Here's the thing...I agree with Peter's team...right is right & wrong is wrong...but this is boxing...& rules are meant to be broken.
Vitali was & still is such a big part of the heavyweight division...even though he's been gone for so long. If I were Peter & I had as much confidence in myself as he does...I'd step aside, take the 2.5 mill, fight some chump, & then take a crack at the winner for a 50-50 split.
Peter will find it hard to make that much cash in a year's time...no matter what other route he travels or any other situation.
$2.5 million is a boatload of cash.
No shame in stepping aside for such...if he does anything less...I'll think that he's foolish...but it's his career, not mine.
Thing is...stop & look at it this way...the 2.5 coupled with the possibility of a future clash against Vitali would be jaw dropping & would/could bank roll him for life.
If Maskaev were to win...& that's a shot in the dark, IWO, then Peter would probably have an easier night with him than the Klit.
Fuk your precious Klitschko Wacko! ;D Peter deserves this shot and should get it, NO MATTER WHAT.
Alright...that's it!
Just for that...I hope that your street thug, car stealing ex-luvah, Mayorga is getting his ear tugged & being forced to squeeeeeeeeeeeeel like a pig Ned Beatty style in some dirty Nicaraguan jail cell to a badly sang karaoke version of Mariah Carrey's latest album.
How's that my big green friend? You gotdam right I like you when your'e angry. Heh heh heh.
Hope all ya want. Mayorga don't get punked he does the punking. Nobody is gonna fuk with him in there, first off its jail not prison, and secon off, he's one of the baddest MF's in the whole country of Nicaragua. And once he gets outta jail, he's gonna kick Fernando Vargas's punk ass.
p.s. Fuk the Klitschkos.

Re: MODIFIED!!! MUST READ!!! Time is running out for Sam Peter's Jackpot offer!!!
Imagine if Toney had won those fights instead of Peter and the WBC were doing this to him. Talk about a shit storm...
Re: MODIFIED!!! MUST READ!!! Time is running out for Sam Peter's Jackpot offer!!!
And now this comes out...
Lennox Lewis comeback?
Former heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis is reportedly considering coming out of retirement for a world championship rematch with Vitali Klitschko. The bout could take place at the newly contructed Wembley Stadium in late September and early November and purses in the $25 million range are being mentioned. Promoter Bob Arum told the Daily Mail, "No matter how often a boxer says he will never come back, the money always talks louder in the end if the offer is big enough. I am told Lennox is back in the gym and this is an enormous fight in the making." For Lewis-Klitschko II to take place, Vitali would have to first defeat WBC champ Oleg Maskaev. WBC president Jose Sulaiman said Lewis would be granted "champion emeritus" status, which according to WBC rules could give Lewis an immediate shot at the title, bypassing hard luck mandatory challenger Sam Peter yet again. Peter has won two WBC eliminators and his handlers are currently mulling over a $2.5 million step-aside offer for Klitschko-Peter to take place. Arbitration on that matter could be next.
Hey Jose Suliman :fyou:

Re: MODIFIED!!! MUST READ!!! Time is running out for Sam Peter's Jackpot offer!!!
Peter should just take the money. Taking legal action sounds to me like a loosing battle. This really is a loose-loose situation were looking at here.
I have a question for everyone.. Its my understanding that Peter has paid a lot of money to be ranked by WBC. But is there an estimated figure that anyone knows of?
Also how would Peters step aside fee be affected if Peter went to another alphabet orginisation and paid sanctions (with what would effectively be WBC's money).
What im getting at is Sam Peter is WBO's No.2
http://www.fightnews.com/rankings2.htm
So would he maybe get an easier title fight with the WBO, while possibly paying cheaper sanctioning fee's (with WBC's money... Hey, he may even make a profit! ::**) while still looking at the same kinda waiting time for a fight?
Its not ideal but its something that kinda sticks one up at Jose Sullieman.
Then again im probably being completely nieve about this. The politics of boxing is way over my head.
I cant even understand the meaning of purse bids :P

Yeah but...I mean if I paid 200 grand to get something...I'm not just going to drop it. The WBC is wrong with all this emeritus crap. At first it was a joke "Oh yeah, well then I guess LL has emeritus too ;D" but now this Suliman clown says that that is true.
