I'm definately not a Barrera hater, far from, the guy is brilliant, one of the great talents of the division. It's just THIS fight at THIS stage of his career. Gotta go with how I picture it in my head. Marquez is about due his career defining performance.

Fair enough guys , ive just never seen Marco getting beaten when he is 100% and theres no reason to suggest he wont be 100% this Saturday .

Everything about this fighttells you that its a career defining moment for both men . Its not like Marco can turn up casual like he did against Pedan or Pac . Here he will be focused like he was in the rematch with Juarez and the 3rd fight with Erik. They couldnt deal with it , neither can Marquez IMO.

This has the potential to be fight of the year imo and MAB has stated recently that he can't box Marquez so he's going all out to "Fight Him"

I am so glad that they have put this one on sky live....my mum won't be seeing me on mother's day at least until mid-afternoon, i won't wake up till then. I reckon Barrera might just have a little more left in the old gastank after they've both had long glittering careers, but could go either way and it depends on who gets it right on the night.

I reckon this will eb a better one than the over-hyped, and inevitably disappointing MAyweather-De La Hoya fight.

Here's what's gotten me...I'm sitting here (drinking no less...on a cold Saturday...mid day no less.) watching the Marquez, Barrera, Pacquiao trilogy (I'm sticking with Marquez.) & realizing that no matter what Marquez does...HBO refused to recognize it to the degree of Pac's wild misses.

Amazing.

Marquez has shown much much better since his fight with Pac than Barrera has in all his comps & also...Marquez gave Pac hell from round 5 on. He nuetralized the majority of his shots & in the 11th & 12th he went toe to toe war in a slugfest that rivaled Morales Barrera matches...no matter what anyone says...watch it again.

It was a war. He took the 11th & 12th big.

He should own Barrera unless he fights like a tard over a lollipop.

oh by the way im leaning towards JMM by SD. just cuz JMM is due for his props actually way over due. I like MAB, but its JMM's time and seems JMM is bit more hungrier in my opinion.

Also personally id rather see Pac rematch JMM for all the drama and contraversy of the their first fight.
