Its over and over again really, last year they said guzman or valero will cause problem for pac not just cause of guzmans skills or valeros power but becuase of their natural size. Well guess what guys pac is bigger and stronger, where did those oppinions go? In fact pac is the one moving up to lightweight not guzman or valero well atleast not yet. Guzman has had trouble making weight i believe. I think pac will catch him by the 6th and that chin will be tested and if we know pac we are damn sure by the 6th round pac has already dished out a load of punishment to the body. Unfortunetly for guzman his not faster then pac, nor stronger and most of all he has never been in with a pacman that puts elites through hell.
IN the future hopefully pac will see guzman in the lightweight division, i don't think skills are enough to beat pac. maybe if we can combine valero and guzman power and skill now that i think can beat pac. Unless its jmm who can survive and counter but then again don't know now that pac is no longer that one demensional lefty jmm fought before.
It's already been announced that Manny is moving up after this fight. I can't remember where I read it but they are going to have David Diaz fight on the undercard, and win lose or draw,Manny is fighting him at 135 next. The likelihood of seeing Pac v Guzman is slim to none.Guzman is way too high risk, low reward.
Pac and Guzman will NEVER happen! Pac will fight three times this year. If he happens to win his next two (JMM and David Diaz) he will fight Juan Diaz in another big fight of 2008. Guzman isn't even on the waiting list. At this point, if Pac goes through JMM, David, and Juan, it's time for retirement. Pac will have nothing left to prove and will probably not even think about moving up to Jr. Welter. The only thing that would remotely start talks of a Guzman vs Pacquiao match is if Pac loses two of his bouts in 2008.
Arum refuses to promote a fight with Guzman in it. Arum is about pairing boxers together that produce exciting fights. Why do you think his stable of fighters include Pacquiao, Cotto, Pavlik, Arce, Chavez Jr., Margarito, Morales, and Soto. Arum isn't about the defensive wizard or the tactical genius. He has all the pressure fighters that go into every fight looking for the knockout. I don't know if Arum is really thinking high risk, low reward as much as $$$$
