All good points bro, but no one has figured him out yet... & lets not forget Pacheco was one skilled little guy, way more so than Arce! Vic punishes Arce IMO.
Pacheco was a very skilled fighter. But he was also an inactive one. By the time Vic fought him he was no longer in his prime. Arce has shown he can take a shot. Vic hasn't.

Well me I'm from planet earth, just last week I was ringside at Vic vs. Burgos and I can tell by the time Vic cocks back his punch and then decides to throw that punch is telegraphed......
During the fight I think I saw him throw about 3 or 4 combos in the entire fight......

I'm sure he did but at this stage in Burgos career in my and many peoples opinions there wasn't much he could do to avoid them, he tried and at times suceed it but for the most part did not....
There was times where Vic kept his hand cocked back for like 6 seconds or so while he waited for the right time to throw his punch but like I said at this stage Burgos couldn't dodge a beach ball....
On some good news for those who don't know yet Burgos came out of surgery well and has responded well this was last week.....

Sorry to say champ, BUT Vic could keep his hand cocked for 2 minutes, he will still hit Arce and HURT Arce! Vic could even give Arce his fight plan before the fight! Arce will be KO'd! Very good news to hear Burgos is doing well, and hopes he is back fully fit and healthy soon. 8)

Why would he fight Parra when he could fight 22-4 Jimenez instead? Parra fights all over the world. In his opponents back yard. Let's see Vic do something like that.

I was glad to hear that too. I guess that's a fair call particularly from someone who was at the fight. I gues knowing a punch is going to be thrown and stopping it are 2 separate things. We will have to wait to see then how Arce does in this respect if what you say is accurate.

Marquez ain't that much naturally bigger, he's only ever fought as high as feather, Vic has fought at the bantam limit on a number of occasions earlier in his career which has been Marquez' fighting weight for the majority of his fights. Pacheco who Darchinyan defeated is now fighting at 118 & in my opinion will defeat Gonzalez in their upcoming bout. So I see no reason for the weight to make a huge difference for Vic.
Remember guys like Greb, Walker & Langford (you can even put in Hopkins recently) fought & beat guys @ higher weights!

Oh my gosh,people are actually thinking Vic can beat P4P top 4 Rafa Marquez? That is quite possibly one of the dumbest things I have ever heard :-X ??? ::** . He fought one of the P4P hardest hitters in vAZquez and won. He's been in wars with much better fighters than Darchinyan. Where is the proof of his weak chin?

Look at his record 3 loses by K.O, sure his 1st was a stupid fight to take but the last to Garcia was in about his 24th fight. Apart from Austin & Johnson & now Vasquez his competition has never been against the top 2 or 3 guys in the division. I'm not saying Vic's has but Johnson was way past his best & thats a fact & Austin you could argue was stale from inactivity.
Marquez ain't #4 P4P in my book maybe yours, 7 is more like it for me. Give Darchinyan his chance to make a splash... hey if a guy with 3 k.o. loses on his record can make P4P theres a chance for Vic!!!

Usually I would not label something dumb but when one is advocating an opinion based entirely on a fighters nationality,as many of you Darchinyan fans are, rather than actually looking at the skills of a fighter,that is exactly what it is....dumb.
Rafa has fought MUCH MUCH better competition than Vic,he's fought at least 6 ring top 10 fighters,beat 2 legends in Tim Austin and Mark Johnson,beat one of the top 3 fighters in the division,Silence Mabuza twice,went up and fought the champion and beat him too. You obviously have not seen that Rafa stoppage,he took a knee,and had a communication error with his corner,before he knew it,the ref had counted to 10.
Rafa has better technique than Vic,has fought much better fighters,better combinations,KO power in BOTH hands,is quicker,better defence,bigger,etc etc. So how exactly does Vic win?
Look at my points,logical,coherent,and I use evidence to support my points rather than Marquez has the perfect stlye for Vic to exploit.Where is the basis for a ridiculous statement like that?

Marquez a P4P fighter a natural Bantam has fought the best opposition available for him to face......
Nothing against Vic cause I think the guy is a fighter he'll stand there and trade and go toe to toe BUT I think at this time as of TODAY it's pretty safe to say that Marquez is the better fighter and would have his way with a much smaller less skilled fighter like Vic.....
No doubt Vic is accomplishing good things now as we speak but all you have to do is look at opposition and their skills and it's pretty easy to see the difference.... Vic still has some road to cover before we can have him beating one of the best P4P in the world.....

Firstly I don't know why your using nationality, Vic fights out of Oz, I'm a kiwi. If you know anything about this side of the world you would know their is a huge rivalry between Kiwis & Aussies. So using nationality is out.
Mabuza was raked #5 both times Marquez fought him for the record. But I agree he is a top fighter! But as I said Austin was inactive & Johnson was over the hill.
I give credit to Marquez for defeating Vasquez who indeed was the 112 champion but in my opinion Vasquez was not the best fighter in the division. I'd rate that as Caballero before Marquez arrived. Another thing for the record out of Marquez' last 12 opponents 11 have been rated in the rings top 10. I love Rafael as a fighter & feel he is one of only a few guys out there that regularly fight the best competition.
I have seen the Garcia stoppage, & I'll admit Marquez did look pretty clear eyed but the fact of the matter is he did not take a knee for the fun of it... he looked hurt prior to that! Also take a look @ the Austin fight, to me it looked as if Marquez was on his way out before he landed that big shot in the 8th. I'm not saying Vic has the same skills as Austin but I feel he will be able to discourage him to the same extent.
I also saw Rafael struggle on numerous instances with Vargas who like Vic is a southpaw but doesn't hit anywhere as hard. I feel Marquez & Darchinyan would go at it toe to toe. I think Vic would land that big left on several occasions to both the body and head, I feel Vic would win the fight by wearing Rafael down & taking him out late.
P4P I feel Vic hits harder than Marquez & 10 pounds ain't gonna change that in my opinion.

Vic has good power, but he's not a one punch knock out artist. Marquez is. Vic gets his knock outs by breaking his opponents down. Marquez can end it with one punch. For someone to say Vic is the harder hitter is foolish. Marquez has a higher knock out percentage rate. Plus he's shown his power has moved up in weight with him. Marquez can take Vic's punches. But there is no way Vic can take Marquez's punches.

I feel Vic power will carry with him on the way up, I'll agree he hasn't scored many one punch knock outs but he seems to enjoy breaking opponents down. He'll throws a he'll of a lot of good shots to the body.
Vic does throw a lot of good shots to the body. And he leaves that chin wide open. Marquez cracks him it's over. That simple.
Yeah sweet bro, but thats the beauty of this game... anything can happen. I don't think it's as simple as that. Marquez ain't no defensive genius either! If Vic catches him he will also hurt Marquez IMO!
I think Marquez will feel Vic's punches. But that's about it. If Austin and Vazquez who are harder hitters than Vic couldn't stop him. Than Vic can't either. And there's no doubt Marquez can stop Vic. Just look at his resume. Mark Johnson, Tim Austin, Mauricio Pastrana, Silence Mabuza, Heriberto Ruiz. All fighters who had never been stopped before until they ran into Marquez. Vic will suffer the same fate if he's foolish enough to get in the ring with Marquez.

We'll have to agree to disagree my friend. I feel Austin also broke down fighters. Johnson was never a huge puncher in my eyes. The Ruiz ko was a beauty... anyone hit by that shot would have gone! I'll give you Pastrana (but was well past his best days) & Mabuza (still slightly green). But I think Vic would have taken out both as well!!!
Remember Johnson fought the majority of his career at 112 & would have beaten Marqeuz in the 1st had he not lost points for holding. I know Johnson was more skilled technically than Darchinyan but I think Vic's power evens things out.
This would definitely be a fight I would be interested in seeing.

Wasn't this about Arce v Vic??
But keep it up i'm enjoying this one. It seems that there is quite a lot of interest in who Vic can compete with. Let's hope some of these match up's actually occur.

Johnson was fortunate not to get DQ'd in their 1st meeting soo having the point dedcuction is the least he could have gotten.....

Things like that can be easily said, just as easy I can say that without Johnson holding on for dear life Marquez would have knocked him out...
