Ruiz is quite a tough nights work though he isn't that easy to beat and Tyson got knocked out by Mcbride and Williams and Mcbride couldn't knockout out my puppy to be honest that guy sucks.

I don't think washed up Tyson was good enough for Prime Roy Jones im sorry but i don't i give praise to Tyson but thats my opinion nothing odd about it at all Tyson was a shell of his former self even the slow botha stayed away for 5 rounds and outboxed him that should tell you how far Tyson had slipped and prime Jones is about 10 times faster than Botha.

it's weird right now i'll bet tyson supporter think tyson could kayo all the heavy's right now because he's just that good..the roy that fought ruiz would beat the tyson that fought lewis, etienne,williams,mcbride,

The younger tyson would be a completely different story as he had the style and discipline to make use of his power. He had excellent head movement and threw combinations not just, hail mary one shot bombs.

Yes but topic was the 2000s Tyson not prime one and you are right even Botha was outboxing Tyson until he got that punch right at the end of the round and i have watched most of Tysons fights old and new and i wern't saying he could only fight well for 2 rounds in his prime i was on about 2000s version and TYSONBRUNO you brought up Nielsen he was like Butterbean with a better chin at that point in his career.

I think you may have misunderstood.. We are in agreement, I was also talking about the 2000 tyson when i said his stamina would only last for 2 rounds. I think a lot of people feel 2 rounds all the old tyson would have needed. The early tyson had enough energy to keep punching all the way through a fight. The 2000's tyson was shell of what he was before. They say powers the last thing to go, So i guess tyson stood the proverbial punchers chance but odds are with Jones being as cautious and prepared as he was for a heavyweight fight, the old faded 2000's tyson wouldnt land that shot.... as the fight went on he'd be less and less likely to land much of anything unless he fouled first. Also the reason tyson lasted long with with nielson was because he never had to chase him, Nielson was hardly the moving target. As for his fight with lewis, other than trying to jab a little early on... Tyson didnt do much but try to plod and follow lewis(who also wasnt that fast on his feet) around the ring and then leap inside occasionally only to be smothered or punched on the way in and being spat back out. Lewis stifled much of mikes offense with his own and kept tyson toward the center of the ring.

Make tyson chase jones and wiff at nothing but air, while being clinched and pot-shotted for 2 rounds and his spirit would have been broken.

Uhh Danny Williams beat Tyson and Kevin Mcbride beat Tyson so would Jones there was no real difference between Tyson that fought Lewis or Williams he could only fight good for about 2 rounds and that was it.

I agree with this. Mike did not land the clean punches he did in his prime since Williams and Mcbride would have been stopped in one or 2 rounds in Mike's prime. Jones would have stayed away for a few round and stopped Mike on cuts probably. Mike has deteriorated more than I thought he would. Losing to Williams and McBride is pretty bad. Jones could beat him if those guys did.

yeah i think tysons problem was at that stage of his carrer he was only good for 3-4 rds and he would gas out, but he did look good against williams for the first 2 rds, then he gassed out. williams was in serious trouble in the first rd and then something happen to tysons leg, im not using it as an excuse cause williams would have won anyway cause at that point if u can get tyson past the 4 rd hes urs for the taking.
with mcbride tyson was dynamic in 10 second burst's and thats about it, he was winning every rd but gassed out.
he should have retired after holy 2

Yeah I agree. Tyson fighting now is not worth anything. If he was beaten by McBride he would be beaten by anyone who could last a few rounds. I think even Jeremy Bates could beat Tyson now.
