I've wore flip flops to mariners game before, I once talk smack to this one reliever inside the bullpen. He got piss and tried to scare me by pitching a fast ball towards me but the thick fences was in the way. I told him i could throw my flip flops harder then he throw his fast ball. I forget this guys name but he wasnt any good. he ended up losing the game for his team.

They should fine him and take his license away for a few years, That's what would of happened if a white fighter had made a similar remark. Yeah it was an obvious ploy by BHop. There must be some competition inside Golden Boy Promotions to see who can sell more PPV's than ODLH or something. But the only thing i'm wondering is what he's going to say if he loses? I remember when Anthony Mundine was fighting Sven Ottke, he said pre-fight (i think) that Ottke hits like a girl. And after some karma catching up with him and getting ko'd by a punch to the temple he said something like he still hits like a girl. So Ottke said well you got beat up by a girl then.

Wetback- is a derogatory term for a person that has immigrated illegally to the United States. Commonly referring to Mexicans, the term is based on the presumption that the person in question swam or waded across the Rio Grande to get into the United States, getting his or her back wet in the process.

The term coolie- was applied to workers from Asia, especially those who were sent abroad to most of the Americas, to Oceania and the Pacific Islands, and to Africa (especially South Africa and isles like Mauritius and Réunion). It is me you are so right. I went to a school half black and white. Both bantam football teams went to the middle school. Akron Kenmore and Akron South. One is black one is white. We hated each other. But it is me . I jumped my self. When I was jumped at 15 I was 6 foot 180 pounds. I hit puberty when I was 11. I was a mark to begin with. I have to have my shirts taloried because of they don't make a 19.5 neck size with a 34 35 length. I stuck out and I was one of the bigger kids. I had 7 kids rush me off of there porch. I had my orbital in my face broke(now my eye droops) from having my head stomped on while I was on the concrete. I had a broken arm and a ruptured spleen. I was walking home from South Akron Educational center on East Ave. I was taking a drafting class to keep busy. What did I do you ass. You might think you are all that and a bag of crap because you train. There is allot more than boxing. Try fighting off a 2 time runner up and 1 time state champ 189 wrestler who train in boxing.
I would like to see how some one would do in a Kamora from a dude 6' 235lbs. Walsh Jesuit 1997. #2 nationally ranked wrestling team in the United States of America.

I wish I could explain to you the sickening nature in which the black leaders of my home town are basically extorting money from the taxpayers to pay for a Civil Rights Museum....I'm 100% for the museum it's something the entire community could be proud of but 5 years and millions of dollars later it's still not close to being ready to be opened........and they only had to rennovate a building to make this museum, it's not like they had to do anything too dramatic.....the museum project has now earned the nickname "The Black Hole"......and the moral of the story is Give us the money or you're racist, and don't hold us accountable for anything because if you do then you're racist

And oh our city council wanted to clean up the police department and they fired our Cheif of Police because he was "spying on black officers".....that sounds bad but the truth is those black officers were helping out well known drug dealers.....it's a total shame I guess if we're going to have corrupt policemen then they have to be black ones.

Now wait just a cotton-pickin' minute here. You weren't " making light of how Bernard Hopkins explained away the racism in his remark " at all, you were whining that white people don't get fair representation in America. Because it's not like there's a political party in America that stands up for their interests, is there ? It's not like anything in America is run by white people, is it ?

And I don't agree with southern stereotypes at all. I don't believe that all southerners are how they're commonly portrayed. I'm sure that not all southerners regularly wear pointy hoods and that not all rural southerners have radical ideas about animal husbandry. I'm even perfectly prepared to accept that there are some southern families whose family trees fork every bit as much as those of their northern compatriots. I'm not saying all southerners are like that. I'm just not into making those sorts of stereotypical judgements.

....and that leads to promoting other things by use of racism if you use Hopkins' rational. He said it was to draw attention to the fight therefore creating more intrest in the fight itself and I guess it's true IF Bernard wants tons of white people to watch the fight to see him get his ass whipped, by a "white boy"......it's not a positive way to draw intrest in the fight and it's not a wise way to draw intrest in the fight because if he does beat Calzaghe, there is Kessler and Pavlik and people if they are mad enough will want to see them have their chances to whip his ass.

Plain and simple Hopkins' comment was uncalled for and if there is to be racial equality then consequences and repercussions need to follow ANY racist statement and not just the ones made by white people

And has Bernard Hopkins be repremanded for his remarks? Have preachers demanded that he lose his job over his remarks? Has he had sponsors drop him because of what he said?

Then I reckon there is a difference between when a white person says something and a black person.

I don't see how mocking southern crybabies because they think that they're a persecuted defenceless group is self-righteous. Making the case that southern crybabies are a bunch of self-righteous pricks is however very easy indeed, and something you do with your own posts on a regular basis.

I'm still at a loss on how a member of the most self-righteous ethnic group on earth can call other people self-righteous. After all, I don't even believe that I'm one of god's chosen people.

North Carolina will be a fantastic place when evolution there starts to catch up with the rest of the world.

Well I just want to ask you, was the Civil Rights movement simply a movement to "get back at the white man" or was it a movement to make all men equal?

If all men are now equal (or more so than they have been at any time in the past) then why are certain people punished severely for racist statements and others are just ignored or people let it slide......that is the main point it's not about "Poor poor helpless white people" it's about being equal.

North Carolina has probably the best centers for higher learning in the South and maybe even America as a whole.

The south has always had issues with the civil rights movement.

Southerners will tell you that while whites and blacks can share the same drinking fountain in the south now, it was a dastardly act for the gummint to force all those good southerners to do what they'd never done before but would have been delighted to do, of their own free will, at some point. It's just a shame that the mean ol' gummint made them do it, thus muddying the issue. This southern line of reasoning extends to everything from the minimum wage to the Clean Water Act to the attempt to pass the Equal Rights Amendment. By forcing them to do the obvious right thing, gummint was leaning on the common people, and it wasn't fair. Heck, the worst thing about it was the suggestion that they had to be forced, by law, to do the obvious decent thing. It was true they'd never done it before, but they had been planning to get around to it, and probably would have done it five minutes after the law had been passed, if gummint hadn't gone and gotten its panties in a bunch. Now all they could do was bitch till the end of their days about the injustice of being forced to not lynch nigras when there was nothing good on TV and not pay their employees in shiny beads. Not that they'd have ever done those things anyway, but oh, the injustice of being told that they couldn't do it!

It's true that there are lots of racist crackers like Rush Limbaugh and Michael Savage who make endless racist remarks but they're never sacked or bothered about them, because the vast majority of their remarks go completely unnoticed. So it's unfair to bother one boxer over one comment when endless comments by commentators and pundits with national audiences go unnoticed all the time.

Some OLD people don't like Civil Rights but most any rational person doesn't have an issue with race, especially not to the extent there has been before. We have come a LONG way.

You apparently either don't understand the history or misunderstand the history of racism in the South or in America in general....you do realize that America was the only nation to have slavery as one of the issues that spurred on the Civil War.....that war created resentment and Reconstruction laid the roots for the KKK and other vigilanty racist organizations. Meanwhile other nations just bought the slaves and set them free....therefore little to no resentment and no casualties resulted from those ends to slavery.

What have Rush and Michael Savage said that is racist?


I do expect this to be worse than what Imus said which wasn't really racist and could barely pass for sexist......but Al Sharpton got in that spotlight, he does love the spotlight so.


And aren't you familiar with "Two wrongs don't make a right"....either it's wrong to say or it isn't wrong to say but that has to be the rule for EVERYONE......i'll be damned if you'd use the N word down here, North Carolina is extremely progressive in the larger cities, I can't speak much for the small towns but for the most part this state #1 never wanted to get in the Civil War to begin with and #2 slave labor wasn't a big part of the state's economy and we never developed the slave owning aristocracy that ran Virginia and South Carolina....and we are considered a Valley of Humility between Two Mountains of Conceit (those mountains being VA and SC)
