Funny you should mention the old uchi mata, as one of my main techniques was Harai Goshi which sweeps on the outside instead down the middle, usedit with a makikomi technique to good effect, crashing it to ground with a kesa gatame just to be safe lol but thanx for that... :badass:

Mate, harai Goshi is a fantastic throw. I'm a sweep man myself. I get some odd looks when i am walking to the drinks machine at work and suddenly pull out a Kouichi Gari or a kosoto gari on an invisible opponent. Also opening doors with a sweeping technique. :o

My son (who's 5) has a pretty mean Tai-otoshi on him already

Anyway...this is a boxing forum. I'll get flamed if i turn it into a discussion on the favoured throws of kodokan judo. Props to you for competing at a decent level. (i take it you are BJA?)
