options
1) favorite to win by any means
2) underdog to win by any means
3) for the fight to go over (more than) a specified number of rounds regardless of the winner
4) for the fight to go under (less than) a specified number of rounds regardless of the winner
5) draw
6) no bet
to determine the payout multiply the bid by the factor.
a fightsheet will look like the following:
=============================
SAMPLE
5/23/07
10 rounds
Flyweight
Central Gym, Osaka, Japan
=============================
Koki Kameda = -1000 = 1/10 = Factor 0.1 <--------
14-0-0 (10 KOs)
http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=228103
----------------------------------------------------
Irfan Ogah = +650 = 13/2 = Factor 6.5
5-1-0 (3 KOs)
http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=226924
----------------------------------------------------
Over 8.5 = -125 = 4/5 = Factor 0.8
----------------------------------------------------
Under 8.5 = +150 = 3/2 = Factor 1.5
----------------------------------------------------
Draw = +4800 = 48/1 = Factor 48.0
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Wagers
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
So if you want to bet $5,000 on Koki then you multiply that by the factor 0.1
5000 x 0.1 = 500 (win from bet) + 5000 (monies wagered) = $5,500 total returned
If you lose you simply lose the monies wagered.
You stand to go up (if you win) in total monies $500 or go down (if you lose) $5,000
--------------------------------------------------------
Over/Under
By placing a wager on the over or under then you are betting
on how long the fight will last. In the above sample it says
Over 8.5 and Under 8.5 so in this case you are saying
the fight will last longer or less than 1 minute and 30 seconds
of the 9th round (8 full rounds and 1:30 into the ninth). These
are good bets to make when you have two power punchers
like Miranda / Pavlik on the Under, of if you have two pure
boxers hypothetical Mayweather / Spinks on the over.
--------------------------------------------------------
Draw
I'm pretty sure you understand this.
--------------------------------------------------------
Action Points
Every fight that you bet at least $1,000 on you get 1 action point.
Every fight that you go all-in with at least $5,000 you get 2 action points.
you want to have at least 10 action points by the end of the season
or you will be penalized.
---------------------------------------------------------
Income
for every action point you have you will get paid $100 a week
---------------------------------------------------------
Let me know if you have any specific questions.
