I just don't understand you bro. The whole point of this 'fun' competition was to try and out debate each other. In grabbing the first post Daxx seized the inititive by proclaiming Diaconu to be the best prospect in the division. It was a hard blow and you would have had to fight a tough battle to debate your way out of it but that's the whole point of the competition.
I'd be more than happy to debate Daxx on the same issue, let him go first, select Diaconu and I'll try and provide a counter argument,

I really really don't see the point of debating just for the sake of debatin and nothing else. It's silly. Should JT lie? Just to win a debate? Should he lie and just say Diaconu is crap,there are better prospects etc? I don't think so.
He didn't need to lie. He could have argued that Chad Dawson was still to be considered a prospect considering his age and the fact that he's only just begun his title reign.
He could have argued how Dawson could be the man to unite the division and provide America with its next superstar.
If Daxx would have argued that Dawson couldn't be considered a prospect because he's a world champion then JT could have argued that as the scheduled bout between Dawson and Diaconu fell through that BOTH fighters status was still very much dependent upon their meeting each other and hence they were both in the same position.
He could have tried a different approach entirely and instead of trying to find one fighter to match Diaconu he might have mentioned 5 or 6 others and highlighted examples of other prospects coming unstuck.
There were loads of ways to approach this that were better than lying down and giving up.
I know that ICE sure as hell wouldn't have given up, he's a dog like me, you got to beat us and beat us to make us quit.

No subject is too hard thats where your wrong i had very hard subject and i still won it by giving Bruce the facts sometimes i lied little bit i admit it but Bruce did not pick up on this or my mistakes and that was his mistake.
I still gave Bruce all the facts sometimes i didn't agree with all of it but i didn't let Bruce know that so that was little white lie i agree but thats the whole point otherwise it would be pretty pointless just saying you agree with your opponent all the time.

I just don't understand you bro. The whole point of this 'fun' competition was to try and out debate each other. In grabbing the first post Daxx seized the inititive by proclaiming Diaconu to be the best prospect in the division. It was a hard blow and you would have had to fight a tough battle to debate your way out of it but that's the whole point of the competition.

Sorry buddy, this is supposed to be just a fun little game between friends all in good nature. It's a competition to see who can provide the best argument, it doesn't matter if the debate is weighted in favour of the other, in fact that just gives the other person a chance to shine by being inventive, trying to approach things from an unusual angle etc.
If you don't want to go against your conscience in arguing a point you are not 100% committed to or you think being involved in this 'shitty little organistation' some how compromises your high integrity and moral values then by all means withdraw and leave it to those of us who are happy to carry on.

That was easy Lets talk about George Foreman and why I think he is the quite possibly the 3rd best Heavyweight of all time
Then Adam said.
Shoot, I love big george but I think that's too high. In terms of pure boxing ability there are a lot of better fighters... A prime Tyson, Lewis, Ali and Joe Louis are all better in the ring in my opinion.
He hit like a mule and had an amazing late career but prime for prime there's at least 4 people above him in those stakes.
Ali showed us that he didn't have much of a boxing brain and of you could hang in there with him you could beat him.
I'm in awe of his come back career but the division was weak at the time (which still doesn't greatly cheapen what he did) and had things happened slightly differently against Moorer it would of been a nice try but a lopsided UD.
I hate having to argue against George but 3rd best is just too high...

They don't tell you what to debate they just pick teams and say right you will debate this, and you will debate this.
Then the students go off and prepare their arguments. In a test enviroment (like our competition enviroment) personal opinion need not have anything to do with it. You are trying to demonstrate your debating skills not testifying before a high court that what you are about to say 'be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth so help me God'. ::**
And what's even funnier to me is that you quit over Daxx's selection of Diaconu as the biggest prospect in the division. I mean come on only a single prospect in the entire division? Just dig a little deeper. ;)
I'm more than happy to debate Daxx on this very issue, I'm still confident I can both win the deabte and also not sell my soul to the devil in the process.
If I win I'll be sure to rub your face in it, but if I lose I will take it in good humour and not let it bother me in the slightest. :)

We are debating, a question gets set and we have to take one side or the other. Truth, honour and integrity have absolutely nothing to do with it.
Take my own debate with Rain. I'm in the position of having to defend the flyweight division and argue that it's more exciting than the current heavyweight scene.
Now any longtime poster on Saddo's knows only too well what I have had to say about those little child men in the past!
Still that's the task I have been set and so I will do my best to present my case. Am I lying or presenting untruth's in my arguments, NOT AT ALL! Everything I have said so far is accurate. I am just looking at the debate from the other side, and presenting evidence accordingly.
If you ever did debating at school you would know that that's exactly how they teach it. They will divide you into groups and set a topic for debate. They will then tell you which side you are debating, you don't get the choice. Sometimes they will actually set the task of everybody HAVING to debate and argue in favour of the side with which they may disagree.
Why do they do this?
Because it's crucial for a well rounded approach to life to be able to see things from more than one angle. In order to truly understand a viewpoint you have to have experienced seeing through those eyes so to speak.
You couldn't do it now because schools and the politcal correct brigade are too touchy but I remember at school debating things such as the existence of God and also whether we were right to have a Monarchy.
We had to argue the case for whatever we DIDN'T believe.
This was so we attempt to see things from other people's viewpoints. It's actually a very healthy thing to do.
JT accuses me and ICE of being hypocrites and liars but I don't see it like that whatsoever. We are just both able and willing to attempt to view things from the other side of the fence. It means we are open minded and are not dogmatically opposed to looking at information or facts that conflict with what we already believe.
If you really understood about being truly open minded and able to take on board all sides of an argument then we wouldn't be having this conversation. :)

I was an original guy on this idea of bringing this MMWC to a competition and my thoughts were for it to be like business as usual just like we do everyday.. Now according to you its a cut throat debating shark tank that forces us to against what we truly believe just to win a debate.... NO THANKS!!!!
