I had Joval 5 rounds, Gibbs 4 rounds, 1 round draw
Joval 96
Gibbs 95
Joval UD 96-94 97-93 97-3, Well Gibbs has something to work with..I thought he put up a good fight. I'm not arguing at all with the decision. He had some moments there where he looked good defensively..if he didnt get rocked early might have been different. Joval looked ok but he was very hittable all night, pretty good chin tho, hes never been stopped and hes been in there with some top guys. Great fight tho. Hes probably in line for a big fight soon, he better make some moves quick hes not gettin any younger.
I didn't see any hunger or desire in Gibbs....
Surely I would have thought he fight his heart out tonight... I don't think he did. ???
He wanted to but his legs wouldnt let em, he was off balance all night.I dont know how you improve in that area, but he need to take a shot better, or not get hit with a good shot. Once you clock him a good one, he's pretty much done, not good if you wanna do anything against top class fighters.I dont know if he should continue but I think he has or had potential, whatever the case may be.
I'm too emotional distraught to speak on this. All I'll say is...
This is why I never go "All in."
Gibbs just doesn't look right, his legs are shot. Have looked that way since the Edouard fight, its just lucky Joval can't punch at all.
I had it for Joval easy, gave Gibbs three rounds and thought I was being generous on one of them.
Gibbs has never really had good legs under him. Versus Edward i was worried for his wellbeing the way his legs before getting stopped. That was a scary fight. Hes a good fighter but not world class by any means imo. His heart will only get him so far
Gibbs is a good guy and a pretty good fighter, he just doesn't look like he'll ever be world class. It's a shame, but not everyone can be a world beater, regardless of who they are related to, or how tough they are. Gibbs really looked flat, he never got going in that fight. Joval for his part, being 38, he looked very determined he was in Gibbs's face all night, constantly throwing punches. He's not a top fighter either, but maybe he'll get another good pay day off that showing. He clearly won the fight, maybe losing 2 or 3 rounds. Disapointing for Gibbs, I dunno where he goes from here. I like both guys goin in, so good for Joval is what I say. :)
