And now a statement, Pavlik will more than likely move to 168 as well seeing how he's having trouble making weight also
I agree Lyle, Pavlik was made to look silly in the 2nd round....he was outclassed .
Credit to Pavlik for pulling it round and getting the KO but i honestly can't see him sparking JT again.
I think JT will box more cautiously this time round and sneak a UD.
Pavlik did look silly; trying to make giggly faces. JT looked even sillier not being able to finish Pavlik off with a freebie given to him.
Notice how he never even came close to putting Pavlik down again. Oh that's right, he was weight drained. Well, it will be interesting to see how he approaches the rematch with the only guy to put him and keep him down. He'll freeze up and get lit up again.
That's not true. Later in the round, Taylor landed a right hand that sent Pavlik flying all the way across the ring.
Just give Pavlik credit where credit is due.

Are you getting horny over it? What's with the boobies?........ ;D I already challenged you on the other thread about Taylor/Pavlik.

I am a bit.
Ok i'll stick to that thread
Re: why is taylor fighting pavlik for no titles?
No Ono; we'll keep it on this thread so we don't totally hijack the Mayweather thread. You asked me if I was angry. Why would I be? If it ws anyone other than Pavlik I would be rooting for JT. I don't think he gets enough credit. I only really rooted for Pavlik because of how much b.s. Manny and JT talked about Pavlik and basically thought he was a joke fighter, so I was hppy to see him get owned like that. But I won't be upset if JT wins the rematch at all. Would be a great thing for a classic trilogy being lined up ;) I see him getting tore up again, but who knows? I just want to kill that stupid bug crawling around your profile. Let's say a 10 cc bet and picture change. I win I can taht dumb insect of yours and you can change my pic of Katsidis to something. Good?
Re: why is taylor fighting pavlik for no titles?
If Taylor wins and that is a GIGANTIC if there won't be a 3rd match. Pavlik is middleweight champion and if he loses, either by a razor-thin edge or by a blowout why would he want to do it again? He already got the recognition by beating the MW champ, the 2nd will be for his biggest ever payday and if he loses then he can just drop down to 160 again and be king. Taylor will probably be retired by the time Pavlik can't fight at 160 anymore (he said he wants to retire by 30) but if he weren't then I could see Pavlik jockeying for a 3rd bout.
Re: why is taylor fighting pavlik for no titles?
Supplemenatery to trhe above post, Jermaine will realise that Kelly would be highly motivated for a third clash so he may be content to leave it at 50 50 unless financially huge money is offered.
But I gotta tell ya Jim, Pavlik is the favourite going into this and Jermane has a monumental physical and mental battle ahead of him.
Re: why is taylor fighting pavlik for no titles?
Let me say for the record, that I don't think Taylor has the ANYTHING to pull off a victory over Pavlik. If they fought ten times, Pavlik would take eight of them.
Re: why is taylor fighting pavlik for no titles?
I have to be fair to JT and change my statement about him talking alot of sh#t about Pavlik. He really didn't say much and was actually pretty quiet about Pavlik, didn't say much either way. It was Manny who pissed me off the way he disregarded Pavlik; and Miranda had really burned me. So my bad. JT, you never know with him. He now knows Pavlik is a serious threat, obviously, and may come in very prepared and focused. I think he'll panic, but you never know.
Re: why is taylor fighting pavlik for no titles?
Taylor needs some serious therapy to deal with his nervous issues. I think he could have beaten Hopkins more decisively had he not been so nervous. You can see it in how tight his body is; energy is just pouring out of him that he should be using to beat his opponent. He'll have the same problem with Pavlik and I see him being able to do no better than the last time. Maybe he'll get a knockdown because Pavlik isn't tight enough defensively, but his head is hard and he'll get up and return the favor. I predict Taylor will go into a semi-retirement after this like Lamon Brewster and Chris Byrd; not really retired, but retired.
Re: why is taylor fighting pavlik for no titles?
we gonna see alot more punches and harder ones.
these guys are fighting at a more comfortable weight.
this is going to be good....the first fight was a fight of the year candidate, so if the secondone as as good as the first one, it'd be funny to see taylor-pavik wins fight of the year twice in a row...rofl (not gonna happen tho...at least not this year
