Judah never hurt Floyd. Judah should've been credited with a knockdown early in the fight, I forget exactly which round it was.
Floyd's glove touched the canvas, but the ref missed it. Floyd wasn't hurt or wobbled, it was just the result of Judah using his great hand speed and throwing a quick, straight left hand counter shot that caught Floyd when he was off-balance. Floyd put his glove down to steady himself (which is technically a knockdown), but no knockdown was called.

Hopefully all who said Mayweather is a bitch for not taking Margarito on can eat their words (I had my helping of alphabet soup) becuase all roads led to this megafight.
Margarito has never been a factor for Floyd & I honestly don't see him as the "danger man" of the division, but that's just me. Agreed with you...all roads led to this for Floyd. It's what he's always talked about & he finally got it.

Floyd is so fast but obviously is relatively weak on the power front, but with that accuracy, any open ness in Oscar will be punished with 3-4 accurate hurtful shots, Oscar can't get out of shape, but he must pressure, keep floyd on the back foot, and he's got to hit something with every punch, even if its his shoulder, elbow, anything. I'm not making predictions, because I can't commit to one decision. I'm just going to sit back, and enjoy, I just hope afterwards we know who the better fighter is. I'm leaning towards a De La Hoya knockout one day, the a Floyd UD the next. I can't pick, and I sure as hell can't wait.
Agreed...pretty much on all points there.

No he was not. I can't believe people believe this bullshit. Corley hit Mayweather flush and Mayweather took a step backwards. He than proceeded to avoid damn near all of Corley's follow up punches. He was clear headed the whole time. The fact that it was one of the few times anybody has ever hit Floyd flush is why people think Floyd was hurt. But he was not. This is boxing. You get hit in boxing. Floyd got hit. That's all that happen. He was never hurt. As for Judah hurting him? That's just stupidity. When? What round?

Corley did sting Floyd...but I honestly don't consider a sting, hurting a man, nor is it something that's such a bad thing. Corley connected on several good shots against Floyd...but Floyd was never in jeopardy.
Never saw him hurt against Judah, cept for the nut shot & the rabbit punch.

I can accept sting, but when they try and use it as an example that Floyd's chin is weak. Than it becomes stupidity

I'd prefer to see DLH win - but agree - his loss against Mosely makes me wonder how he can deal with Floyd's speed.
I don't see a KO from Floyd but unless Floyd's defense slips by off chance and Oscar catches him good and follows up like he would - Floyd UD.

Agreed. Nothing...& I MEAN NOTHING has pointed to anything remotely close to Floyd having even a questionable chin, to date.
Floyd has taken some heavy shots from Corrales, Hernandaz, Castillo, Chavez, Gatti, N'dou, & Baldo...he took every shot that they could connect with & just kept on going.

Let me say this...& this is just my opinion & we all know that mine opinion is like an asshole...no wait...what I meant was...forget it...anyways...heh heh heh...Oscar lost the first Mosley fight...but I was ringside at the second one...& Oscar got robbed.
Even Mosley knew that. It was written all over his face.
Anywho...my point is this...the speed & technique may be comprable between Mosley & Mayweather...but the power is the difference. Mosley can crack @ this weight...Mayweather can't.
Mayweather will have to move constantly in this fight. Granted Oscar has slown since then...but if he puts in the type of night he did against Mosley in the rematch...Floyd is fwocked.
Now...that being said...if Mayweather shows up & fights on the par that he did against Ndou...Oscar's fwocked.

:coolclick: No way in hell will we see a KO from Floyd. Oscar's never been TKO'd from a head shot from anyone, only the body shot from Hopkins...Floyd is no Hopkins.
What has me worried is the barrages that Oscar can unload. All Oscar needs to do is sting Floyd & if Floyd get's stunned & Oscar unloads...it's over. It's not a power issue for either man that worries me...it's accumulative accuracey.

What are the chances of that? I like Quartey but he is one of boxings most hard headed fighters. Floyd is not. Floyd will not put himself in that situation

Now you know as well as I do that it only takes one shot. Oscar catches him & stuns him...it's outta Floyd's hands.
I think that it's improbable too...but I'm just trying to keep the open mind on this one.
I don't want to set myself up for disappointment. I'd love for Floyd to come out of this one unscathed...but again...I aint settin myself up for disappointment.

Saying Floyd got buzzed and saying his chin is made of glass are two different things. I know what I saw. Just goes to show that Corley has more pop than he gets credit for and just cause you're a fan of a guy doesn't mean he's made of steel so get over it. This is boxing we're talking about and anyone at anytime can get caught. Nobody's perfect.

Judah didn't buzz Mayweather. He caught him with a quick counter left hand that caught Mayweather slightly off-balance and Floyd put his glove to the canvas to stop from falling down, which is a technically a knockdown, but the ref missed it. But Judah didn't hurt Mayweather, it was just a well-timed punch that caught Mayweather by surprise, but it just knocked Floyd off-balance, he wasn't hurt or stunned at all.

That's not even the punch I'm talking about. That was a legit Knockdown by the way. It was a straight left that knocked Floyds head back and he had to take a few moments to recover from it.

Re: Wacko's Drunken Round by Round just got owned by YoitsDan!!! Oscar vs Floyd.
Interesting fight. Nicked this from a post of mine a while back but basically details what I think the main issues of this fight are.
SO many intangibles for this fight. Moreso then any other fight in recent memory. Wrote an article about it on the front page a while back.
There is Oscar's age and inactivity. Look at his last few fights. He squeeked by with a decision over Sturm, one he probably didn't deserve. Then the B-Hop fight. Then a year or so of inactivity before he beatdown Mayorga. Oscar is well past his best, Floyd is looking like he could be the best fighter of this whole generation. I mean on paper it seems like a no brainer. In fact sometimes I tend to beleive it'll be a wash but who knows?
Then there is Oscar's power. Oscar holds the power in the lead hand and Floyd makes a living off making the first punch miss. And he's faced a lot faster fighters then Oscar. But what happens when one does connect? Best case scenario for Floyd, the fight goes 12. He can't go 12 full rounds avoiding the lead left hook. So how is he going to react? I think the only time we've seen him rocked was against Chop Chop. And he reacted really well and came back to win the round. De La Hoya isn't Chop Chop. But in some ways his power is overrated imo since most of it is in that lead left hand (Oscar is left handed) and he doesn't deal to much damage with the right. But still, he's a smart fighter and he'll find a way to land.
Of course there is the weight. If I recall correctly (and I could be wrong) but didn't Floyd come in at about 154 the day of the Judah fight? He probably isn't going to put on much weight for De La Hoya so I don't think he'll be hindered to much. And how much will cutting weight effect Oscar? Not to much I don't think but you never know.
I think the thing that is most interesting is the spotlight. The stage. Floyd LOVES attention. Need proof? Look at his entrance versus Baldomir (which I found hillarious). De La Hoya has been the Gold standard for a while now. He is as accustomed to this level of publicity then anybody is. Compared to what Oscar has done, Floyd's career is a mere afterthought. So...how will Floyd handle this? He won't just be talking to Brian Kenny and website press every once and a while now, he'll be hit with an onslaught EVERYDAY. Will it effect him? I tend to think it will just because he doesn't know how to say no to publicity. Oscar on the other hand has been through this for over a decade now.
IMO, Floyd is the safe bet. In fact I think he wins this fight going away. But there are all extras that don't guarantee that. Should be a fun couple of months for boxing fans in leading up to the fight.

Re: Predictions for the Mayweather v De la hoya fight
No way Oscar knocks Floyd out.
Floyd has never really even been stunned...so don't count on Oscar to stop him...Floyd aint Mayorga.
Floyd will not be there to be hit on demand.
Personally I think that it'll be Floyd's hardest fight to date...but I think he'll edge it out...atleast...that's what I think this week. ;D
No matter who wins...it's all good in Wacko's neighborhood. :lickish:

Re: Predictions for the Mayweather v De la hoya fight
Demarcus Corley had Floyd stunned big time and Oscar hits alot harder than Corley

PBF VS ODLH!!!!!
This is it!!!!!!!!!!!! No hiding or beating around the bush any more!!!!! Time to put it on the line and draw sides!!! Due to the fact the fight is at 154 I am going with ODLH via KO...I thought PBF would hold out for 147 in which I believe him to be unbeatable at this weight or at 140...but, ODLH is way too smart for that and because of the weight for this fight it's ODLH time!!!!!!!

Yeh i agree, Corley had him hurt.......but Mayweather re-grouped.
I honestly see Mayweather pot shotting his way to a big lead and then flurrying with combo's late on for a possible late stoppage or wide UD.
Even though i don't like him as a person (and i like de la hoya) i still kinda want Floyd to win. Don't know why, i just do......maybe i'm waiting for Ricky Hatton to shut him up ;D
Sometimes it's nice to appreciate greatness

Ummm...no he didn't. Demarcus caught Floyd on the ropes once or twice.
Not sure you know what stunned means if you think that Corley stunned him. That's just silly.
If anyone caught Floyd worthy of mentioning it's Castillo.
