Yes i do Kostya Tszyu struggled with swarming fighters take Vince Phillips for example who hammered Kostya Tszyu and if Phillips can beat him then one of the best swarmers of all time Aaron Pryor certainly can Kostya Tszyu operates best at mid distance in close quarters his struggles.

When Aaron Pryor fought Bobby Joe Young he was having drug problems just look when he is counting with the time keeper he obviously had demons at that time i think its very unfair to bring up that fight.
Re: Aaron Pryor vs Ricky Hatton
ssss Take your point, but to be Honest I could never take to Aaron. I thought he was very well managed, a good fighter but not Great in my eyes, a lot of it was smoke and mirrors. Never Boxed a great Fighter a the Top of there game, my opinion.

Thats fine sometimes you don't take to certain fighters im not really Aaron Pryor fan but i do think he was one of the best Jr Welterweights of all time but thats just my opinion we will never know though because his career got cut short.
Re: Aaron Pryor vs Ricky Hatton
Armstrong as a welter was mostly at 138, He was a great lt welter ;D
Re: Aaron Pryor vs Ricky Hatton
I don't think Pryor was unbeatable at 140.....but if he was only fighting Ricky Hatton then......Aaron Pryor was unbeatable at 140 ;D
Ricky Hatton is a good solid 140 fighter but he has trouble with pure boxers and more recently is having trouble fighting period. All time I think Ricky gets beat more often than not....nothing against Ricky but the greats all-time at 140 and 135 are pretty friggin deep with talent.
I wish we could have seen a Hatton-Corrales fight at 140 or even a Hatton-Gatti fight at 140

Arguello was a truly great fighter - but if you want to see how tough Aaron Pryor was, look at the right hand he takes in the 13th round (second last round) of that fight. That right hand would have KO'd just about any other guy who ever lived yet Pryor shrugged it off and came out and stopped Arguello in the next round.
Toughest, most relentless guy I ever saw was Aaron Pryor.
But let's not forget that Hatton isn't even 30 yet - he still has time to improve and put on career defining performances. But it's my fear that Hatton's best years may already be behind him - and he spent too much of those toiling against sub par opponents.
While I agree with most everyone that Pryor would beat Hatton, probably stop him, I can't agree with Pryor knocking out Chavez. I think Chavez could hold his own against Aaron Pryor if not beat his ass.
Re: Aaron Pryor vs Ricky Hatton
Pryor could have been beaten by a number of guys at 140 (some of whom completely skipped that division)
Re: Aaron Pryor vs Ricky Hatton
Aaron Pryor was king of a lackuster divsion and never beat that great of fighters that were his size or started near his weight. People say he was Sugar Ray Leonard but if that was the truth why would he fight Hearns who about ended him. Aaron was calling out Leonard but did nothing to warrent a shot at him. Then he was beat when he went up in weight sure was older but then he took so long to move up to real division and in doing so missed out on becoming a real legend. He would beat Hatton i think but Pryor never beat any one in prime that was a elite so i think people over ratting him a lot to me he was a king of a nothing division and well never be looked at like the Hearns,Benitez,Hagler,Duran and the great Leonard.
Re: Aaron Pryor vs Ricky Hatton
As a Hatton fan I was a TRUE Pryor fan...
Ricky "Hamburger" Hatton would be put through the meatgrinder that is Aaron Pryor... Hell, Hatton wouldn't have beaten Arguello either and he lost to Aaron... twice.
