You guys are nuts ;)
I gotta give Pavlik his props, I didn't think the fight was gonna go the way it happened. He didn't look like a ghost in there, but he did a good job in pressuring Miranda back and taking away Miranda's weapons. Although a couple of times early in the fight you could see a couple of Miranda's hard right hands make the sweat fly off Pavlik's head, Pavlik did good on shortening it up, and hitting him when he was open. I wasn't convinced before but I could see Pavlik as being a good matchup against Tailor.
As for the Tailor/Spinks fight, enough has been said. I enjoyed the show of feints fast hands/feet for a while but that got old quick.
One fight does not make a career. He still has to step up to a higher level with Taylor. Taylor is a higher level than Miranda. Taylor has not found anyone yet to hit clean with his right hand , and remember he has a good right hand. Pavlik might be the guy who gets hit with it. Taylor can punch.Quote:

Taylor has a LOT to be worried about.Quote:

Taylor is also 6-1 and not the shorter guys who Pavlik has fought. Taylor is a big middleweight.Quote:

Plavik is a much better fighter than Pantera, who is physical better conditioned than Plavik, but I think that Plavik has to stay his size to continue to fight in his weight class, He could easily be a cruiserweight if he worked out any more, than he currently does. Plavik picked Pantera apart.
Neither fighter has any defense what so ever, which is a must against the likes of Cory Spinks and Jermaine Taylor.
I must say that everyone in Pantera's camp is just as over zealous as he is, to me the guy hasn't fought anyone and his thin frame will only allow him to fight, conditionally, at the weight he is at right now. He claims to be ready to fight anyone and would be willing to fight anyone up to crusier, if he does that I will be the first to accept that challenge because he is a weak loud mouth little B******. I could easily punch through his weak a** defense, and I must say his speed was not impressive at all to me. Plavik, consistantly bullied this guy, killing him in the corner.
I also must say, Pantera, could not hold up to Jermaine Taylor, he would go in round three because I noticed, Taylor likes to take at least two and half rounds to feel out his fighter before killing them. Cory spinks would knock out Pantera in the first round, because Spinks is much faster with the punch and is a very sly slick fighter. Pantera is not that smart, just a fighter thats all.
By the way the Taylor-Spinks fight wasn't a fight at all, it looked as though both guys were best friends and didn't want to fight really but Taylor was still quick the jab, playing his game of beating you by points.
Pantera's camp needs to get him with more fights with american fighters, that latin american bullcrap record is nothing to me, everyone knows american fighters are better fighters P4P, except for Lennox Lewis and other heavy weights, lol.
I must say this about the Pantera camp, they know how to party!!!! Partied with them all nite long the night before the fight, it must be noted Pantera was not there, which he should have been, I mean hey if you get beat like the way he did, you might as well have fun before taking your a** whoping, lol.
Also, Plavik needs to study the game a little more or his traniners need to teach him to go for the kill early, there were several instances in the third round where Plavik could have finished the fight quickly but it was like he wasn't sure that his fighter was finished, but it was clear, Pantera, was finished.
The fight should not have lasted til the sixth round, it should have been a 3 round tko by Plavik.
It was the best fight of the night to me by far.
Also big shouts out to the Pantera camp, they are coold people to kick it with it.
I hopes that sheds light on everything.
Miranda fans, don't try to make excuses, this guy is not a great boxer to me, he a fighter (and not very good one) and we all know fighting and boxing are two different things, lol.
Well, we all know that you can "copy-paste" your B.S. all over the forum. But it still doesn't change the fact that you're one ignorant boxing fan.
;)
Tito, I can beat your favorite one handed fighter, lol.
They guy fought weak fighters, Plavik wasn't even that good but he was technique sound.
Also you favorite boxer has no legs and weak chin, I would beat him till he needed a physical therapist to interpret spanish and english for him
You can believe that.
Sorry but who are you?Quote:

No one has heard from Miranda? No comments after the fight??? I am shocked ::**
He might of killed himself ???
There are no comments because his camp was shocked as all out doors, they left as soon as the taylor- spinks fight was over.
I know because, again, I befriended the camp while they were in Memphis, I can give a hint and say they were talking with Lights Out Boxing, possibly a fight with that camp, not sure, but I did over hear freddie roach say he will fight any of his fighters except james toney right now.
I am not sure who Lights Out oxing has that can fight Miranda but it will be interesting to see what developes.
Im sure Miranda is feeling pretty bad about this but he will be back agian. I still think him and Pavlik are the two best middle wieght contenders. He should fight a top 20 guy next and then look to either Abraham or some one.
Even better he should challenge John Duddy. If he knocks out Duddy that will build his moral up and bring him back in the talking for a title shot. Im a Pavlik fan. Im a northeast Ohio boy. But I still have respect for the guy. Miranda is one tough mug.
I have this image stuck in my head of Miranda and his trainer exiting the arena with their heads hung and there arms around each other.
Miranda, staring at his feet, asks, "Do I have to sleep with the dogs tonight?"
"No," his trainer says solemnly, "you can sleep in the barn."
Very impressive win by Pavlik.
Miranda suck azz.
So you're Kelly Pavlik's "boy" huh? That must be fun, i guess. He's a pretty good fighter. Hell of a size for a middleweight. But Edison Miranda is a joke. Jesus that must have been a polished night the first time I saw him box against Green and he looked pretty sloppy then. No defense. Just trades and doesnt even seem to be aiming. Yeah, Pavlik can hit; he's got that length that he can use as leverage when he gets an opponent on the ropes and he knows how to think in the ring, even more importantly. But Miranda was just pure brainless testosterone in that ring, same as he probably always is and will be. I dont see him going any farther than he is right now. Talking how he would fight both Taylor and Pavlik in one night. Yeah right. What an idiot. Pavlik should get his shot at Taylor. Then you can see how he will look against a real fighter who knows how to box and not just go in there and slug blindly. Personally I don't think he can pull it off over J.T. though.Quote:

Confucius say, "STFU AND FIGHT."
Pavilk did very well in pullin off the upset. I was very impressed. Miranda will be back though! He's tuff mofo with tremendous power, he just never got going Saturday night and was outclassed by a better boxer. Pavlik is very good, he proved that straight power punches usually beat wide power punches, and just what a damn good fighter he is. I hope Taylor gives him a shot, he fukin earned it by beatin down Pantera.
8) Got to eat CROW on this one! Miranda looked slow and showed nothing compared to what I thought he should have. What can I say he can look so much better than that but maybe Pavlik is all that and a bag of chips. Will have to see what happens next. They will have to move Pavlik up in class seems hes there now with the tops in the game. Lets see if he can stay there. All the luck in the world to him now! 8)
