Totally disagree. While I think that Austin is a joke...he was the top spot for a reason...he did have the ranking & that's enough...also...he's another mandatory out of the way & now negotiations can begin.

Wlad did what he should have....but I would have rather seen him fight someone else, that is sure. Briggs is a punk and he needs to hurry up and fight or be stripped!

I could see Oleg Maskaev knocking Wlad out, but I doubt they will fight. Peter will get him first, or Vitali possibly. Oleg is not that bad of HW though the more I think about it. Especially compared to Austin.

Oleg isn't that bad but he's old and only truly effective when other fighters brawl with him AND Oleg can take their power......let us not forget he was knocked out of the ring vs Kirk Johnson.

How bad is Austin? That double jab he was trying to throw was the ugliest, most akward looking thing I've ever seen.

I don't even get what he was trying to do, outbox Wlad? He had no chance, the only thing he could have done was try to bumrush Wlad and catch him. Even then there was like a 99.99% chance he was gonna get knocked out, but at least he had a very slight punchers chance. He didn't even throw a serious power punch, just that pitiful jab.

Good for Wlad though to go ahead and end it, at the end of the first I thought he might be too patient and let that go on into the middle rounds.
