I think it will be a good measuring stick to see how he looks etc. If McCline outboxes him etc. If Valuev can stop McCline that would be impressive.
Valuev has a belt and when you have a belt you need to be facing top tier opposition. Barret and Beck were ridiculous. He's not saving much face with McCline.
But look at Maskaev , Beck & Barrett are better than Okhello. Nobody complains about Maskaev.
well okhello was a bit of a break lets be honest,
Oleg did go back and Solidify a win over a dangerous (for him) rahman yo haveto give himn credit for that! It more than Wlad has done.(why??)
against his ko losses.

There are two reasons for that.
1. Maskaev will loose his next fight who ever he faces.... Unless its Rahman.
2. Even if he were to win, the 49-0 record set by Rocky Marciano 50+ years ago would not be in any jepordy.
true but don't sell mask TOO short
#1 he could fight another okhello
#2 he's not total sh1t,he can bang,just ask Hasim!

Maskaev KO'd a title holder to get his title....AND that's ONE fight after winning the title he had to wait because of the Toney-Peter rematch and another point is that he fought in Moscow which would mean some fighters probably turned him down because of where the fight was being held.
Oleg was also wanting to fight Wladimir Klitschko unlike Nicolay "Big Fraud" Valuev
Im tryin to follow you here....Mask beat Rahman, who he ahad already beaten.
Rock was teh WBC guy after a draw with Toney to save his belt after winning it from.......Monte Barret??
So thats good? but when Valuev fights barrett now its a sh1t d\fight??
VAluev gets teh belt from Ruiz who has done lots....I don't get your point..
If anything Valuevs belt win is more legit than mask's..

If his heart is in it he can make it a good fight but Valuev has the momentum. He will force the fight, be the boss and take the rounds . Valuev UD
I don't think so...Valuev sets a ghood pace/punch oputput..
McCline fights down to his opponent and maybe up as well...It might be ok...mayeb good....maybe really f#CKIN GOOD!

I don't think McCline could knock out Valuev, but I think he could out-work vauev, beat him to the punch, make him look slow and S***. Its gonna take something massive to knock out Valuev but I think he could be outboxed by an experienced pro like McCline.
Having said that I do remember seeing McCline S*** himself against Wlad Klitschko and they dont come more intimidating than the giant. if McCline comes to fight I think he could pull it off. Anyone see how much McCline weighed in at? If he's around 265lbs he's in shape.
And seeing as were on the record, I reckon Wlad beats Valuev no problems and Sam Peter might be able to anyone. I don't think much of Valuev.
I disagree.. the ONE thing Valuev DOESNT rely on is his size. BUt he should.
Valuev has used heavy hand good puch out put and goos conditioniong to win so far.
McCline could be trouble for Valuev.
again I de\isagree McCline could KO Valuev! If he can hurt him (he can be hit) and keep on himn when he's hurt he could stop him...
McCline not fantastic but he's well rounded. HE needs BALLS!
And to fight like a biog man! funny how the giants are all liek that huh!?

Re: Valuev/McCline Predictions...for the record!!!
Big pile of garbage against even bigger pile of garbage. This fight is just sad. McCline (Mr. I lose to fighters with no knock outs) has no business getting a title shot. But than again Valuev has no business being a title holder. How Valuev expect people to take him seriously when his level of competition is going backwards? Who's next after McCline? Dominic Guinn? Fraudley Harrison? No, I got it. Lou Saverase. He just made a comeback. He'll be perfect for Valuev. Another stiff to add to his collection. Valuev-McCline is a treat for people who like big, slow fighters who can't fight. I hear the President of the Valuev groupie club Landmine will be ring side. Holding up his home made "I shampoo Valuev crotch hair, and like it" sign.

And it's a shame you're probably right. McCline is a doity bum. McCline should be clearing out the heavies based on how he looks, but he's so timid! I've never seen him throw a big shot with confidence and he gives opponents too much respect. Valuev is a carefully crafted creation meant to shock and awe with his size alone and not heart and ability. McCline doesn't deserve a title shot just like Barrett didn't. Valuev should be matching against Ray Austin, but a fighter with actual balls, Klitschko, is doing it. The only appeal to this fight is if the ring can hold up under all that weight. I hope McCline becomes uncharacteristic that night and tees off on Valuev's face. Then he should teabag him. But in all honesty, I think Valuev is going to scrape McCline's face off with that decent looking straight right hand and put that baby to bed. KO in 6.

Anyone know of a site thats streaming this? Dont think it'll be on TV here in the UK. And for the recond I reckon Valuev knocks him out somewhere around the mid to late rounds.

Re: Valuev/McCline Predictions...for the record!!!
HERE IT IS!
this is from the Associated Press so It can be published here.

Knee injury KOs McCline in round 3
By Karl Freitag
WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev (46-0, 34 KOs) retained his title with an unsatisfying third round stoppage of Jameel McCline (38-7-3, 23 KOs) Saturday night at St Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland. Action was slow in round one with neither fighter landing anything of consequence. Valuev connected with a good right hand in round two and outworked McCline most of that round. McCline started to have success with combinations in round three, but after a good two-way exchange at the end of the round, McCline's left knee gave out and he crashed to the deck. McCline could not continue and Valuev was declared the winner. McCline was taken from the ring on a stretcher. A disappointed Valuev commented, "I'm very sorry that Jameel had suffered this injury. Thank you to to all the fans who have supported me here." Co-promoter Don King observed "Valuev hit him so hard he broke his knee." Next on the agenda for 'The Russian Giant' is unbeaten mandatory challenger Ruslan Chagaev, probably in April.
I wish I could brag or boast or whatever after all my Valuev hype b4 this fight.....I can't....at least not when I'm sober..
This fight really proves nothing. Its like the McCline win over Grant.
A fluke win at best. One more W for Valuev that does nothing to make his record more respectable. Really a time waster ,other than it being a W for an older guy (33) who needs to get buzy if he want's to dominate this division and the media attention. Don King's comments probably do more harm than good. He should stick to making up new words. Maybe Gigantifantastic is in the works?
BUT! maybe this is what Valuev needs...Time. he wont need to heal up or rest. Back in the gym after a short break and continue to learn how to box and use his reach, size, power etc. He will have to maximize his obvious physical advantages to overcome his disagvantages in skill and agility if he hopes to take on and defeat the very best in the division and to defend against them all, for any length of time.
Now to dish out them Cool Clicks!! Anyone pick TKO in the Third?
Thoughts?
-
Re: Valuev/McCline Predictions...for the record!!!
Well what did we have?
I have one week of CC's to dish out..guess ill pass 'em around to the closest guesses
Liquid Valuev 6th round KO
Closest guess= 3 cc's
Dukeof74 Valuev by mid round stoppage ie TKO
12 round fight so mid round is rounds 6 and 7
runner up = 1 cc's
Killer sheep Valuev 7th round TKO
close 3rd = 1 cc
Specterscript McCline by 3rd round KO
Completely wrong.backwards. but a gutsy call and he did get the round and KO part right! LOL = 1 cc
BigDuece OOga-Chucka-OOoga-ooga, Ooga chucka
Funny guy! = 1 cc. more If you can name the song that has that line in it.
-

The origional ooga chucka was asong called "My boomerang wont come back" find it on lime wire from the 60's
I'm glad he won yes but as I said he really proves nothing, a bummer really. Give me a while I'll put a "spin" on it!!
