They make a noise and play what they want at an english football/soccer game. In fact many of the boxing bouts have rowdy audiences too. Its never been a problem.

Once the bell rings then it is business time for the boxers too. Im sure they are focussed on the job in hand rather than "hmm...I wonder what is that oddball number playing out there?". Boom. Thwack. "Oops, I got knocked out!" Oops.

They are after all professional sportsmen...

The only sport where I feel it could be a hindrance is possibly golf! Now that would be trying!

It's just a difference in what you enjoy out of boxing.

I like technical boxers better than brawlers. While I give props to Hatton for the win...it was an ugly fight & he does a bit too much huggin for me.

It wasn't THAT ugly....I respect Hatton because he comes to FIGHT.....Floyd comes to pot shot and jive his way to a decision.

It was a great performance. End of. "Castillo looked finished from the first 5 seconds"??? Please dont give me that. That 3rd round could have gone either way. Castillo was trying to get into it. Hatton was intense. Its a tough job for any fighter to get through that ferocity and non stop come at you style.

As for the crowd. Well, so what?! They added life and character to the proceedings. Nothing wrong with going out and making a night of it. They were on holiday and were having a good time. Fair play to them, I say!

Good observation, bestp4p. I've seen a lot of fight-ending body shots, but none have gotten the reaction we saw out of Oscar that night. And no matter how many times I watch the replay of the shot, it always looks glancing to me.

Regarding last night's fight, it was a tremendous showing by Hatton, who did his fans proud. His swarming and clinching style, while not totally crowd-pleasing to some (myself included), was incredibly effective against an overwhelmed Castillo. While Castillo didn't seem to be the fighter he once was, that is hardly Hatton's fault.... he just came to fight. And the body punch that ended it was brutal. It was clear immediately that Castillo wasn't gonna get back up.

to keeps it REAL, coming from a man whos sat RINGSIDE quite a few times, it was always the BRIT FOLKS who really impressed me who i met who flew all the way the fuckkk over to vegas to sit ringside with me. id ask them what they did for a living(assuming they was like millionaires to afford such a long journey and spend good money on a ringside seat) but they'd tell me they were pretty much average blue collar working men who just LOVED the sport of boxing and loved their favorite fighters!

one time i was in santa barbara with this chick and we was fukkkin around in the OCEAN wink wink and she basically accidently kneed me to my liver RIGHT ON THE LIVER CLEAN EFFECTIVE KNEE TO THE LIVER and i was paralyzed and i started sinking down to the bottom of the ocean cuz my body was frozen/paralyzed in the taking a huge dump/constipated position lol

anyone whos fought or sparred KNOWS that when u get nailed to the liver you are FROZEN/PARALYZED. ur body is basically forced to get in a wierd asss position that makes you look like your taking a HUGE DUMP while being super constipated lol! it sounds funny but thats the utter TRUTH!

Don't recall many fighters who will bring 9000 fans half way across the globe consistently and create an atmosphere like we had last night.
80% of those brits are working class and that little weekend would have cost them a good months wages at least so being British they grab it with both hands and enjoy every minute,drink LOTS and be merry and more importantly BRING THE NOISE O0

You get caught with a shot to the liver like you said YOU CAN DO NOTHING!!!!..........

If your body doesn't allow you to move you cant do a thing!!!!.....

I picked Castillo to win as a sentimental favorite even if I don't have much faith in it.....I have a habit of that.....I was hoping for one last good fight out of him....IMO if he was on for just one last night he and Ricky would have had a barn burner for sure.....

Hatton did a good job and he was all business....Ricky is ready for who ever is willing to fight next....

I still do not think DLH at 154 would be a good idea though
