This is why MMA is more rewarding to watch,when do you ever,I mean ever,have any question who won the fight or paid off bullshit just to have rematch money be made?Money has boxing fucked up!

I'm not interested in a blood sport, just more action. They were both equally tentative in the ring. For me, it made for a boring boxing match. Neither deserves to be an all time great with this performance. The all time great were boxers and fighters.

Oscar had multiple rounds with single digit punches landed. He looked desperate and I knew he was going to lose when he had a steady stream of drool running from his mouth.

why is everyone shedding a negative light on this? They're not saying "Floyd won in oscar country so the decision is wrong" something came to their attention and they're double checking to see that everyone's card was filled out the way that that person intended to score the fight.

Yup. Jerry Roth gave the 12th round to Mayweather and the other two judges gave it to Oscar. If Roth would have given it to Oscar, it would have been a draw. Kinda like Duane Ford and B-Hop - JT I. Except I think the 12th was closer than that fight.

I have to agree with pdubulous on that one.

12 round and no scratches? :0)

Even boxers agree. If a boxer knocks his/her opponent out, they jump on ropes, back flip and get happier than hell. If they outpoint their opponent by a few rounds then they're just regular happy. These guys took very little risks and produced what I felt was a boring fight.

It was a great fight for boxing fan and an OK fight for a casual fan IMO. People want blood baths but boxing shouldn't be about that. These guys put on a pretty good show. I felt like Floyd really could have been more active in the last four rounds though. Oscar was open for a whooping but Floyd was being bit too careful IMO. Floyd has total confidence in his defense but I think he isn't as confident as he should be in his offense. His punches looked hard tonight, if he buckled down and dug to ODLH's body, he could have stopped him.

Well if it was tallied incorrectly I bet you my house that Oscar would take it with a bit more dignity if it was in Floyd's favour, rather than the other way around.

The only mistake on the scorecards was the judge scoring the fight for De La Hoya, 4 or 5 round discrepancy.

Although i personally had mayweather winning by a point..

I think its a real kick in the nuts as i find no way of disputing that oscar won the last round...

And it would have been hella nice for oscar to get the draw..Much better then the loss..
And maybe a rematch would follow..

Roth is renound for giving rounds to the other guy and it ending in controversy.. Just random rounds that end up affecting the fight big time..

I mean..Not that i agree oscar beat trinidad..But Roth's scorecard is insane in that fight..
