I don't share that view point like many do... This is boxing, not basketball or football... Augustus doesn't have a team to let down, he doesn't have a contract to abide by... It's the fight game, if a guy is clowning around during a fight, there's a pretty simple answer... Hit them. If the other fighter can't stop him from clowning around and still winning rounds, then what's the harm, he's simply outclassing his opponent.. If he dances around even though the other guy is winning the fight, the judges and everyone watching will obviously see this, and yet still if the other guy can't do enough damage to stop him from clowning, well, tough.. Lots of guys clinch and run even though they are losing a fight badly, and they aren't brought up as a disgrace to the sport so frequently like Emanuel is.. Personally Id much rather watch clowning.. Besides that, he fights absolutely anyone he can, anywhere, on their terms, I think that kind of earns him the right to fight his fight, you know?

Yep. I always put em up for discussion so that it cuts down on chitter chatter during the actual roundings...also...it's good to get the banter & anticipation up to a fever pitch just before the game.
The actual date of the match is posted somewhere in the body of the initial post though.

Okay peeps...wer'e going sticky right now.
The fights are only three days away...so it's time to bring us back to the front line.
I'll be here covering both fights...weather permitting & so long as the powers not out in my area.
Big ice storm headed Wacko's way straight up from the belly of Texas & it looks to be a tuffy. We shall see.

Woohoo! The fight is only a couple of days away, and I can't bloody wait to see Hatton back in action, i's been awhile so hopefully he'll be as electrifying as he can be, and really impress against this guy, who's a bit of a plodder, and tailor made for a great fight i think.
Urango will be pretty heavy handed, so he does have the potential to rock Hatton, and as Hatton's style does leave him a little open, it should be a cracking fight.
As for Castillo, I'm looking forward to see him in action, and I hope he and Hatton get through their fights, cause that will be a real superfight.

Cant wait for the fight, i think Ricky will be taken the distance. Ive got a feeling this Urango, with his super thick neck, is one of those super durable freaks.
Castillo should stop his man, he looked tiny next to Augustus and was badly hurt by him... which is not good at all!

Agreed...Hatton's chin has never been questionable...but he's only fought one fighter that hits like Urango...& that was Kostya.

Standing next to Hatton like that he doesn't look like he's any taller that him though.
I'm sure it's just the angle, but he looks 5' 6" as well.
And he looks huge because he has a really low body fat % which is a bad thing, especially with Hatton's body attack.

Hatton by late stoppage for me and i think it'll be a tough fight for him where he gets a few nasty cuts.
Urango looks durable to me and his record reflects that.
This could be prove a top move for Hatton (fighting Urango) because i think we are in for a belter of a fight.

My final thoughts are that Hatton will look to box early on, but gradually increase the pressure and come on as the fight progresses. Hatton will outwork Urango down the stretch. I expect a few rocky moments, but Hatton should be too good...

I see him having decent 'short' power from his hooks but not from his legs/hayemakers cos most of his weight/power has to be in his body
Hatton should box his to a stoppage or UD
The only way Urango wins is a cracker of a lucky punch

I think a lot of people are giving urango too much credit just based on his physique. He's slow, predictable, and one-dimensional. But he always moves forward and so does hatton so I'd expect urango to land a few solid shots. But a "world class" fighter like hatton should have NO problem winning this fight.
Urango is looking confident in those weigh in pics and this is without a doubt the biggest fight he will ever have. I'd love to see him pull an upset and knock hatton out. I will be pushing for urango, but I know for every 1 punch he lands hatton will land 5 on him and Urango will get his ass beat tonight.

Listen man physique dont mean shit! Well, it means something but all this "WOW LOOK HOW BIGGER URANGO LOOKS THAN HATTON UH OH!" is getting old. Does a bodybuilder have a muscular physique? Yes. Does that make them a good boxer? No.
Urango has a puncher's chance and that's all. He is also one dimensional and slow as glue.
