If I was stuck on a desert island with a woman, It would have to be a woman who doesn't sweat the small stuff. So I guess I am going alone. :-X

But if I had to take someone, maybe Sarah Silverman.

I'd rather take a book than a move. Maybe Bullfinch's Mythology. That would keep me going for a while.

Music? hmmm tough call. I'd get tired of the same old rock/blues album all the time. Maybe something classical. Beethoven's Sixth, or Glenn Gould's The Goldberg Variations comes to mind.

Bilbo knocked this one out of the park, in kind of a creepy way but still.

Music-Radiohead-The Bends. Its not my favorite album of all time but every song is good which you would think would have to be a must. Plus I wouldn't want a real uptempo or real laid back album as you need variety and this would work.

Movie-fuck I don't know. Shaun of the Dead just cause I watched that again the other night. I would probably want this choice back, I just can't think of one right now. For some reason I can watch The Mission over and over, not sure If I'd choose that though. Go with Shaun of the Dead for now even though its kind of a weak candidate. I hate making lists.

Woman-Mila Kunis. I don't know why, I just saw her in a movie not long ago and was shocked by how good she looked in it.

Book would have to be the series of George R.R. Martin if he ever finishes it.

Or War and Peace just cause I always said I'd read it and will almost certainly never get around to it.

And of course trees grow in the desert, The Joshua tree being the most famous example. :p

'Desert' can refer to a place with little to almost no vegetation. This kind of desert has a very small amount of rainfall (not particularly none) each year, but many types of flora, including trees, have adapted to the barren conditions.

'Desert' can also refer to an area that is lacking in something of any kind: The place was an artistic desert.
^^^ This is the term that is referred to in the phrase 'Desert Island,' due to the lack of habitation.

Oh I understand the intent of the word just fine, I was just wasting time quibbling on something trivial, that happens quite a bit here on Saddo's. I guess it depoends what you mean by desert. A true desert, such as the Sahara, or the Gobi. You're not gonna find many boat making materials. I'll just add that the definition of desert, in the context of desert Island, seems to be about something different, which is being deserted, so I concede the original point to you. :cool:
