Yeah makes sense, Rocky's greatest performance came when preparing in the Russian snow.

Watchng Hearns make me nostalgic for Hitman...his right cross is even the same, dont know about power wise but he looks alot like his pops style wise, getting full range with that cross. if he grows a little goatee you would think your in a time warp.
No one else Is speaking on it so re-cap of Hearns 17-0 (13) Vs. Juan Astorga 11-1-1 (6)..............Hearns is not his Father.
At 29 he needs to really get in with some guy that will ask the tough questions.Astorga basically a gimme opponent over 3 rounds, hurt to the body in 1st and rocked hard in last round (3),Astorga not really throwing anything and contrary to what Merchant say's....Hearns Is not a good finisher.Good jab,Focused on body but these are the fights that make people go.."Oh yeh,I saw that one" Needs to do what you do to outclassed opponents at this juncture,Finish them.
Hearns leaves right extended a little and Astorga getting brave and has re found his legs in the 5th.walking to Hearns and actually catching him a few.OHHH,nice right hand drops Astorga at end of 5th,Now can Hearns come out in 6th and finish?
Wow,Astorga was KO'd by Joey Gilbert :-X really? Hearns looking for a highlight shot.working jab in 7th.nice left to body by hearns.Astorga a little more willing.Hearns getting flashy and cocky with good jab and long rt's.does a half bolo punch ;D
This is my first look at Ronald Hearns and he just dropped Astorga with that rangy right cross, he could use a better jab it looks like it just his range finder, again just like his dad...as soon as I typed that he starts popping the jab, lol. He uses the "flicker jab".
Thanks for the updates guys, keep 'em coming.
Not really impressed with Hearns so far... One nice right hand, that's about it though...
how many more fights till the main event?
Man, Hearns shut me up with the ko...
Impressive 8th round K.O! That left hook had Astorga sprawling all the way across the ring from one rope to the other. He was off balance but was still nice shot...Hearns stopped him with a couple right crosses up against the ropes.
I almost forgot about the Tank Vs. Kimbo fight on showtime..damn alot of fights today.
Navarro Vs. Mijares is up next, then Castillo-montiel, then Pavlik-Taylor
Should I rbr this bilbo or you watching it?
LOL Mijares has a dude with a wrestling mask in his corner..lol
For those who can't see the fight.
Ronald Hearns vs. Juan Astorga
First Round: (10-9 Hearns)
Ronald Hearns starts out with the jab in the early part of the round. Lands some nice jabs and a few body shots. Basically a feeling out round with Juan eating jabs and unable to get inside and score.
Second Round: (10-9 Hearns)
More jabs to the head and body shots from Ronald Hearns. He is still content to keep Juan at bay with the jab. He is pushing the action more in this round than the last.
Third Round: (10-9 Hearns)
Ronald Hearns had Juan Astorga hurt in the third, but was unable to finish him off. He did land several big shots, but Juan was able to blunt the follow up shots from Ronald and regain his senses and make it out of the round.
Fourth Round: (10-9 Hearns)
Ronald Hearns getting more aggresive as the fight goes on. He is coming in closer now which is giving Juan more opportunities to score, but Juan hasn't been able to take advantage.
Fifth Round: (10-8 Hearns)
More jabs from Ronald to start the round. Juan finally finds some offense thanks in part to Ronald getting in closer. Down goes Juan and a huge counter shot from Hearns! Lucky for Juan, or unlucky depending on how you look at it, its is the last seconds of the round and he survives the round.
Sixth Round: (10-9 Hearns)
Ronald Hearns is painting him with the jab as he has been all night. Ronald Hearns shows better defense this round, but his offensive production went down. He still landed some nice shots and easily took this round like all the others before it.
Seventh Round: (10-9 Hearns)
Juan trying to cover up and force his way inside, uneffectivily. Since his shots are so wide when he misses he leaves himself wide open for countershots, which Ronald has taken advantage of all night. Hearns is content to paint Juan with the jab and wait for countershot opportunities.
Eight Round: (TKO Hearns)
More of the same from Hearns with the jab. Juan still trying to force his way inside unsuccessfully. Hearns has Juan hurt again and down goes Astorga! The referee asked him if he was okay before waving it off.
Summation:
Ronald Hearns looked good against an overmatched opponent. His height and good use of the jab makes him a tough challenge, but the few times Juan did get inside he seemed a little perplexed. Other than that good performance from Ronald.
What's next... the Montiel fight or Mijares?
Nice crisp action in 2nd.Mijares very nice footwork and resetting fast.Navarro staying close and both really good out put so far.....This will be half ass by me,Any one doing the RBR, Im upstairs dealing with a dog trying to eat my cat :o

Round 4
Looping left misses from JN...pace has slowed a bit...both showing good d....off balance push has JN's hand touch canvas...ruled slip....both trade hooks..jab war..JN throws 2 left uppers...it impossible to cover all the shots these little guys throw so I'll just make note of the bigger lands and whos controlling the fight...that was pretty even back and forth..calling it even

Did you see Taylor In the Dressing room ?? Not exactly a text In confidence ?
120-108 Navarro YOU HAVE to BE DRUNK... NO farking way
Mijares wins But that judge should be fired ASAP but I hope Its a mistake
120 -108 for Navarro :o
Navarro came in with white trunks and is leaving with red ones. Very close fight..
Ok guy's I'm all ready now it's Castillo vs Montiel up next, should be a good un!
Castillo has pledged to be the aggressor which against Montiel should mean an explosive fight. It's entirely possible that this could even upstage the Pavlik Taylor main event.
Looking forward to this one
Round 11
CM once again bouncing and jabbing, timing his shot now nicely...JN still missing JN does get the better of the inside actionJN lands a good left straight..JN eyes are swelled a bit and the doc looks and they are fine...CM seems to be in a different gear as he throw a flurry, then another...Doic again this ref seems to want to stop it...its not even that bad...JN's trunks are drenched in blood, he has a cut and blody nose..
That round had a head clash, I saw on replay...
Giving that one to JN10-9
CM107-JN103
Round 12
Mijares on his bike a bit more he may know its in the bag..not looking to initiate, and JN is wary a bit...alot of nothing so far...CM land a nice 3 shot combo....CM coast in this round and still may have won it. 10-9
Mijares on my card 118-112
Holy shit one judge had it 120-112 for Navarro WTF!!!! BAN that mofo!!
Someone just has to fuck my joker pic up.
120-108 Navarro ?!!
He obviously filled out his scorecard before hand and hit the craps table during the fight.
Oh no....Its Im fair butt Im firm Joe Cortez :o
Ok guys here we go with Montiel vs Castillo.
Cortez is in charge so expect no infighting. Montiel's hair look ridiculous, he looks like he's stepped out of Happy Days.
WOW,Montiel drops Castillo with nice left hook,Good thing I did not bet on this one :-X Fernando fighting and looks like a fire plug here Sorry Bilb's On we go
i'm getting real psyched for the main event. P-T I really moved me, pavlik getting off the mat to do a great knockout, working class kid, nice guy, and all. (remember how after round 2 when they asked him how he was, he had this sweet smile on his face, "i'm fine, i'm fine.") credit to taylor for coming right back against what seems to be a real monster.
