either way, if Wlad connected first I think he would have KO'd Lewis, if Lewis caught Wlad first then I see Lennox winning....wouldn't have gone the distance

Wouldn't have happened, I don't think. I think Wlad would have won simply because Lennox was fat for this fight and Vitali was coming on when the fight had to be stopped. Lennox was getting tired and if he fought Wlad in that shape he would have gassed and Klitschko would have pulled the trigger on him.

Guess you must have missed the final round when Lennox landed that uppercut and started punching Vitali all over the ring. Vitali was out on his feet holding on for dear life had it gone another round it was bye bye Vitali.

Vitali was taking that round off as he had really put it to Lennox in the first couple of rounds. Lennox shot his wad in round 6 and Vitali would have put him down in 8 for the 10 count!
Lennox may have been out of shape but had he fought Wlad at that time then Wladimir would have lost simply because of the loss to Sanders he wasn't mentally into fighting right after that loss.
Had he fought Lennox BEFORE fighting Sanders it would have been a lot closer and had the current version of Wlad fought that version of Lennox it would be much much closer.
Prime for Prime Lennox still wins but I think right now Wlad is showing he could last more rounds

Watch the fight again and between rounds pay close attention to the replay . Lewis cut Vitali with a legitimate punch . There were no headbutts or elbows etc . Lewis did all the damage failry with his fists and Vitali could not continue . He literally ripped Vitali apart but if it wasnt for the cuts I think Lewis would have knocked him spark out in the 7th

Lewis knew when to pack it is. He had perfect timing in that regard. He knew his better days were behind him so it was time to retire. Not many fighters can do that. He capped off a great career by beating his heir apparent.

Going back to the original subject, Lewis could win a fight against Wlad by KO in the first couple of rounds as soon as he landed a solid right hand. I wished that fight happened, but it is too late for that. I don't see Wlad with the heart to fight a guy like Lewis. I believe Vitali could have more chances of winning, but still I believe Lewis could win the rematch.

I didnt like what Vitali did post fight. As already mentioned he got very brave when he knew the fight was over. I can understand his frustration but poking and proding at Lewis afterwards like he'd robbed him?
Both of em were knackered, Lewis looked like he was dealing with it better.
Wlad would have got sparked by any version of Lewis at any time.

At this time there is no argument Lewis would have KO'd him. Wlad is better now but I still think that Lennox at any point would have beaten Wlad at any point. I do think though that had that fight gone on Vitali would have won the fight but it didn't and everything was legal, it was a punch that cut him and it definitley was bad enough to warrant stopping the fight (unless your Rocky Marciano).

Lennox would have destroyed Wlad in 6 rounds. Vitali is the better fighter of the 2 brothers, and wasn't scared to get hit like Wlad seemingly is sometimes. I like Wlad, no doubt, but I do question his intestinal fortitude on occasion.

I reckon Lewis would have won as I have never really seen Wlad have to dig deep. That includes the Peter fight.
As for Lewis v Vitali when any kids I have look up the result they will see fact Lewis won by TKO in 6 against Vitali. It is only opinion that Lewis or Vitali would have won. It always makes me laugh when people debate this.

Look at it like this: a past-his-prime Lennox Lewis went in there with a prime Vitali Klitschko on a fight he took on 2 weeks notice (he had been supposedly training for kirk johnson and taking it very lightly from the fatty spare tire he carried into the ring). What fight were you watching? Yeah VK gave him some trouble for four or five rounds but if anyone was gettin KOed it was Vitali. At the end of the round right before it was stopped Lewis was landing punches almost at will. The uppercut he hit Klitschko with that round was ridiculous...I thought his head was gonna come right off! I give VK props for having a good chin but there aint no way he was takin more of that shit especially since he couldnt see cuz his face was gettin turned into hamburger. Oh you mean when Lewis came on after the HYOOGE gash in Vitali's eye? The 1 in 10,000 injury that stoked Lewis to tune it up because he was running on E and needed to do something to that cut to get the fight stopped. You mean that last round?

This maybe harsh but he will not stand a chance. Lewis by KO. Just take a look at the Klits brothers you can tell who is the better boxer. And the better one can't do big damage to the lazy version of Lennox. There is something in Vitalys character that Wlad doesn't have. The killer instinct. On the build up of the Lennox fight, its hard to pick who will win. Most boxing aficionados knows that Vitaly has a chance. And i don't see that on Wlad case (even todays version of him). Since this is ifs and buts we will never know how he would fare.

I think many people are judging this "what-if" fight using an in-shape Lewis. I'm going by the one who stepped in with Vitali Klitschko. Wlad back then threw hammers non-stop until he ran out of gas and the injury Vitali sustained would be highly unlikely to happen to Wlad considering how it happened at all. I'm not saying Wlad would win, but I don't see it as cut-and-dry as everyone else.

I watched that fight with a guy who was a huge Klitschko fan. He was devestated at the stoppage even though half his face was hanging off. Lewis was going to KO him is what i said to him if it went on, he disagreed but that's how i saw it going. He knows his stuff too this guy but you know...... opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.

I'm sure I remeber it being Lewis fist that cut Vitali so bad he couldn't continue, as far as I remeber that would make him the winner

. . and these losers who say Vitali was ahead when it was stopped are overlooking the fact that Lewis was in charge and had things under control in the 6th . Vitali had given it his best and the 6th was a big round for Lewis. He began landing his power shots , took all Vitali had to offer and was breaking him down . Vitali was there for the taking as the bell sounded to end the 6th . I cant think of any possible scenario how Vitali could have gone on to win that fight . He couldnt last 12 and when he landed his best shots on Lewis they bounced off his chin . He had no chance and getting pulled out by the doctor was the best thing that could have happend to him .
