Re: What?!? Hatton vs. May weather? Cotto vs. Mosley?
I have watched the fights. And yes...Wright can be rangy. Both Forrest and Wright used their range and size to frustrate Shane...Wright using his outstanding jab. Shane also likes to pressure...and neither Wright or Forrest allowed him to get comfortable or get close. I would never say Cotto has no chance. He is a young and strong fighter. But his style doesn't match up well with Shane. Cotto is going to want to trade and come forward....well....Shane is the faster fighter who also pack a punch. Cotto doesn't have a great chin nor a great defense. Does Cotto have a chance? Sure he does. I just think he has a small one in this fight.

You dont know what you are talking about. They both fully pressured him the entire fight both times. Just watch em before you argue about it. Mosley has been my favorite boxer since before you even knew who he was. Im not dogging him, Im just speaking factually. Everyone counts Cotto out. Its a mistake. Im not saying that Mosley cant win. As a matter of fact I said that he has a shot for sure. I would just put money on Cotto.
So i can't be a fan and be unbiased ?? and you can't talk facts with me cause im a fan ?? what actual fights have you seen of his then he isn't afraid to get hit he uses great defences like Willie Pep did like Whitaker did doesn't mean your afraid to get hit it just means your smart whole point of boxing is hit and not get it and why are you doing childish comments like Gayweather ?? actually i don't think i can talk facts with you when your doing childish comments like Gayweather.

He's right, Mayweathers style isn't running, it's all about how he lets the guy invade his 'area' with his footwork, he lets hits opponent move towards him, then they throw a shot, and he covers up and leans, and using his arms and his shoulders he'll make a gap by nudging the guy, then when he see's an opening he'll throw, usually he'll land then move again and reset, its called boxing. Obviously he doesn't do it all the time, but it's certainly the blueprint recently for fighting at 147 + Oscar. Back in the day he used to do everything, watch his fights with N'dou, Chavez, Gatti, Corley and most of all Chico Corrales (R.I.P), he used to be incredible to watch, absolutely jaw dropping at times, he was much more aggressive, I hope that Floyd comes back against Hatton because that would make a very excititing match, I also feel that would give Mayweather a better chance at winning because Oscar was winning rounds with his pressure fighting (Not one of Oscar's best weapons) against Mayweather, Hatton (A much better pressure fighter) has the perfect style to win against Floyd. Castillo also showed the way.

Totally agreed you get :coolclick: from me couldn't of said it better myself its obvisious this guy hasn't watched alot of Mayweather's fight otherwise he wouldn't be that Mayweather runs all the time Ndou fight is perfect example he stood toe to toe with Ndou especially 5th round which was a great round one of the rounds of that year.
Re: What?!? Hatton vs. May weather? Cotto vs. Mosley?
Well guys, I've seen almost ALL of (G)mayweather's (big lol to inzel) fights and I can state for a definate fact that his motto is "hit only if you know you won't get hit" and not the typical "hit and don't get hit". Mayweather will quit before taking a real challenge. Taking the DLH and Hatton fights are the only props he'll get from me. (DLH fight is only slight props though). LOVE DLH but a few years too late.
Re: What?!? Hatton vs. May weather? Cotto vs. Mosley?
Been away for a while. Look, I am completely biased against Mayweather. I wont call him Gayweather because you are offended by it. I dont like him as a boxer or as a person. I honestly feel that he runs way too much. To say that I havent watched his fights is just wrong. I have been watching him for a very long time. I seriously feel that he runs more than fights. I have no doubt in my mind that he is afraid of getting hit. In my opinion, you know you are a great fighter when you hit the canvas and return with a fury. You will never know if you are a great fighter if you are afraid of getting hit. Maybe, hes afraid that he wont have that fury. I dont know. Do I think its a good idea to get hit alot? No. Do I think its smart to get knocked down just to find out if you have the real heart? No. Not at all. The whole reason he never gets the "big" paydays, like all of DLH's fights, is because hes not exciting to watch. Noone likes watching somebody back-pedal for 10-12 rounds. Its just plain out... not fun to watch. As a person, hes a cocky bastard with a really bad attitude. If he was that way but fought like he talked, then it would be ok. But he doesnt. Im not saying that he has no skills at all. He obviously knows what hes doing with a record like that. Hes just not a fighter that people like to see. Except for maybe you guys in this thread.
