Hes a great guy.
Any great fighter in the last fights of their career, getting beaten by some no mark as if they were journeymen i.e. Ali, Joe Louis, SRR, Tyson, Sweet Pea, Benn etc
Honourable Mention to Smoking Joe for the Thriller in Manila, there was the classic fight with no loosers. For someone to go through that much, to give what he gave and to loose in the way he did is heartbreaking. Fights like this are what make boxing great, don't begrudge them a penny of what they earn.
Leavander Johnson passing away for me. I've been a dedicated fan over the last 2/3 years and not missed many fights, I was watching that one and you just knew something was up, I hated the match-up and I actually said on the rickyhitmanhatton.com forum, Johnson is way too old for this, and I was sadly correct. the last 3 rounds of that fight made me want to throw up, I don't know what the ref and his corner were thinking. RIP Leavander Johnson.
for me was after 2.5 rounds of kicking the crap outta Iran Barkley , Tommy Hearns getting koed
was so hard to take as Hearns is my all time favorite fighter :(
In my first amateur bout (I was 11st 6 my opponent was 12st 2 I boxed my last two bouts at 10st 9 and 10st 12) I knocked my opponent down with a left hook with the first punch of the fight. I then started swearing at him and refused to go to a neutral corner. The ref was going to disqualify me for disobeying him. Eventually after about 20 seconds I went to a neutral corner and the ref picked my opponent up and I blanked out till the end of the second round. I got stopped in the 3rd on my feet. My opponent boxed about 14 times stopped 12 opponents lost one on a cut and one on disqualification.Quote:

Never had a sad moment though... Maybe if i was a fan of Herol Graham.

Ali v Holmes
Tyson Ear biting
Leonard V Camacho
Duran in the 90's
Tyson.... the last ten years!
Aaron Pryor 1985
MAB-Nasim Hamed . . . .
Yeah right.
;D
Ali-Holmes,
Boom Boom Mancini-Duk Koo Kim. Of course other tragedies happened in the ring since then, but I saw that one, in my youth.
Yeh that was a real bummer.. Thats one thing i liked about the original contender..Even though alot of it was commercialised and off point of the boxing ..It really gave an insight to the people..Quote:

Very sad to hear when someone commits suicide.. Alot of people were very upset..
I was more angry..Cos honestly..I dont agree with suicide.. What does it accomplish..
Your dead so you feel nothing more.. Just anguish for your family and friends..
Suicide is a terrible thing..
It was very hard to watch roberto duran fight twenty years past his best..
Hated to see the likes of camacho, pazienza and joppy especially taking advantage of his name when they must know it means nothing but you beat a washed up fighter..
But at the same time i understood it completely..As duran is a born fighter..Its all he knows and it puts food on his table..
When Tyson went apeshit and bit off Holyfield's ear and they DQ'ed him. I lost money on the bastard who was looking good up until his mental breakdown. This was when I realized Tyson's career was really really slipping to it's twilight. As a big Tyson fan growing up, this was one of the most disappointing moments for me in boxing. That shit where he quit against Kevin Mcbride is up there too. WTF happened to this guy? He was headed for legendary status...Quote:

His subsequent actions turned me off him for good .
Naz versus Barrera
Watched it at the same mates house . Remember the amazing dissapointment and having to get the bus home on the beautifull April morning .
I also remember that fight because my mate fell asleep during the undercard and i was on a small sofa with his wife who was wearing a nightie that barely covered the top of her wonderfull legs and had what seemed to be erect nipples . Whats more she kept making me hot chocolate and and and and bending over ever so seductively in front of me giving the Bristols a good airing when she put it on the coffee table in front of me .
She kept asking me how much the the fighters got paid and how she loved the way i made eye contact .
Really was a monster wank when i got home . ( and about the next 3000)
Also i remember Paul Ingles last fight .
I was absolutely convinced he was going to lose and i remember Botile landing a left hook in the 1st ten seconds and switching the TV off and going for abath . After that i watched Calzaghe - Woodhall with the sound off i had a horrible horrible premonition.
But the one thing that stank in the mind was Scott Lansdowne - Steve Spartacus .
Watching somebody you knew wellish freeze in front of a York Hall crowd was not pleasent .
For me it was Benn/McClellan....The anticipation on what was wrong with Gerald was horrible...then the end result....I always watch that fight and wonder exactly which punch is the one that did the actual damage
just of the top of my head......
i was dissapionted when toney lost to rachman(spelling) :-\
i almost cried when tyson lost to mcbride and williams :'(....i was so depressed that night at the club and my mates are like what the fuk is wrong with you....and i didnt bother explaining it to them, they wouldnt understand cause they have no idea tyson used to be one off the all time greats....they only know the rapist and ear biter :-\....but yall be pleased to know i have since educated them and shown them all of his prime fights...now they sing a different tune ;D my mate matt came over one night for a couple of beers and i whacked on some old tyson fights,i put on the spinks fight first, after watching that for a whole 91 seconds our fellings were mutual in regards to the williams-mcbride atrocities ;)
......mcclelan-benn still makes me feel sick every time i watch it
......ali-holmes :(
.....tyson-holmes made me very happy ;D
....tyson-douglas all though i was 12 at the time,i was more in shock than anything,i didnt say a word for like 2 hrs cause i was convinced that tyson was some indistructible super being
......future reference-ODLH-PBF will be sad cause oscar will lose :( but i hope im terribly wrong on this one
Keith Mullings-Terry Norris- Norris got old in a matter of rounds
This was the first thing that came to my mind as well.Quote:

Same can eb said for Nas . I always wanted him to lose and and I always said it was Barrera . Right back to when Nas first joined sky I said a guy named teh Baby faced assassin will ruin Naseem and when it finally happend all them years later it felt so good to be able to say I told you so
Thanks for sharing that with usQuote:
