Guerrero v Juarez>?!? I'd be rooting for Guerrero! I REALLY dislike Rocky. Plus Guerrero showed a real warriors attitude, the week his wife is diagnosed with luekaemia,he still fights. I totally respect that.
Yeah see I've always rooted against Guerrero for some reason but felt bad for him that, that sucks for him. I'm just saying with Guerrero at least he might have a chance and its at featherweight. I don't want him to get another title shot, I just think its inevitable, he's just one of those guys that gets shot after shot.
Juarez better not get another title shot. He DOES NOT deserve anymore. I'd like to see Juarez v Valero. It would be decent test for Valero and Juarez seems to be able to take punches well, his biggest asset!

He does seem to have a fairly good chin but also he's just so cautious, he likes a guy that's really really worried about getting KO'd, too cautious, he just doesn't do enough.
Is it me or is JMM getting easier to hit lately? He's such a precise puncher though, everything is just perfect. I think a JMM-Pac rematch is very intriguing. Not sure who I'd pick.

Thats the only worry: v John,Terdsak,Jaca,MAB and now Juarez,JMM has been getting touched more and his skin is SOOO dam soft! He always looks as if he has been beaten up bad when he hasnt! Good point on Juarez, but I think it's also the mentality he's been raised on.
I've seen the SOto-Juarez fight about 5 times,I love it and I distinctly recall Juarez corner saying don't throw too many punches,I would rather 10(or something like that) clean punches than more punches.

Yeah they replayed the Terdsak fight on Friday night here and JMM was getting cracked by some straight left hands, and it made me think about a Pac fight.
Offensively though he seems as good as ever, I mean dude would have to be paid large amounts of money to throw a sloppy punch. The jab, right hand, left uppercuts, body work, everything's just picture perfect.

Totally right my man,as per usual. I love his combinations too. In fact,in his last 4 or 5 fights,he has become P4P,one of the most exciting fighters around. His offence is awesome. You're right,he has actually always been open for the straight left hand but if Manny fights like he did v MAB,JMM should be able to handle it.
Also, remember that Manny is STILL nearly always off balance after throwing his punches, something JMM WILL capitalise on. It's a 51-49 fight in favour of Manny at the moment,I'll be rooting for JMM all the way. If JMM starts better, concentrates from the beginning,he can win. What a win it would be,he would be contender for P4P number 1 imo!!!

I was shocked to see ESPN showing highlights of this fight last night. Why they don't cover more boxing, news? ESPN is lacking big time when they claim Poker as a sport and cover that kind of cr@p. Sport Network my arse.

That is suprising, why would they pick this fight of all fights. They act like boxing's not even a sport, I mean for fuck's sake they cover the WNBA.

That's what I've been saying. Hell, they have BOWLING on right now. That's not a sport; unless you consider trading flesh eating diseases by wearing shoes worn by 40,000 other people a sport.
Re: Everyone is forgetting Marquez v Juarez this wekend too!!!
...nothing surprising. The fight went exactly as I expected, though not the way I wanted. Juarez can't fight from outside so keep him out and he's done, that's exactly what Marquez did. Almost exactly as Barrera did to him in rematch except Marquez seemed to be more serious than Barrera who seemed to be fooling around a bit. Strange thing about Juarez is that he can't throw decent straights or jabs, but mostly hooks. That's one reason why he can't fight from the inside. The headbutt cut in the 1st seemed to bother him but it didn't matter much. The only good thing about Juarez is that he had a pretty good defense - he used his gloves pretty well as many shots actually hit his gloves. If it weren't for his nice glove defense, he'd probably not lasted 12 rounds, especially the cut, which was bleeding from the beginning, would've opened up earlier and fight stopped. As for Marquez, at 34 and just like Penalosa, he didn't seem to have diminished a bit.

Well said. They have Been declining for years. You would F!!!!!! think with THREE channels they would show some respect as in the past when they were one of the Best Boxing friendly Networks around Imo.
I like The classic show they put together though.Alot of prime stuff but All in All Its obvious there Heart Is not in the Fight game anymore >:mad F..'Em!
Re: Everyone is forgetting Marquez v Juarez this wekend too!!!
Why all the hate for ESPN? They could have more boxing coverage, but what they do have is good. They got ESPN classic boxing on at 5 PM weekdays, have great Ringside biographies on great fighters, and run seasons of FNF and WNF with some action packed match ups. I think ESPN treats boxing with much more respect and gives it more attention than say, FSN or other networks.
