Cory Spinks maybe?
What about Rock Allen? Although I've never seen him fight, I was reading about him during the last olympics and supposedly (from the article I read) he was the next big something. They described his fighting style as exciting, very fast, dropping his hands ala Roy Jones ect, but has anyone here been able to catch one of his outtings? I just looked on Boxrec.com and he's 10-0 with 7 ko's, looks like he's on the right track.
I'd say Kelly Pavlik might be a big star soon. Just because he's a midwestern white american who can actually fight. I've never even heard of such a thing before. And you gotta love his attitude in and out of the ring. Great guts, can take a punch, he is also well spoken and presents himself well when interviewed. He can do big things.
I do think that Cotto has some great pottential. But I also fear for his future on his next two fights. Lets see how he does and hope for the best.
Taylor, if he grows some balls and starts listening to Manny between rounds. I can't believe he was afraid to get hit by a welterweight with no power.
And how about the guy who beat the giant "White Tyson" Chagaev. I think he has a good shot of making some big noise. And he is got the nickname to attract some curious fans who want to see who is this guy who calls himself Tyson.
Although he did have one set back, I still wouldn't count out Joel Julio. Awesome knockout ratio and a pretty boy of sorts.
Pavlik has a legit shot at this....He is Irish after all....Quote:

I do think there are a few bright lights out there.
Pavlik, especially being white will generate huge interest if he can keep winning. When was the last time the world saw a truly great white fighter? If he continues to win he could be big.
John Duddy will probably replace Arturo Gatti as the limited ability, give em hell, popular for some unknown reason kind of fighter.
Amir Khan still promises to be a huge star in Britain and has so far delivered in virtually every single performance.
