Why you think that? why is he overated? whos rated him to say that he is overated? being honest CF is an awesome exciting fighter.
Why is his next opponent 26-7? Did he or didn't he say he was facing a top ranked opponent next? What's up with that? And don't make a fool of yourself by saying Sergey Tatevosyan is a top ranked opponent.

You clown. Tam's age should have no bearing on his opinion. Your Basically saying he's too young to know anything about Calzaghe. That's like Saying CutMeMick is young to talk about Sugar Ray Leanord or Smashup is to young to talk about Ali or Bilbo is too young to talk about Marciano.
From his previous posts i can make my own assesment of his knowledge and it is far greater than yours.
Getting back to the topic ;D
I think Froch does have it in him to be a world champion. He has a lot of power and he's awkward with a very good chin. I don't know if he is good enough to beat Calzaghe but i would give him a decent shout against anybody else.......including Kessler.
agreed im 17 and since ive been on this site my knowledge has improved twice as much and im learning more and more everyday i disagree with tams comment aswell but no need to take piss out of his age just because he has different opinion

why do you say that? being honest in 2 years time JC aint geting any better and i personally can only see Carl gettin better. JC will be 36 and way past it. If you read what i said....i said the longer he leaves it the more chance carl has of winning. I DIDNT SAY HE WOULD LOSE! i would just favour carl better. It will be a lot harder for JC to take on carl in 2 years, than he did now.
and why dont i have any knowledge?
Maybe cuz your post gives the impression that you don't know S*** about boxing. Read your post again. See how foolish it is.
Being honest why is it foolish? its just the truth when you think about it. You probs dont like Carl thats is why you dont belive he can be a 168 champ! which i think he can.
right froch has horrible defense he leave his hands down all time and calzaghe would murder froch and i see your other post that you said he called out calzaghe ect because he knows calzaghe isnt interested in him at this point in his career and he knows he wont fight him calzaghe has quick hands and alot of workrate and froch leave his hands down all time not good combo against guy like calzaghe froch hasnt beaten any world class opps at moment until he does he is overrated hype machine

Froch's defense is underratted. His leaving his hands down has nothing to do with a technical flaw, rather it's a deliberate tactic on his part to bait his opponents in. They don't call him the Cobra for nothing!
I really really like Froch, he's hands down the most exciting fighter in Britain right now in my opinion (Khan excluded) The way he fights is exciting and dramatic. He likes to show contempt for his opponents ability to hurt him and that adds drama to his fights.
I think a fight between him and Calzaghe would be awesome. I think Calzaghe could outwork Froch and win a decision but if one of them was going to get knocked out I'd put my money on it not being the Cobra.
He takes a punch, is strong as an ox, has bags of stamina and can take a guy out with one punch.
Probably my favourite British fighter at the moment.

Oh Yes you know it. Everyone is running scared of the Cobra. A lot of peaple are going to be eating a lot of Humble Pie when Froch is Champ.
Plus Froch supports Forest so he has got to be Hard.

Froch was due to fight lacy as amature in England v USA bill. Lacy pulled out.
Froch wouldnt need to hit Lacy 1200 times.

Problem is no one wants to fight The Cobra. Hes never been hurt or tired in his career. Yes he mouths off at times but to be fair has always backed it up in the ring and could knock out Calzaghe or Kessler with either hand.
Manfredo Jr gets a shot and hes nothing but a Gameshow loser who lost to Light Welterweight Alfonzo Gomez.
Yes Calzaghe is fighting someone who has lost to someone same size as Junior Witter. This is a complete Joke.
Everyone is Running Scared. Will end up winning WBC belt from Kessler as mandatory while Calzaghe fights guys smaller than him.
Brian Magee is a good fighter who was due to fight Calzaghe a while back. Froch proper sparked him out.
You dont rate him cos you dont like him. FACT.
Nobody liked Chris Eubank cos of percieved arrogange. Until he beat up Benn. Froch is Number one SMW.
Are you Carl Froch? You sound just like him ;D
No mate but iv followed Froch since 2002. and have been involved in boxing for years. Froch is the Real Deal.
I Just speak the truth. Same as Froch.
Forest Till I Die.
Re: How good is Carl Froch?
Oh I see.
This whole Froch hype is a Forest thing - Has nothing to do with boxing whatsoever.
Thanks for enlightening me. I was puzzled by it.

Thats like saying Ricky Hatton is a Man City Thing.
Froch is not Hype. Ken Clarke is a Forest Fan Doesnt mean Id vote Conservative does it. Froch could Support Derby and I still say same.

How good is Carl Froch?
IWO...he's good enough to put up a half ass fight against Kessler...but not good enough to be competitive against Calzaghe.
He aint nearly as great as his fans want you to think he is...plus...he's a bit of a prick. ;D
Re: How good is Carl Froch?
The Cobra is awesome! If he is managed in the right way he could be the next big thing at SMW.
He should...but won't (due to politics)...mash that mug Gogiya's face into the mat and take the European belt, then be looking at Brute, Green or possibly Kessler...these guys are not too far off his radar.
He needs to up the pace now tho!

It's a step up from Dodson i know that. I think CF will stop this fighter and will be left in a commanding position to succed further. I would be angry if CF steps down and fights a nobody but he is working his way up there and it will come. A bigger fight for his next fight should get him there. VD if he does step up and beats 2-3 higher oppanants do you not think he is worthy to fight for a 168 strap? he will have one of the best records. A fight against CF for JC would surely be bigger if he has those names of his record?

ICB he is a fighter who fights with his hands down and so far it aint looked to be so much of a problem! The bigger fights for Froch will come soon, and we can really see what he is made of. When people start to doubt CF that is when he shows he is a fighter. He has improved a lot over the years and i really think it will show on the higher levels. I dont understand why you think he is overhyped though! who has hyped him to become over hyped being honest?
Re: How good is Carl Froch?
very very good fighter.
i just hope he gets a title fight soon cos hes been hanging round the domestic scene way too long

I, along with many others, think that KEssler just aint got the pedigree to beat Froch.
Carl Froch fought as a middleweight in an amateur show over in Copenhagen and came 1st. He would have no probs with fighting over there again.
I believe Carl has exactly the right blend of talent & power to beat Mikkel Kessler - let's be honest, Froch would be a nightmare for any boxer to face, he's just too weird to figure out.
I have seen around 15 fights of his - and he has so many styles i cant figure out what he's gonna do.
Sometimes he comes forward, sometimes he's cagey, sometimes he jabs, sometime he just looks for the big shot... wheras Kessler, although very very good - only seems to have a kind of stand-up style which is almost amatuerish (even though he has no pedigree as an amatuer) and thats why i think Carl could figure him out and beat him.
Carl has sparred a lot with Eric Teymour - a guy who recently sparred with Kess and dumped him on his ass - and Teymour has stated that Froch is a much bigger puncher and difficult to suss out.
Froch has said he always let's his spar's win - incase he ever faces them.
Kreshnik Qato sparred with him last year and Carl let him have it all his own way... but gave him a taste of his power and Qato soon backed off.

Yes Kessler does stick to his style, that has worked perfectly so far (against better opposition than Froch i might add).
By the way what do you actually know about Kessler's amateur record? and what would in your opinion be "amateur-pedigree".
Keep in mind that Kessler only had 44 amateur fights. He last fought as an amateur when he was 18, so that limits the amount of accomplishments possible. But do you know anything about what he actually did accomplish or are you just guessing?
Re: How good is Carl Froch?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2001_Wo..._Championships
Froch was outpointed in the World Amateur Boxing Championships against a guy called Goglov - Froch nearly KO'd him in the first round - but Gogolov beat the count. Froch admitted prior to the fight his elbow was seized & very sore. Gogolov won the show outright afterwards. All the pundits agreed that Froch, without the injury would have won the show.
Kostya Tyszu, Pernell Whitaker, Wilfredo Gomez - not many others in the Pro game have medalled in the World Championships.
The British boxing scene was so impressed with Froch that the BBC decided to show Froch's pro debut - they shown all his fights until something like the 11th or 12th - before offering the riduculous £1,000,000.00 to Audley Harrioson, to show his first clutch of fights - wiping out the BBC's boxing budget.
They thought that with Audley's win at the Olympics, it would generate bigger viewing figures - how wrong they were!!
The BBC should have stuck watching a genuine Pro talent, develop from an embryonic state to a potential world champion.
With regards fighting Kessler? ..... Mikkel gets all the props in the world from me and is an outstanding professional talent (amateur career aside).
It would be brutal whilst it lasts - i'm sure Carl has far more respect for Mikkel than Calzgahe....
...Kess & Froch share the same opinion on Joe it would seem from their constant press releases!
