If Cotto comes out the way he did against Urkal, then Zab IS going to upset him.
Dear god here we go.....
Let's not forget that if the Zab that beat Spinks shows up on this night he'll demolish Cotto.... ::**

Those fast hands of Zab won't keep Cotto away for 12 yes Zab is fast but im sure Cotto will get to him in the end its not like Zab is super hard to hit and im sorry but Zab has always fallen short at top level and against power punchers Zab will have some success in early going with his speed but those hard rib breaking body shots of Cotto will get to Zab and wear him down and Cotto will stop him in 10.

There is something you can't help but like about Starr. She is a loyalist.
-
Re: Is Wacko the only one who thinks that Cotto vs Judah has upset stamped on it?
It's just ridiculous Starr. Judah has had, count them, 1 single showing against good competition. One. Cotto has slipped up once against lesser opposition that didn't carry the importance this fight does. Cotto has passed all of his test so far, Zab is failing. Cotto can come in after a night of chain smoking and drinking, unless Zab does something he has only done ONE TIME in his career, Cotto wins.
What you should have said is
If Cotto comes out the way he did against Urkal, then Zab IS going to upset him IF he is the way he was against Spinks the SECOND time.

Re: Is Wacko the only one who thinks that Cotto vs Judah has upset stamped on it?
Its crazy, this fight has flip flopped in my mind so many times since it was announced, but I can't help but think Zab's gonna Blast Cotto out in this fight. At first I thought Cotto will knock Zab out because of his shaky chin,.....but I got this strange feeling that stays with me that Zab's gonna win BIG!!. And beleive me I'm no Zab fan, but I'll say this,.... on any given nite Zab could lose to any fighter, but also he may beat any fighter.

Re: Is Wacko the only one who thinks that Cotto vs Judah has upset stamped on it?
Judah thinks he's the shit on a silver platter but he's just a booger on a paper plate.
-
Re: Is Wacko the only one who thinks that Cotto vs Judah has upset stamped on it?
i remember thinking this fight would end with judah knocking the prospect out when it was first announced

Re: Is Wacko the only one who thinks that Cotto vs Judah has upset stamped on it?
Sure, Zab is supposedly running 8 miles a day and sparring ten rounds a day. That may be a little exaggerated, but I am sure Zab is training hard. How could he not? He, I am sure, has no choice because who wants to get KO'd by a devastating body snatcher like Cotto? You have to be prepared against that kind of competition. Thus, I do not expect less from Judah-he will be in shape and prepared. But two things that have not been discussed much. Why is Judah sparring against a lightweight and a junior welterweight? Cotto will weigh between 154 and 158 pounds on fight night. Shouldn't Judah spar against heavier guys? Also, Cotto weighs 154.5 pounds a month before the fight. That means that he is in great shape and has been training hard. Should be a great fight since both will be in shape.

Re: Is Wacko the only one who thinks that Cotto vs Judah has upset stamped on it
Hey Wack, I actually posted a couple months ago that IF Zab puts it all together on the night and boxes to the best of his ability that he not only could pull of the upset but that also it could be a near domination with him taking virtually every round.
Now I know it's asking a hell of a lot of Zab Judah to stay focused for 12 rounds but he does have the speed, the skill and the power to trouble Cotto.
Cotto is a really exciting fighter but he's a long way from perfect.
A master boxer will take him apart at some point in his career. I thought Quintana might have been able to do it but Cotto's sheer power was too much.
But we all saw feather fisted Malignaggi give him real problems for 12 rounds and his fight with Urkal was getting to the point of embarrasment for Cotto before team Urkal decided to retire their man in disgust at the refereeing in that fight.
I've got high hopes for Zab in this fight and really feel that he could put together the defining win of his career.
Unlike you though I've always liked Zab so I'll be cheering him on unreservedly to take Miguel apart :)

Re: Is Wacko the only one who thinks that Cotto vs Judah has upset stamped on it?
Cotto used a lot more then sheer power against Quintana. Cotto boxed beautifully that fight, slipped the jab beautifully, threw punches coming and and going out and really just took it to Quintana. If he can put on a performance like that against Zab, instead of wearing earmuffs walking in, Zab just doesn't have the tools to win imo.
I think Cotto at his best beats Judah at his best.

Re: Is Wacko the only one who thinks that Cotto vs Judah has upset stamped on it?
Judah without a doubt is more gifted as a fighter then Cotto...He has the speed,,The ring generalship,,the punch....but is missing the one thing needed if he gets popped and hits the deck...
Heart!!!!
As long as things are going Zabs way expect a masterful performence...the second Cotto has a good moment I think Zab will once again come loose at the seams and do something to ruin the night

Totally agree with the highlighted part...

HIGHLY over exaggerated....the Urkal fight was what??? You think that because Cotto did not break his face like he has done to all his other foes. Urkal has always been a tough SOB as evidenced in lasting a long time with Tszyu with an injured/fractured jaw. And the only rounds Paulie won v Cotto was were the ones Cotto took off. Anytime he put his foot on the gas,the fight was his.
You could say a master boxer will take Miguel apart but unless a match with Floyd is made, there are no better pure boxers at 147 than Quintana and may b Collazo. And I'd like to see how ANYONE at the weight would react to Cotto's rib breaking and face smashing shots....

Re: Is Wacko the only one who thinks that Cotto vs Judah has upset stamped on it?
I'm a Cotto fan, and I hate Zab. However, am I nervous about this fight? You bet your ass. Zab's a southpaw, he's fast, he can punch. If he catches Cotto cold in the first few rounds, Cotto will need all his survival skills to weather the storm.
And....... to top it all off, dumbass brother José has managed to create some UN-NEEDED controversy with his shenanigans at his fight last weekend. Miguel does NOT need this. He needs to be focused only on Zab and nothing else.
I'd love nothing better than for Cotto to shut that big mouth come June 9th. But it's not gonna be a walk in the park.
-
Re: Is Wacko the only one who thinks that Cotto vs Judah has upset stamped on it?
Cotto to knock him out. I don't give Zab a prayer...but then again, I'm not religious.
-
Re: Is Wacko the only one who thinks that Cotto vs Judah has upset stamped on it?
i've been picking Judah all of long
-
Re: Is Wacko the only one who thinks that Cotto vs Judah has upset stamped on it?
Judah blasts Cotto out early getting himself back in the mix. :)
-
Re: Is Wacko the only one who thinks that Cotto vs Judah has upset stamped on it?
If Baldomir can rock judah like he did, Cotto will KO him if he lands as clean a punch. I can see Cotto hammering the body all night then switching it upstairs from time to time. Zab is a good all rounder and he will catch Cotto but he has mental flaws that I think will come to haunt him yet again.
Hopefully both fighters will be at their best because if they are it will be really exiting viewing. I think it's a great match up.
-
Re: Is Wacko the only one who thinks that Cotto vs Judah has upset stamped on it?
I think this fight has upset written on it !
only its written in very small print.
Miguel will cash Judah out in 8. Zab don’t have the intangibles to win an aggressive match, strected over 12 round.. Hell no
-
Re: Is Wacko the only one who thinks that Cotto vs Judah has upset stamped on it?
Maybe I'm the only one that thinks it will be deja vu with Judah dancing around Cotto for half the fight until he gets a bit too comfortable and careless and gets caught with an infamous Cotto power-punch. The KO will lack the drama and humor of the Tszyu KO, but who needs that in this fight? Judah will probably have learned his lesson and will take the 8-count before resuming the fight, but by that time, the damage will be done. Lacking the will to dance around the ring anymore, he will be expecting the head-shots for the rest of the night to try and counter-punch, but will be met instead with body-shots that will take their toll.
Prediction: Cotto by late stoppage.
Note: why is anybody questioning Cotto's chin when the worse he was hit was in the temple (Torres caught him with a clean shot that brought Cotto down briefly and for the first time in his career) while Judah got the chin check of a lifetime and ended up warning Nady not to play with matches?
-
Re: Is Wacko the only one who thinks that Cotto vs Judah has upset stamped on it?
Cotto did look very chinny against Torres but I think a lot of that had to do with Cotto being severely weight drained, and Torres is definatly a banger, I think Cotto took that fight lightly but most elite fighters have had one shaky fight which they learned a lot from. He got nailed a few times by Quintana at 147 and took them very well. Judah has always looked fragile when hit and I doubt that will ever change. One things for sure though, in this fight both men have enough power to spark the other, but I'm absolutely 100% sure that Cotto will wear Judah down and pretty much annihilate him in the end.

:coolclick: I was really surprised people still think Judah has something after his last few performances. People criticise Hatton for the same thing but he won his fights. Cotto is too good, for me it'll be four fights without a win for Judah.

:coolclick: also what makes me laugh is that Judah goes round telling people they changed the Galvan contest to a KO win when it's still a NC!
