I had Pernell wining by 3 rounds.

Re: John Duddy to face former World title challenger Howard Eastman
Anytime people have discussed the idea of Duddy vs Pavlik on this board they seem to think Pavlik would utterly dominate the fight without giving Duddy half a chance. From what little I've seen of Duddy and I mean little, he seems to be very quick (quite a bit quicker than pavlik) but then again so was Jermain Taylor :D. Does he really lack the ability to contend with the elite's at middleweight? And if so are there any videos posted online that could help us clarify this?

We'll find out soon enough about where Duddy is going after the Eastman fight, or at least get a better gauge. He wouldn't go 6 rounds with Pavlik right now IMO; hell I would have liked to see him fight Miranda if Pantera was still in the division and see if John could go 6 with him. Him and Mora need to fight so one of them can go bye-bye.
Re: John Duddy to face former World title challenger Howard Eastman
I think if John Duddy would add a decent defense to his game, Other then that I think he is a pretty exciting fighter. Strong, hard puncher willing to trade. He is also a nice guy when you hear him speak nothing about his personality to make you wish he would get his *** handed to him.
If he could just manage a good defense :-\
As for Sergio Mora thats a guy I can't wait for someone to knock his block off. So arrogant and full of himself. After his last fight and the horrible performance he is going to apologize to his fans for the performance. As if anyone cares.
It is the way that he sits in that Contender Arena ::** if you want to call it that, next to Ray Leonard and then acts like he is genuine all time great doing the world a favor with his presence that makes me want to puke.
Re: John Duddy to face former World title challenger Howard Eastman
Honestly I think Duddy is no better than Elcock but that doesnt matter. Eastman is better than both guys at his best and far more seasoned. Duddy has a terrible defence and Eastman will have no problem taking advantage of that. It comes down to how Eastman deals with what Duddy dishes out. Im taking Eastman by decision in this one.

Just out of interest, are there any up-and-comers in Britain that you don't think are over-rated?
It is irrelivant , this is about Eastman v Duddy , and im sure many agree with me that Duddy is over hyped and over rated.
The British press and public always BIG up their prospects its just the way it has always been.
And my opinion is that Eastman will KO duddy . so lets wait and see.

Well I think it is relevant in determining whether you are truly being objective or simply have an agenda against British boxers, or even if it is just anti-current boxers because things were better in the old days. Press will speak about prospects...because that is what the press' job is. Surely there will be someone from the current crop who will break the world stage, and they'll be among those "over hyped and over rated" fighters you refer to.
I just think that it's easier to piss on their parade than it is to try and look objectively and see which ones have the potential to make it.

Dont get me wrong i actually like Duddy , but he really doesnt deserve to be talked about the way he is , and to be linked with Pavlik is just daft , he doesnt deserve a shot yet.
As for british prospects , i dont see the next Benn / Hamed / or Honeyghan , in the current crop.
I like a true brit to do well , like anyone , but if i dont like a fighter it doesnt matter if hes english/american or from mars , he gets both barrels.

Fair enough, and I agree that he's nowhere near Pavlik standard at the moment, but he's got plenty of heart and if he shows a willingness to improve his defence, then he could make it up there or thereabouts IMO.
