Hop lokked old in his last fight, plenty of people have argued this point with me but they've failed to change my mind, he looked old and won the fight on expieriene, skill and wit alone, his body has greatly aged and it's time for him to retire.

A fight with Hopkins for Pavlik makes as much sense as Holyfield/Ibragimov. If Kelly wins everyone on the planet will just say he beat up a geriatric geezer and it won't mean a thing; just like Sultan got no credit for Holyfield. Lots of other fights for Kelly to make and take other than Hopkins, who's IMO boring these days and just wants more money. A no winner for Kelly whether he wins or not, except I would imagine good money. I'd still watch it though ;D

If Taylor can recover mentally from that brutal KO (HUGE IF). I'd pick him to KO Pavlik in the rematch. Remember it will be at 166 so Taylor should'nt gas out and he might be stronger in that weight.

But I am not sure Taylor can recover. It would be better if he gets a tune up first.

Yeah, big if. He could k.o. Pavlik, but don't forget Pavlik will probably be alot stronger to with the added weight. Another good fight hopefully.

I belive Steward's traning made Jermain soft. I remember under pat burns, jermain would fight 12 rounds without breaking a sweat. Burns camp was all buisiness, and burns was there 24/7 with no HBO obligations. The right move is going to Pat Burns. Under Burns Jermain would be the fighter he used to be. The fighter that most of you obviously havent seen.

I've been saying all along that he needs Burns back...but that being said...Burns might not be the solution to the Pavlik puzzle.

Kelly's no joke. Most didn't know of him coming up...but he was making noise. He was always in the top 10 middleweight contenders slot...just no one out there would give him the time of day. HBO had shown him quite a bit on undercard bouts & he was firing up ESPN2 quite a bit...but they started really banking on him when Taylor started coming apart at the seams.

Taylor needs to go back to the drawing board...win, lose, or draw.

Emmanuel Stewards interview on Doghouse illustrated that Manny is going nowhere.
He gave Pavlik all the credit in the world and actually blamed Taylors flaws on Pat Burns.

Watch Taylor prior to teaming up with Manny...big difference in his ring demeanor.

I hate to say this of a "world class trainer"...but Manny's full of shit & he came off like a chump talking all that shit about Jack Lowe & Kelly Pavlik. He should be ashamed.

I always thought that Emmaneul was a GREAT trainer, but as i said to Scrap before on another bopard i wasn't at all impressed when i met him
