Re: Floyd is "willing to die December 8th"
Mar, one of my points was that stats can be boring when overused. Another was that stats can be misleading (a point that has been made by many people on this site when attacking the record of Calzaghe). Not my fault that you can't read between the lines.

Stats hold a load more credibility in a debate than some fanboys theories.
Stats suggest PBF has the best resume of current fighters, therefore he is p4p nmber 1.

Do yourself a favor & stop attacking members of this site the minute that you come on.
Apparently this is not your first incarnation as you seem intent on knowing the rules of conduct & immediately breaking them.
Stats & discussions go hand in hand with ICB. You may not agree with it, I may not agree with it, but it doesn't make it wrong. Nobody's accusing you of being a Hatton fan...but you seem to be a fan of arguements more than discussions as all of your recent posts are beligerent in nature.
I hope that you can respect the fact that here on saddo's...that aint really appreciated. Please conduct yourself a bit more gentlemanly.
Cheers.

Again...try not to be so caustic...continueing in that direction will result in your posts being deleted.
Once again...thanks. ;)
Re: Floyd is "willing to die December 8th"
Wacko, this is not the minute I've come on, I have been visiting this site for over two years. I realise that my first post was a little aggressive, but some of his statements antagonise people, and will garner a response. If we all agreed, then this forum would be dead. Hope I'm not banned in future, as this site is quality. Gentlemanly behaviour from now on, I think.

I am passionate about sport i don't need lecture from wind up merchant and i think your find my posts are always well thought out and i gave Ross all the facts did i not ?? yet your complaing and whinning like little girl when you wasn't even in this conversation if you don't think my posts are any good then debate with me 12 posts each and we will see but i don't think i would waste my time with some newbie poster who hasn't got a clue.
Your attempts to show that you are always right and to belittle other posters smack of arrogance. And before you accuse me of being a blinkered Hatton fan,
When did i belittle anyone ?? i was having conversation i didn't call Ross any names i was trying to make him see it from my point of view so why don't you keep out if you haven't got anything good to say other than crying like a baby.
I'll be amazed if Hatton wins, but I also think you should get out more. This is my first post - can you give me a cc?

Well if you have then you would realize that my posts are always well thought out and really and truthfully you shouldn't butt in if you haven't got anything good to say other than whining.
I realise that my first post was a little aggressive, but some of his statements antagonise people, and will garner a response.
Hold on a minute i gave Ross the facts and i was just giving him example he didn't find it offensive and no one else would so i don't understand what the hell you are talking about your just whining about my posts and all i was doing was having friendly debate with Ross well if you don't like our debates here then you can leave simple as that.

Yea Yea blah blah trying to score brownie points that crap doesn't work with me.

just dont be too surprised when it happens
That's a bit much
Why would you say that?
He's only moved about 20lbs or so....if that.
That unfortunately deserves a :dunce:
Floyd's moved up over the years just like Hopkins has & trains his a** off like a gym rat. James "Fat a**" Toney has been moving up & down on the scale & has used the roids more to control weight & gain mass at the same time.
There's not a huge noticeable difference in Floyd & he's actually toned muscle to more his actual weight.
I agree with ono that the above theory deserves a :dunce:
Actually there are many steroids that don't affect your weight and help improve your endurance. Building muscle isn't the only effect that you can get. Most of the track and field athletes, and bike riders aren't using bulk producing steroids.
My theory is that most if not all high level athletes are taking them, or have at some point. The athletes being named are far from isolated incidents. And ask some pro football players how prevelant it is, it's less common not taking them.
thanks for that input
Ross was saying he suspected because floyd has moved up and down in weight. Which annoys me so again.... :dunce:
To suggest this without having any evidence other than 'he's too good so he must be on something' is a complete joke.
And if your theory is correct then it doesn't really matter if he is......it would be a level playing field anyway if everyone is on them.
i can't believe i am defending mayweather....
I wouldn't be surprised if you two end up on Bilbo's list.
Re: Floyd is "willing to die December 8th"
And he and his nuthuggers moan when they bash him, such a bullshitter.

I dont know where this little statement from Mayweather came from. He doesnt take enough chances to get hurt, let alone get killed. And like most of his fights, against Hatton, he isnt going to need to. I dont think Ricky is going to get close enough to hurt Floyd to the body. I see him coming forward and getting blasted at length and kept at bay all night. If he is strong enough and fast enough to be able to drive Mayweather back into the ropes or a corner and unload to the body, he may have a chance to hurt him, but I dont think he's gonna be able to land that much (or enough to matter) on the fighter who has undoubtedly one of the best defenses in boxing, today or yesterday. I see Ricky Hatton getting punished a lot like Arturo Gatti did a few years back. I dont think it will be that severe of a beating but it will be similar to it. Floyd Mayweather by an easy and lopsided UD. Like has been said before, Mayweather doesnt take fights where he has a chance of losing. That being said, Ricky Hatton has little or no chance in this fight.
Re: Floyd is "willing to die December 8th"
Well, as a true boxing fan and ex-amateur boxer, I can't help wincing when fighters say that they are willing to die.
I have seen enough fighters get maimed to know that they don't really mean it.
Saying things like that is bad for the sport and guarantees sensational abolitionist headlines whenever a tragedy does happen.
As a multi-weight world champion, the P4P no 1, superfight guy .... I think Floyd should realise he has more responsibility to the sport than just selling tickets for his next fight.
One big SadClick to Floyd from X
:(
Re: Floyd is "willing to die December 8th"
He's willing to die like a rabbit running away. lol.
Re: Floyd is "willing to die December 8th"
During the Miranda vs Green fight, one of the commentators mentioned that when ever fighters make comments like "they will die before lossing" they almost always lose.
